This Ain’t love is a romantic comedy set in the college years. There is a mix up in the accommodation office and Blake ends up being roomed with 5 guys. After she accepts her fate they turn out to be just what she needs. Her best friend, Ria wasn’t as lucky even though she was housed with girls.

Cameron is Blake’s type of guy. He’s pretty and overconfident. She knows she needs to stay away, but it’s hard when he’s her roommate. The pair have good chemistry and they click well, but they are young. Cam isn’t ready to settle down. Blake doesn’t want to have a crush on him.

The story is light-hearted and a comedy through and through. All the characters have fun personalities and it has a feel-good college theme. I felt it was realistic to the college setting.

When I read the first chapter I was a little unsure about this book, but Cameron won me over right from the start of chapters two. This book is full of laughs. It’s a cute story and the couple are perfect for each other. Blake is the perfect mix of tomboy and girly girl. She has a terrible dating history and is disastrous at cooking.

4.5 stars out of 5. It’s fun, realistic and comedic.

First of all (and I am sorry if you consider this a spoiler), I don't understand how the heroine accepted to have sex with Cam without a condom when a couple of weeks ago she had a talk with his one-night-stand. I would certainly request an STD checkup before any of that. The story could have been great if it wasn't for Cameron and his women. The one-night stand I mentioned above was the first nail in the coffin. The second girl he wanted to spend 7 minutes in heaven with was the second nail in the coffin (and it's not clear whether he slept with her or not). At the time, he had a thing with Blake going on, so it was much worse than girl #1. The third nail came when he got all jealous of Blake been around other men and two chapters later chasing another woman. Cameron is not the hero of the story and certainly not book boyfriend material. The rest of the roommates where much better choices.

I liked the secondary characters and I want to read their stories. If it wasn't for Cameron and his conquests I would have given 5 stars to the book. I hope that the next male will be worthy of been called hero.

I love a good rom-com, and This Ain’t Love had me believing such was what I would receive. Unfortunately, the humour didn’t work for me with this one. I’m sure there will be many out there who will find this one amusing, but I found the attempts at entertainment felt forced. There were a couple of moments where a small smile appeared on my face, but I never had the belly laughs I expected.

Although this one did not offer me the humour I had hoped for, it was a fun little read. It was addictive, and I was more than willing to power through. Despite being a short read, there is plenty packed into this one. Not only do we have plenty between the two main characters, but we get plenty of insight into the characters likely to get their own books later in the Harry Dukes series.

In fact, the insight we were given into many of the characters has left me super interested in seeing how their stories play out. There are certain characters in particular I am eager for more of, and I’ll certainly be giving their stories a read.

Although This Ain’t Love wasn’t quite what I’d expected, it made for an enjoyable quick read.

Blake is all excited to start fresh and make the most of her first year in college. But she gets a pretty big surprise when she finds out that a "mix up" due to her name has her moving into a house with 4 guys. A tomboy to the bone, Blake likes being one of the guys - not actually living with them.

Cameron is thrilled when he finds out his newest roommate is a gorgeous girl, even if she scares him a bit. A typical college guy, all he's thinking about is how she'd be the perfect casual hookup. You know, they share a house so it's easy access and the best idea ever, right?

I didn't love this book as much as I wanted to, however, I couldn't put it down. The story was addicting, and I needed to see what would happen with these characters. The drama level was a way too high and drawn out, and I think the storyline had a lot of potential but not enough follow through. That being said, I am interested to read about all the other roommates!

This Ain't Love has a soft-hearted, comedy angst feel with college humor, banter, and shenanigans.
Cameron is the typical college guy with two heads competing for attention.
Blake is on a mission to avoid Cameron, but that continues to be a problem since they become roommates. Blake not only has to deal with Cameron, but her four other hunky roommates who are equally tempting and so much more...
A fabulously, fun read with a mix of humor, steamy sarcasm, and all that goes with college life.

