First of all this is not a uni-kitten but a caticorn. As the Mother of Unicorns, they're basically relatives so I would know, and if you say otherwise I will have my babies fart glitter in your sorry faces.

Secondly, the book was more entertaining than I thought it would be.

Yumoyori Wilson has great imagination. She has the best ideas, the best blurbs and a really joyful way of telling stories. And while she tends to add dramatic background her characters, her books are always sparkly, colorful
Where can I get a fucking uni-kitten?

S.S.S: Year One was a pretty cute little reverse harem book. Silver and the guys started off not knowing each other and then forming a team at this spy academy. From there, they all wanted to date her and she's all like - why the hell not? Of course everyone looked at them weird.. plus it didn't help that her creepy ex douche of a boyfriend went to the same spy academy. Also, her ex two faced friend was there as well.

If I said I was shocked about her ex boyf

OMG this book is absolutely fantastic!!! From the very first page the story really sucks you in as you get to know Silver and all the amazing things that make her so remarkable. The writing is superb at really bringing the story to life and the dialogue had me laughing, getting mad, and all sorts of other emotions. I was totally immersed in this new world and I really did not want it to ever end yet alas I know it had to. For the record I so need a uni-kitten now!!! A total must read!!!! I total ...more

I'm not normally one for academy books, usually I find them rather tedious and 100% predictable. Well that just goes to show, that you should never judge a book by its cover genre or trope!

What can you say about a perfectly crafted world where you are immediately immersed in not only the characters but The Whole concept that is coming to life before our very eyes.

I always enjoy Yumoyori's worlds! Each and everyone that I've been lucky enough to visit, is so thorough, colo

**You can see this full review and more at Book Briefs:**S.S.S. Year One is the first book in the Supernatural Spy Academy series by Yumoyori Wilson. The Supernatural Spy Academy starts off with a really cool concept. With an origin of many super hero world stories, there was a change that spread throughout earth which changed people into witches and other supernatural creatures. The Supernatural Spy Academy is a prestigious school where shifters train to become spies. But ...more

As of right now, having just finished the book, I'm undecided whether I'll read the next one. I probably will if it isn't as long as this one. I'm not sure the way she condensed the whole year into one book is something I'd want to read again.

I liked parts of this book a lot; however, overall, I wasn't that sucked in. There were parts of this story that seemed like they moved extremely quickly, but then other parts moved so slowly. Parts of the relationship just seemed to pop into existence, ki

Silver Spell Solange has had a dream to attend the Supernatural Spy Academy (SSS) since she was a small child. One her beloved father encouraged before his death making it even more important to her now. Only Silver is a witch and the world's most prestigious spy school only accepts shifters. When Silver gets an invitation to try out for the SSS she is determined to be the first witch ever accepted. Joining up with a werewolf, a dragon, a fallen angel, and a hellhound Silver uses her strong magi ...more

This was me giving this author a second chance after reading Brighten Academy and not even bothering with the third book after I found out about the time jump that skips important plot points. So, here it goes.

So far, not bad. Good characters, good setting, good use of magic, but I still think the author skips far too much detail, as though she is afraid of writing something large. The author seems to only pay attention to the plot- and sex-related scenes, therefore paying little attention to t
Yumoyori's newest series, Supernatural Spy Academy, is off to an amazing start with S.S.S.: Year One. I absolutely loved this story!

Silver is a great character. I love her tenacity, ability to look on the bright side, and her kind heart. She looks after those she cares about and will do anything to achieve her goals. When she finally gains a shot at becoming a student in the academy of her dreams, four male shifters enter her life and help her with her dreams. Their relationship, mostly just a

A witch walks into a bar. There is a wolf shifter, dragon shifter, fallen Angel and a hellhound. Sounds like the start of some supernatural joke right? Wrong 😉. Silver Spell Solange is the youngest witch in her family, which also makes her crazy powerful. She also happens to have a huge heart, kind soul, and rugged determination. As long as she can recall, her main goal was to get accepted into the S.S.S. or Supernatural Spy Academy. One small glitch...they only accept shifters to THE most elite ...more

Wilson never fails to amaze me with her intricate world building, in depth plots and fantastic characters. While there is a similarity to her stories (you know the same author penned them) they each stand alone in terms of breadth and narrative. This one, a first person, single POV RH, ventures further into the academy genre, inviting lovers of paranormal of get sucked into a school for gifted spies. It’s unique, rather heartwarming and just as detailed as anything Wilson writes.

Yumoyori has created such an enchanting world with multiple shifters and witches, it’s amazing! 🦄🐺🧙🏼♀

SSS: Year One is the first in its series, obviously a paranormal RH. It doesn’t end with a cliffhanger and there certainly are some super hot intimate scenes. Just as the name spells out we follow our main characters through their first year at Spy Academy.

Now the only reason why I have given a ⭐⭐⭐ rating is... i didn’t feel like there was any real conflicting drama, that final exam w

Supernatural school fun

I enjoyed this book as it takes us through silver's first year at SSS, alongside her four other supernatural's that make up her team and harem. I liked the characters individual stories and how they all interact with each other. At times felt the author would introduce extra aspects into the story that we as a reader could sink our teeth into, but it tended not to get any further then basic information. Which I know may be explored in the later books and to focus on a whol

Another great series by the author. This was a bit dark as well compared to her other series especially with what the heroine experienced although the rest of the guys have their own dark past as well. There’s probably a foreshadowing moment with one of the hero’s especially with a certain legend. I was disappointed with the heroine’s former friend but I’m glad that she gained a new one. I wouldn’t say this is a slow burner but I love the flow of their intimacy with the heroine. The cliffhanger ...more

This fantasy world ensnared my attention from the start. With a well developed world building and characters that learn and grow through the story, you can’t help but read until is over and crie because you have to wait. In this moment I am very grateful that Yumoyri Wilson doesn’t leave us waiting too long.
This new book is about a witch who desires to study in the supernatural spy academy. But Witches aren’t classified as supernatural in this version of Earth. So Silver struggle trying to ente

My favorite book by this author so far.

