Overall, this series felt very much a mess. Ash never develops and the friendship offered to him by the other characters in the novel remains entirely inexplicable. 2 stars for all the books in this series for me, this series was shallow with a lack of character development and a failure to fully deliver on the only remaining logical plotline left to the author after such a lack in development.
Ash is written directly from the Psychopathy manual for teenage narcissists. There is no redeeming qualities, he is not even a rogue/villain hero, he's just a twat. Absolute WORST MC I have ever read. Will not read anything by this author again.