Cute, funny and sexy read.

I really enjoyed this. It was my first book by this author and I am excited for more. I love the characters, Blake and Cam are wonderful together and Blake and her best friend Ria are hilarious. I have’t laughed so much with a book in a while. They seriously cracked me up.

This Ain’t Love is a sweet, funny and sexy read. I’ve invested myself into all the characters Harry Dukes College and can’t wait to see where the author takes us next. Bring on the crazy!!

This Ain't Love is the first book in the Harry Dukes series, and we start off with Blake being told SHE is living with five different fellas! She's none too happy about this but manages to make her niche. She wants to avoid Cameron because he is everything she falls for, and she just hasn't got the time for that! Of course, things don't go according to plan, which is what made this book such a delight to read.

One part deserves a mention all of its own - and that is when the five men are afraid to go into the living room due to female 'personal' reasons 😉 Every woman who reads this book will empathise with how both Blake and Ria are feeling. And if any men read it, I am 100% sure they will be able to relate to our men. I read through this part laughing out loud, and loving every moment.

This is a light-hearted book, with a story that moves at a fair pace. The world-building is spot on, with the college being completely believable. The characters are well-rounded out, and although we concentrate on Blake and Cameron in this one, the others certainly make their mark.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and I can't wait to continue the series. Absolutely recommended by me.

Five swoony stars! This college romance is fantabulous...

AHHHH . . . I just love a good college romance! And This Ain’t Love by AJ Love exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I read the synopsis I was left intrigued and excited and let me tell you that this was an irresistible read that had me glue to my kindle. AJ Love is a new author to me and it won’t be the last time I’m reading her books because her writing is captivating, hilarious and freaking sexy and her characters are unforgettable. The plot is refreshing and pretty cool, well developed and charming. “Una historia que ruge como un tigre pero ronronea como un gatito con una mezcla embriagadora de gracioso y dulce que es intoxicante.”

In my opinion this book is a mix of sweetness, fun, scorching hot attraction, swoon and everything bookish. There are some touches of enemies-to-lovers romance that will blow your mind. This Ain’t Love is spicy and hot as Mexican food. Let this book wrap you like a burrito and enjoy the sexy ride. I can’t imagine a greater pleasure than this.

Blake and Cameron's romance is tempting, consuming and hot as hell. They are explosive and just perfect for each other. I enjoyed the sparks those create when they are together. They being together is as dangerous as leaving gasoline near of fire. The hate love game going between them is something delicious and the chemistry is out the charts. I loved the interaction and sweet surrender that hugged them.

Living with too much testosterone is really impressive and tough. Blake is just the kind of girl who is the less girlish and more of a tomboyish. Raised by her father made her hard and she learnt to deal with extreme dose of testosterone. So this help her going through the process of living with five guys. What she never expected was to be attracted to one of them. That could be a disaster with capital letters. A delicious temptation that could consumed her to ashes.

Cameron is cheeky, arrogant as a demigod, and he also has the looks of it. He is the kind of boy who has girls eating out on the palm of his hand. Playing with Blake will be his new hobby. It would be a ridiculous battle of wills. He uses any excuse to irritate her. His presence just frustrate her as she does him. Cameron will be everything she hates, everything she stays away from. He will be everything she shouldn't desire because she can't risk her heart, however he is kind of guy she want.

After reading this book I'm highly intrigued to read the following books in this series. I bet they would be intense and addictive. I really recommend you to read this book. It is a must read any reader shouldn't miss!

Cameron and Blake were on a rollercoaster of denial, denial, and denial!

"We have entered into some ridiculous battle of wills where he tries to get me to touch his dick, and I try to stop myself from sitting on it."

Blake is like a modern-day Calamity Jane – she’s a tomboy in a body that’s ALL WOMAN! She’s not happy that she’s left a houseful of men behind to start at college and found that…yep, she’s been mistakenly put to live with another houseful of men! One of them in particular is just her type but she can’t stand him. Although her mind doesn’t want him, her body is saying otherwise.