Catching up on reviews. Didn’t realize kindle wasn’t marking these completed.

Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...

1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.

2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.

3 stars... This book was ok, but I w

Yumoyori did it again. I have a weakness for Academy-series and I was looking forward to S.S.S.: Year One WITH A PASSION. We meet Silver Spell Solange (yes,SSS again). Silver is a witch and her mission is getting accepted into S.S.S. There's only one problem. She isn't a supernatural shifter. With a stroke of fate (well, meeting 4 shifters), she manages to get accepted.

But there's more... So much more! Silver manages to acquire a magical ring, that grants her strange po

The twists. The turns. The humor, drama and intrigue. I've never read an academy based story quite like this one, even from the same author. The author created a world that prides itself on all kind of species, but is egotistical enough to deem what species they think are best. Magic doesn't mean supernatural but it doesn't stop Silver. She's a determined individual who wants to accomplish her dreams. And she meets men who have similar dreams and the "humanity" to accept differences. She learns ...more

I have always enjoyed Yumo’s world, but she really took this new series to the next level! First we meet Silver, a powerful witch who has always dreamed of becoming a Spy. To do this she needs to be accepted into the very exclusive and supernatural academy of shifters. Witches aren’t seen as paranormal in this new

Fantastic read!

I did not expect much from this book before I started it. I hoped it would be satisfactory at best, because so many shifter romances I've read have been really cookie cutter and dull. This was not one of those books. I absolutely loved reading this story, the characters adorable and unique and quirky, the world is creative and there are so many cool tidbits that really make it wholesome. There is so much going on with the school and the relationships and the tests that made Silver

This was a great 👍🏻 book 📖 with all that’s needed to keep you entertained from beginning to end ...great characters the main female lead with a kick butting kinda girl 👧🏽 that took no crap from no one , it made their relationship stronger between the four gorgeous men and Silver , I felt she was the glue that kept them grounded and held together as feelings and emotions developed even though she was just a human the men being different shifters couldnt help but stick by her ....I hated 🏫 but if ...more

A highly entertaining and fun read.

I didn’t really know what to expect with this book. I enjoy academy type stories and thought the cover was beautiful so that is what initially drew me in. This story has so many great elements. I thought the characters were really well-developed. I loved the main character and the guys. The story definitely has an anime vibe to it. There’s a lot of emotional content but it’s also action packed and of course has really fun comedic relief. I loved Star and her sp

Great RH academy read!

I’ve always liked Yumo’s books. I enjoyed this story of a witch who despite the odds was able to make it into a prestigious supernatural shifter academy and on the first day pretty much meet her 4 shifter soul mates. While not instalove, it is pretty close. There was mystery, action and some steamy scenes, but the romance didn’t overshadow the whole story. Some heavy topics come up (rape, parental death, etc). The book was long which was great but also had a tendency to ski

Unbelievably amazing

If your looking for a good academy, supernatural, reverse harem then this book is most definitely up your alley. You would fall in love with the characters and there story. I love the female character Sliver Spell Solange because she is fierce and strong. This is really a must read. Some parts of the book would make you sad to hear there story and some parts would have you jumping out of your seats to see what happens next. This is the kind of series that I know will get even

Silver Spell Solange is an 18 year old with a beautiful, outcast soul, and she makes for an excellent FMC in S.S.S: Year One. Spy Academy is exciting, adventurous, and oh so delicious with Silver and her harem of sexy shifters. Challenges abound, but the group rises to meet each one with grace, courage, and love. Naturally, there's enough sexy time to really get us excited for the relationships to blossom in book 2. Solidly written and easy to read, you'll fly through this 580 page beast of a bo ...more

Silver is an amazing lead character and she’s definitely a badass, I like her the most out of all the lead females we’ve seen so far. I honestly love academy books from Yumoyori. They make me wish they were real so I can attend.
Another amazing start to a new series! Loved it! The story and characters are amazing. I also laughed so much throughout the story.
I really like that this harem has a mixture of different supernatural species--a hellhound, a dragon, a werewolf, an angel, and a witch. I love stories with hellhounds. They make everything that much more fun! I love all the guys, but Dimitri and Yuriel are by far my favor

There are very few books I haven’t read of Wilson’s and I love them all for various reasons. However SSS blows all of them out of the water and it hard not to see why. Silver is unique as hell and she not afraid of anything. Her flaws are an asset and there no qualms in taking the lead.

There no drama, just action and discoveries. You don’t want to miss a second of their adventures. It’s straightforward yet it’a complex and much more

I actually really enjoyed this book. It’s been ages since I read a book this long from Yumo. I felt like she changed up her writing style a bit, especially when it came to the dialogues with big reveals. Less one sided and more like real conversations. I loved the relationships. And the storyline was ok but I did feel like it could have emphasised more issues with the villains. They were absent for most of the book which decreased anticipation and drive. The big jumps in time also mean we miss a ...more
