The List Writer's Lust is a hot and witty romantic comedy about a 40-year-old woman who'd rather have an elevator quickie with a stranger than settle down with the man of her dreams.
Gwen is a cunning freelance clickbait writer. When Gavin, her rich, handsome, and devoted boyfriend proposes, she panics at the thought of happily ever after. Gwen puts her perfect relationship on hold for eight weeks, and instead of planning a wedding, she sets out on a provocative journey of one-night stand after one-night stand. Will she want her happily ever when the eight weeks are up? And if she does, what are the chances that Gavin will want her back? This serial romantic comedy brings together the boldness and humor of Sex in the City with the naughtiness of 50 Shades of Grey. What you get is fantastically sexy chick lit (and the guys think it's hot too).
Erotica is my second love. I thought this story was a "soft" erotic story. Reason as to why I thought this was a "soft" is because its was a comedy . Well color me red!! I was wrong and this was an erotic comedy just not soft. Some parts of this book was so fun ny , I laughed really hard. Got m y boyfriend saying what the neck is wrong with you?? I just said it was a funny book and it was . I loved how the author made it funny and erotic at the same time. It was a great read!!

If you like romantic comedy, you'll enjoy this book. It was a fun read with likable characters and an entertaining story line. Gwen is a forty year old woman who basically has a mid-life crisis and a fear of a long-term, permanent arrangement. Afraid to tie up her heart she goes on a journey of one-night stands. This book will have you in stitches at times. A little sexy, a little naught and a lot of fun to read. I read an arc copy via Book Sirens and voluntarily chose to write a review. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Whoa, I didn't exactly know what to expect when I started reading this lovely because I didn't read the blurb, but knew it was going to be adventurous by just looking at the cover. This one is for the 18+ crowd. I enjoyed this tantalizing story, haven't read anything like it! This appears to be a series of episodes, hmmm, can't even imagine, what Episode 2 will entail, but I will be sure to one-click so I can find out.
Wow! If you are looking for a quick read with lots of heat here it is! It definitely brought the excitement and sizzle! Going to be interesting to see how all the episodes play out.

The copy I received was for episode one. Though the description of the book led me to believe I would receive all the episodes, I wasn't upset by this. After all, it's clearly labeled as a serial romantic comedy.
The book was also described as being hot and witty. I got hot - there is plenty of hot. The witty was lacking. I suppose the asides could be construed as witty, but I found them to be more explanatory. After all, this is only episode one.
Gavin is described in the blurb as rich, handsome, and devoted. I feel like I barely got to know Gavin. The author paints enough of a picture that I get why Gwen doesn't want to marry him, but I also got the sense that Gwen was over this relationship a while ago. Perhaps readers will learn more about Gavin in future episodes. As for now, Gavin is in love with Gwen and quite boring.
Gwen and Gavin's relationship was said to be perfect in the teaser. Perfect? Gwen was clearly not happy, nor satisfied. How is that a perfect relationship? I think it was more perfect for Gavin than Gwen.
As for the actual episode: way to jump right into the deep end. I would expect this content in later episodes, not in the first episode. The action seemed quite extreme for what Gwen says she is planning to do.
My takeaways are that the blurb talks about the entire series and episode one doesn't quite match up to it, the reader barely has enough backstory to jump on board emotionally, and the author punched the accelerator quite hard (possibly to read-bait readers into continuing the series). I'm not going to take the bait.
If you like tantalizing sex scenes, this may be the series for you.
This is a deeply improbable, delightfully raunchy short story about a woman and her needs. I'll let her describe what she wants:
“Gavin,” Gwen said with tears in her eyes as her sarcasm shifted to sorrow, “I love you and we are compatible. I want to be with you forever. Forever! That’s a huge word and a mighty long time. But here's the thing: yesterday, I didn’t know what I’d want today. I’m evolving. I have desires. Think of me as a Russian nesting doll, but in the form of a vagina. My all-encompassing vagina is yours. But the little vaginas in me need some play, too.”
Um. Well. Yeah. On to the sex!
She begins her sexual exploration without Gavin, and with her gynecologist. It's a Red Tube worthy piece of performance art, complete with a third performer, ridiculous reasons to be there, and panting, mind-blowing orgasms. Her inner voice must be paid by the word, as the stream of consciousness inner monologue can be grating at times. The sex, though? Rawr.
The book is her first foray into OrgasmQuest, ending with a link to the next book. It's a short (and arousing) read.
I received a complimentary copy for review purposes.
I wanna thank Booksirens for the posibility of reading this book.
This was hot. I wasn’t sure of what I was gonna find in this read.
But for started i really like the style of writing of the author. I think that she really transports us to the mind of this woman with high sexual desire, with this hunger that she can’t fulfill.
The story tell us about a woman, Gwen. That wants to experience more of her sexuality, but his boyfriend, since seven years ago, doesn’t want the same. So, they came to an agreement. They're gonna break up for two months, and then, after she does whatever she wants, he is gonna decide if he will take her back again.
In this first part we experience one of Gwen fantasies. I don’t wanna spoil it, because it is a really short story. But it goes hot, really fast.
I really love the job of Gwen and I wish we could see more of it.
The thing that maybe I didn't like is that everything happens so fast, and a lot of the things are told but no show, and others things, are really light explained.
Is a really fast read, and a fun one if you like erotic tales.