"She wants me. But she doesn't want to want me. Which just means when I finally get her, it's going to be incredible."

Cameron is like some kind of man-child. He only lives 20 minutes away from home but loves living on campus so he can enjoy as many women as possible. He finds his new roomie, Blake, wholly fascinating, fiery and a lot scary! Unfortunately, he just can’t leave her alone. When boundaries are crossed, feelings get muddled, and he realises that no matter how much his body tells him he only wants sex from her, his heart is telling him otherwise.

"I want the girl I'm falling for; painfully, unwillingly, reluctantly."

I feel completely exhausted from reading this book because it was non-stop craziness and shenanigans. Blake is stubborn, badass, and a complete lunatic! Throw in her equally loony bestie, Ria, and it just feels like I entered Cuckoo Land. And, weirdly, I expected them to get on my nerves but I really enjoyed the whole book – it made me laugh out loud in places. Blake is such a ballbuster! LOL. I loved her blistering tongue, her hard edges and her soft centre. Cameron is actually a decent guy – his mama raised him to be a gentleman, after all – even though he tries hard to act like a clueless idiot! LOL

The two of them just didn’t want to acknowledge the obvious and it was a funny ride all the way to the end of the story, with some great cameo characters and a promise of more shenanigans to come!

This is the first book by AJ Love that I’ve read, and it won’t be the last.
This is a romantic comedy set in and around college.
Blakes decision to go for accommodation provided by the college starts off as a bit of a disaster, when the accommodation office assigns her accommodation with five guys. That's right Blake is a female! The accommodation office didn't realise this and placed her with Five Guys.
After realization she's stuck there, she tries to make the best of a bad situation. Blake soon realises that one of her roommates is her usual type of guy, she also knows that she can't go there. If she did and it went wrong life would become awkward, very awkward.
This Ain't Love is an ingenious mix of fun, realism, attraction, temptation and a whole heap of denial! The book is packed with laugh out loud moments, that had me giggling to myself and had other people giving me odd stares in the canteen at work!
The characters are easy to relate to and very realistic, they interact well together and they each bring their own dynamic to the overall story. Blake and Cameron’s chemistry is palpable, they seem to rub each other the wrong way but at the same time they compliment each other’s personalities too.
The story sucked me in quickly and held me there right alongside Blake and Cameron until the very end. I was made to feel every bit a part of their story. I'm glad I've had the chance to meet Blake and Cameron. I'm intrigued to see just what AJ has in store for them next.
This Ain't Love is a great way to start this series. I'm looking forward to the next instalment.
If you're looking for a funny, hot, sweet romantic comedy then I highly recommend This Ain't Love.

Some charm, a few laughs and lots of dirty talking! This was whiplash deluxe with the back and forth these characters put me through...or maybe threw, as in threw my book at the craziness. These crazy b$tches drove me crazy. Blake and her bestie, Ria are whacked characters with their lack of maternal love and being raised by a pack of wolves/men. Lots of layers to Blake and some were too much for me. Mean talking drama queen and crazy antics. For a hot gal she didn’t have a lot of confidence. I loved the guys though. Pretty boy Cam. He’s the kind you just want to lick all over. Yum! But I really like bad boys so I’m looking forward to Hunter’s story. I know college guys can be clueless sometimes but I didn’t get their seemly total lack of insight into the opposite sex. They did grow up with females. This is an interesting writing style with some repetition which had me skimming toward the end. Also, some of the words we’re not spelled in US English even though the setting is the US South. Plus the talking style was not really southern and some phrasing would not be said by a southerner. Other than lots of cussing and sex talk it was fairly clean. I’m torn on this one but will give the next one a read especially since it’s Hunter! I just hope there’s some clean up and not so may whatevers, uhs and huhs. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC. 3.5 stars

