Statistical reasoning without at least some formulas is often difficult to follow. But there are lots of interesting ideas in this book for critically examining data, compared to torturing them to yield to preconceived ideas.

This is an important book to read to give one a feel for the proper use of statistics and scientific studies. We are bombarded with stats and studies and it is hard to tell the difference between authentic and dubious results.