The book, 'The List Writer's Lust', is about a woman named Gwen McCormick who writes lists about everything under the sky, and is very sexually active. She is unmarried, and even though she loves her boyfriend Gavin, she wants something more than their casual sex-life and family. She desires sexual adventures. One day, she decides to forsake everything and fulfil her fantasies. The novella is, as expected, erotica with a distinct description. Her first adventure commences by fulfilling her gyno fetish. The scenes were well-formed and detailed, but the characterisation was very weak. I didn't understand the reason behind my decision except for the fact that she was very immature. I enjoyed reading it as erotica, and that was all that the novel encompassed. Also, I respected the author, Violette Salinger's, urge to explore the depth of woman's desires unapologetically; that was indeed commendable.

I find it hard to review this book, since I realized only by the end of it that it wasn’t really a book, but rather one of several novellas. 🤷🏻♀️
When reading Erotica, I really prefer it when there’s a good story behind it, and the sex just ends up spicing it up and taking it to the next level. Since this was such a short “book”, it was mostly about the sex, and so it just felt lacking for me.
It does look like a promising start for a full book, I’m guessing once you put all of the novellas together it will have a bit more substance. I might give them a try.
For those who just like to skip the story and focus on the sex, you won’t be disappointed with this one 😉
As a book, I would give it 2 stars, as I wasn’t entirely a fan of the writing either. But I’m going to up it 1 star for the potential of the complete set of novellas, and for the incredibly sexy sex scene 😛
In this book, Gwen is in a loving relationship with Gavin. When he proposes, Gwen quickly freaks out as she is only able to think of all the sex she will miss out on in a monogamous marriage (even though, she has wonderful sex with Gavin). Exasperated by her, Gavin tells her that they are taking a 8 month break. If at the end of that period, they still want to be together, they will go ahead with a wedding. But he doesn't guarantee it. I was hoping for a relatable book. Gwen seemed too selfish for me to like. Sure, there were plenty of jokes, although some were very cheap ones. I also didn't like the best friends name Clitina (a supposed version of Christina). It seemed, this choice was only made so Gwen could repeatedly make fun of her nickname Clit. I received a copy from Booksirens, and decided to leave a honest review.
A review of mixed feelings. Not sure wat to thing.
I suppose it could be interesting, but it also clearly wasn't intended for me. The List Writer's Lust is the first episode in Gwen's story. She is an author of internet listacles and apparently quite good at her job. She has a seemingly perfect life, Good job, loving boyfriend and is financially wel off. When the big question of marriage comes up however, she feels restless and would rather go on a string of seascapes... and this is what she does.
In general this is a competently written short story, but it will likely not be to everyone's liking. Gwen is not introduced as likability and her actions and motivations can be read quite selfishly. From there is was an uphill battle to like the MC and root for her in her actions.
After this rather awkward introduction the story takes a turn for the better and gets to the "Good Parts". And yes these were quite entertaining and interesting to boot. If the series continues in this manner than things are looking quite good.
In summary: I never quite warmed to the main character, but the erotic scenes were interesting.

I don’t get the concept of the book... yet- is it romance, BDSM, erotica - I must have missed the point at some point because the first part just seem bleh
I’m not going to be putting a star rating to this cause I’m not even certain how I felt about it (unfortunately BookSiren forces me to)
Episode 2 came out 1st of July so if you’re going to read maybe read them together at once and you might find it more enjoyable than I did - waiting to see what this episode is going to be about
I do not really know how I could start this review. I didn't find anything attractive inside this book, maybe it is due to it is just the first episode, maybe this is not the genre I am confortable, I do not know. But I missed a hard storyline that justifies the facts and scenes of the book.
I am still wondering which is the relation between the first part (almost a couple argument) with the second, and main, one.
A good point: the writer has good descriptive skills and made me feel like I was in the scenes.

Wow, there are so many thoughts going through my head. I love the wit and humor of the story, but find Gwen hard to swallow. I didn't really understanding the whole point of this journey that Gwen is on. Gwen is a list writer and I guess I was thinking that the story would follow the list of the sexual things she wanted to do before made a commitment to Gavin. But we are not made privy to all the items on her list in this book. The story just ends abruptly and didn't really leaving me wanting to read the rest of Gwen's adventures and if Gavin will take her back. I guess I wanted more from the first story. If you want short quick porn to read then this story has got that covered!
This is an impressive short read. It's well edited, well proofed, and well written.
It's also quite hot, worthy of it's erotica classification. If you liked Elevator Girl, you'll love The List Writer's Lust. The characterizations are outstanding.
The humor is very well integrated into this passionate story and I'm going to scarf down episode two as soon as I complete submitting this review. Hopefully, so long as the author can approach the quality of episode one in future episodes and the price point is unchanged, I'm in line for dozens of future episodes.