It’s absolutely the bacon
This book was so funny! Blake has inadvertently been placed in an all-boy share house for her college accommodation, due to a name misunderstanding. Her best friend Ria also got a share house, but hers is all-girls. Blake’s housemates are Cameron, Ty, Luke, Adam and Hunter… at first, I thought… wow, reverse harem ;) But no, it’s just a comedy of errors!
She’s friends with them all, but has a casual thing with Cam. Both of them develop stronger feelings, but are too stubborn to admit them to each other. They rile each other up, in both the worst and best way! As well as laughing a LOT, I was frustrated with both of them!
This love/hate rom-com was chocka-block FULL of hilarious back-and-forth banter, sarcasm, angst, mood swings, teasing and flirting. The characters were all so much fun, and kept me really invested in their story. The only thing I didn’t like was how abruptly it ended. I wasn’t ready to farewell these characters yet. So I’m REALLY hoping they’re revisited in the rest of this book series. I give this first-time read four and a quarter comedic stars.

OMG this book!!! AJ Love really delivered with this one. I have never read anything by AJ before and I am so happy that I picked this book up. I absolutely loved the characters in this book and the story line had me hooked. This was a wonderful introduction to a new to me author and definitely to a series that I will wanting all of.

Blake and Ria, two best friends since forever, are just starting college and things get complicated for Blake. Now these two are the types of people I would love to have in my life. They are crazy as hell, will have you on the floor laughing and are loyal through and through. Imagine Blake's surprise when she finds out that her roommates are 5 guys!! Things get more complicated when the attraction to Cameron is impossible to deny and when Cameron has a hard time dealing with what he is feeling as well.

I look forward to hopefully getting the other roommates stories as well. I couldn't put this book down just anticipating the craziness that Blake and Ria will get into. I need more of this awesome group!!!

He's everything I hate yet everything I want!
Book One in the Harry Dukes Series, a new RomCom by A.J. A.J. Love, I bow down to your mirth-filled genius... you had me rolling on the floor from page one till the final sentence! Blake is not your usual soft, sweet, 18 year old college girl...Oh Hell No! She's a tough-as-nails, foul-mouthed Tom boy who will shut you down with a simple murderous glare! She accidentally finds herself rooming with five guys and she sees RED. Having no other options, unfortunately, she tries to stomach the fact and move on... but it's hard to resist Cameron, the pretty-boy player of the bunch. Get to know this dramatic duo, fall in love with their awkward attraction, die of laughter with their hilarious antics! 5 Entertaining-To-The-Core Stars for "This Ain't Love"... where even morons of epic proportions deserve to be loved!

4 fun-filled stars

AJ Love is a new author to me, and now I’m wondering how I managed to not have read her books before. This Ain’t Love was so freaking funny, my ribs are aching from laughing so much. She knows how to write some great characters with fully fleshed personalities and some with a crazy sense of humor.
Blake and Ria are best friends, they’ve just started college and are having a blast. Blake, was placed in the guys’ dorm, thanks to her name causing a mix up. But, she’s taking it in her stride and owning it. Cameron, is one of the five roommates she shares her dorm with, and he makes it all the more interesting.
Jocks, players, even some nerds make up this whacky combination of guys that Blake has to learn to live with. I loved how she handled this, her witty comebacks and inner dialogues were so hilarious it was hard to stop laughing.
This is the first in a new series and I can’t wait to read more.

This is a laugh-out-loud college-age romance.

A not-so-girly girl - with the name to match - suddenly finds herself rooming with five guys after a clerical error. With nothing to do but tough it out, Blake prepares herself for the worst year ever. In addition, she has developed a crush, but she couldn't have picked a worse candidate.

Cameron is attracted to his new, female roommate. There are so many good reasons why them being together is a bad idea, but the more he riles Blake up, the more he wants to get to know her. With hormones, misunderstandings and crazy best friends in the mix, nothing - absolutely nothing - goes according to plan.

