Four stars

The Open Road is something completely different by Quinn Loftis and she has co written this story with her husband, it’s a second chance love story for Samantha and Jason. Quinn has a great talent for writing multiple points of view and although the majority of this story is told from Samantha’s view we do get glimpses into many of the other characters minds as the story unfolds. I’m a huge fan of this author and love her fantasy stories, I didn’t enjoy this as much as those but it’s s

The Open Road is Full of Twists and Turns

Quinn Loftis is one of the most gifted young adult paranormal romance novelists of our time. Joined by her husband Bo Loftis, these two writers take the readers on a contemporary journey using Walt Whitman's poem, interesting characters and tough challenges to find love. No supernatural being could face the tragedies found in The Open Road. Ordinary men and women, some flawed others simply different bring their strengths and weaknesses to everyday life. S

This book was so different than what I'm used to reading from Quinn, but I really loved reading it. The whole story line of how Jason and Samantha fall in love is unlike any usual love story and really shows how technology can bring people together; literally. Both characters are going through so much, and somehow, someway they find each other as they try to overcome their hardships. So many can possibly relate to either one of these characters struggles, and it is a book that will at times, mak

Extremely Emotional, read with tissues.

Not very often do you find a book that makes you evaluate your life and the reasons you live it. This book will make you cry, and I mean cry a lot. If you don't cry, I might ask you how is your life then.

You cannot help but fall in love with Jason and Samantha and the things that have happened in their life. You want to be the one to hug and hold Jason's hand when he thinks about things he should not be thinking.

You find yourself living for the pages that

The Open Road by Quinn and Bo Loftis

Afoot and light-hearted, I take to the open road.........

What happens when your world falls apart and will never be the same again. One moment love and laughter fills your heart and the next it’s tragically taken away. What’s the point of life without love and laughter. Welcome to Jason’s heartbreaking world. In memory of his lost loves, Jason travels across North America, a dream he once shared with his late wife. Samantha believes she too, has lost the love

I have loved and reread Quinn’s books for years now. I’ve laughed and cried (sometimes simultaneously). And just when I think she can’t surprise me anymore, her and her husband come out with The Open Road.

To be honest, I was a little skeptical to try out a romance without any aspects of fantasy but this book really surprised me. Because it’s not just a love story- it’s about loss, mourning, abusive relationships, friendship, adventures, life choices, and so much more. There’s something for every

This was a different kind of story than what I'm used to reading from Quinn but it was still amazingly written. I have enjoyed the grey wolf and gypsy healers series' so much. as well as other series she has written and with the stand alone. Call me crazy I couldn't pass up the chance to read her latest stand alone. Even though I prefer her gws and ghs series ( by far my favorite books ever by anyone) I still enjoyed this book. As usual I laughed, I cried and got mad. She has a way to bri

I really enjoyed The Open Road! There was just something so honest and refreshing about it, and I know the story will stay with me for a long time. I liked that it included serious elements, yet there was humor as well. Tran, in particular, had me chuckling. I enjoyed the banter he shared with Samantha!
My heart really went out to Jason and Sam and I just wanted them to find some peace and healing. It was a pleasure to go on this) journey with them. It was almost bittersweet to have the story end

Sweet and Sad

Two broken people, with broken hearts and haunting pasts. Both trying in their own way to recover. This book was filled with humor, sadness, humor and joy. Be prepared to read it with a tissue in hand.

Review by Jen Skewes

When I read the blurb for this book I knew it was something that I had to read. I have only rad one book by this author before, but I loved the one that I did read. I wanted to love this book so much but unfortunately I don’t think it was for me.

Jason has just recently lost everything, his wife and two girls. So to help keep their memory alive and pay tribute to them he sets out on the open road and documents his journey along the way, for all of America to see.

Samantha has