Violette Salinger is definitely an author to keep your eyes on!!! Her debut is one that I will not forget and left me craving more!!!
The List Writer's Lust is a fun, sexy read that has me begging for more!!! I can't wait for Vol. 2 of this quick serial!! Gwen is my shero and I can't wait to find out what adventures she gets herself into next!!! This book also had me laughing out loud as I read it.
I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a quick read that is not only hot, but entertaining as well!! Well done Violette!!!
To be in a relationship with the same person and trying to keep your sex life hot is very difficult. We all have fantasies and dreams. Do we give up our fantasies for great sex life? How understanding would your partner be if you wanted to spice things up? I admit it was pretty damn risky to give up Gavin to explore her kinks. I'm not sure what Gwen expects to find being with other people. I hope she finds what she's looking for.I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
There are a few things I don't like in erotica. Among them are submissive relationships and sex with an employer or medical professional while you are their patient.
Two of these came up in this story. So, not my thing.
The story is written well-enough, so if these things are your kink, and you don't mind erotica that seems to be more male oriented than female oriented, you'll probably like this book better than I did.

I think I might have liked this spicy slice of life for a lunchtime read, but I simply could not connect with Gwen, the main character. Rather than finding her adventurous and daring in her quest to soothe her restlessness, I instead found her to be selfish and shallow.
The author made an honest attempt to explain Gwen's struggle based on events in her past, so maybe developing a better connection with that past might enable the reader to understand Gwen's situation and be more sympathetic to her, as well as enabling the reader to enjoy Gwen's escapades.
Definitely suspend disbelief for this one! After her boyfriend of 7 years proposes, the main character sets out on a sexual quest to decide if she's ready to settle down. The premise is unbelievable and the lead isn't particularly likable. I found myself relating more to the boyfriend Greg and frankly I'm not rooting for them to get back together in the end. I doubt I'll read the continuation to see if they finally do.
That said, I'm sure this is perfect for someone looking for a raunchy read with minimal plot.

I can understand someone wanting to explore life, live it their own way, and discover new horizons. I am all for that and support that. But... I did not agree with the way the protagonist did it. She is not my idea of a fierce, fearless female. In fact, she reminds me of the Alpha Douches I often bash in reviews.
I recognized myself in a small part of this book. I think she should have gone about it a different way, but hey... to each its own, right?
My wife doesn’t usually share her sexy reads with me but she insisted I read this. I was shocked at how great it is. The writing is exceptional - really! The sex scenes are different and exciting- really! And I laughed out loud at least ten times. I don’t normally write book reviews but I was so happily surprised by this that I wanted to share. This author is sensational.
I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect when reading this book as I had never read anything by this author before. This book is hot, it’s steam from start to finish. There is a plot to go along with all that steam and it’s an interesting plot. This book is very well written and explicit. It’s a great way to spend an hour! I went in thinking, “Ok, I liked 50 Shades, I’m sure this won’t be any different raunch-wise.” This book had me blushing! Not that that was a bad thing, but it was definitely unexpected as many things do not make me blush. I am definitely curious as to what happens with Gwen and Gavin at the end of the eight week!

Pleasant! Gwen, 40, has been in relationship with Gavin for seven years. After all these years of love, he decided to ask her to marry him. She wants to but she wants a little "spice" in their bedroom. No longer wanting to share her (because yes they have already had hot parties with other people), he gives her 8 weeks to f*** whoever she wants. In this episode, she starts with her .... gyno! Incredible haha.
In reading the synopsis I knew book could go one of two ways, and the way it went, whew!! (Fanning myself) It was refreshing reading some hot unapologetic fantasy material. If you are looking for something that revs the engines below the waist, I strongly recommend this book. Also, I will be smirking at all my yearly visits from now on.
My rating of 4 stars means I'm glad I read it.
I received a free copy of this book and am giving my review voluntarily.
I picked a book based on shortness and missed the tags that said it was erotica so the book was a bit racier than I expected. It was, however, well written and quite interesting. My understanding is that this is the first installment of a serial and I look forward to seeing future chapters as I am curious about the outcome of the heroine's experiment. I'm especially interested whether her fiance takes her back. I hope so!
Short read with a lot of heat— makes you crave more! It was a short story that you will only hope continues.
Middle age woman leaves her long time boyfriend for a life of sexual adventure. Looking forward to the next episodes. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
More graphic than I anticipated. Didn’t like that the fling was with an ob/gyn or the hashtagging throughout the story. Loved the witty and humorous banter between the main character and her boyfriend.