I really enjoyed this book. The author had me hooked, trying to figure out what else could possibly happen next with Cameron & Blake. The banter/dialogue was witty, fun & awesomely sarcastic! I can't wait for the other stories in the series.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book.

This is one of those college set rom coms that have zany characters who speak without filters, act crazy and think about sex a lot. Don't expect steamy sex scenes...it's closer to being a sweet romance but with a lot of swearing and drinking alongside the kissing and cuddling.

what I liked:
- Blake & Cam are an oddball pairing
- inner dialogue is hilarious
- secondary characters are interesting
- felt like a college atmosphere

what I didn't like:
-typos
-some of Blake's inner thoughts ramble too much
-the sex scene?! I haven't seen anyone else mention this, but when they were about to have sex the scene jumps to "after" conversations right away. There was no double space, paragraph break or asterisk to indicate that any time had passed. It was weird. Perhaps a formatting into ebook issue?

Anyway, I'm glad AJ Love decided to try this genre. I enjoy her serious books too, but it's nice to see she can switch gears and offer variety to readers.

😂in love with this gang 😂

What a fabulously fun and entertaining way to start a series!
"Hey. God! I quit girl. Can I get a p@#is now?"
Blake is the perfect tomboy - her character kept me in stitches
Blake and her bestie Ria have headed off to college - but a bit of miscommunication has landed Blake back in the middle of testosterone land
Cameron - the representative for the egotistical "yes, I am sexy" young adult just can't help riling up his newest roommate not to mention keeping his eyes (and his hands) to himself
Antics and mishaps abound when the two worlds collide giving college coed cohabitation a whole new meaning
Loved the vast array of characters -
It was the breakfast club without the outside drama
Kept me in stitches - if you are looking for a lighthearted college romance with all the bells and whistles
Do not pass this one up with

Blake and Cameron will have you in sassy stitches as they navigate the perils of not shatting where you eat! Blake finds herself in every woman Pornhub bookmark, but it actually being more like a sausage heavy Waltons. Five male roommates sounds exactly like what it would be… a lot of awkward moments with her at the center. It’s even more awkward due to the fact that she can’t stop her teenage dream crush on Cameron. She knows he’s not the ideal candidate for boyfriend material and she should just save herself the big reveal later on. Cameron is a cocky college boy and he sees something that he wants and he’s going to get it. And that something is Blake. She is doing everything it seems to keep him at arm's length, but he sure that he can charm her to see things his way. But he may be in for more than he bargained.

There is so much I loved about this book!!

This was the first book I have read by AJ Love and it definitely won’t be the last.
Blake and Cam were amazing, you could feel their chemistry and the way they played off each other while at the same time trying to pretend they didn’t affect one another.
Cam was your typical Jock that was every bit gorgeous and every girl wanted to date him.
Blake was a blonde bombshell that guys wanted for themselves.
I adored Blake, she was sassy and gave as good as she took when it came to her housemates... which were all male and all gorgeous.
Blake was instantly attracted to Cam and the feelings were mutual but they were both too stubborn to admit their feelings. Their journey was hilarious and I loved it from the start to the end, and I have to say I was sad when it ended.
Fantastic read! 5stars

She has done again. I really can’t with this woman. With ever single book she is writing I swear she just gets better and better. Every. Single. Time. Every part of this book is a comedy but also have ALL THE FEELS. This book takes you on a ride and just doesn’t let you get off until you finish it. And what a ride it is.

Blake is one of my favourite persons in the world. Can I be her when I grow up? Or at least be as cool as her?

Can and Blake are just perfect. And not because she is the pretty one. Because he is. And he knows it. And knows how to use it. And tries it on Blake every possible way. But Blake is not giving in. But her thoughts? Hilarious.

Amazing. Go. And. Read it. Now.

Thank me later.

5 stars.

I haven't laughed this hard reading a rom-com in quite some time. From the very first page, I knew I was reading something special.
AJ Love is a new to me author. I loved every word in this story.
Blake is one of the best heroines I have ever read. The way she reacted, spoke and even her inner dialogue was just so brilliantly written and just plain hilarious I basically had sore ribs from laughing so much. Cameron balanced her out so well. He was ridiculous at times too, but compared to Blake he was quite tame.
As this is obviously the start of a new series, if the subsequent books are even only a tenth as fabulous as this book, I know that I can't wait to read them.

Amazing ( may contain slight spoilers)

An amazing book from a new to me author.
I was given the pleasure of reading this as an ARC and decided to buy it just so I could get any new up dates for it.
You get sucked by Blake and Cam and the other guys in the house and you just wanna know more. Do playboy Cam and raised by men Blake manage to be come a couple, or are they both destined to destroy themselves because they can't admit to loving each other.
I wanna know what happens when Cam meet Blake's family?? And what happens after Christmas break.......
Does it all work out for Adam and his hidden complicated love
Why is Hunter so dark and troublesome?
Does Ty find his HEA??
and what about Luke and Ria? Do they stay together or is that a catastrophe waiting to happen??

I absolutely loved this book. From the first page I was hooked and laughing along with the characters. Blake is a sassy college girl ready to start her first year in college and when she arrives to find out where her dorm is she is absolutely shocked with a mix up that has been made. ( I won't give it way )

I love how blake isn't like a normal girl who thinks all guys should drop to there knees and beg her for attention. I also love how her and Cameron are slow to realise that they should be together and the way they interact with each other like Blake is one of the guys, how they can have a laugh and a joke.

Cameron and blake has some amazing one liners that will have you laughing out loud to.

I loved this, such a fun read. Blake is a sarcastic tomboy. She’s accidentally housed with 5 guys and develops a crush on one of them. Cam is the typical college guy and enjoys the company of women, there’s a good gentleman lurking beneath the surface. She tries to deny any feelings while he enjoys getting her riled up, even if he is scared of her. There’s strong chemistry between the two of them. Blake and her best friend, Ria, are complete loons - which I actually enjoyed more than I thought I would. At the beginning of the book, I thought they’d get old fast but I was thoroughly amused by them. I am looking forward to more from the other roommates.

A simple mistake has Blake living with five guys at college, which she blames her dad on as he always wanted a boy so picked a unisex name for her. Meeting the boys, she knows that Cameron is exactly her type, but a player so needs to stay away from him.
At the party when Cameron sees Blake catch his eye before kissing the guy in front of her, he knows two can play at that game, although the next morning he wonders if he has met his match in games, and he knows she wants him even though she doesn’t want to, so the games begin.
The problem is they both play games, but then they finally cross that line and they both deny that their feelings are involved

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A fun and flirty little read that I really enjoyed.

My first book by A J Love bad probably won’t be my last.

Great characters with well developed personalities and traits. Fabulous madly crazy besties Ria and Blake are owning their college freshman year but I loved the mx up with the housing, placing Blake smack-dab in the centre of a house full of hot jocks, nerds and smooth talkers. Hilarious fun.

Definitely going to read more from this author.

I sincerely enjoyed this story. Set in the college life, I loved seeing things through Blake's eyes. I loved her perfect mix of girly and tomboy. I loved watching her attempts at not falling for Cameron. Cameron is all...man. But Cameron's in college and he doesn't want to be tied down to one woman. I love watching these two fight the attraction they have.

This book is hilarious. All the characters are well developed and fun. I loved every second of this book and I think you will as well.

I adored Blake and Cameron in This Ain’t Love. They were such relatable characters, as were the secondary characters. The book starts out with it being Blake’s first year in college, and due to her name, there is a mix up with her housing. There is chemistry right away between these two, but they don’t seem to want to admit it to anyone including themselves. The journey that these two go on is hot, funny, and there were some tears a few times too.
I definitely recommend This Ain’t Love to anyone who loves a great college romance read! 4 stars!
