Meet two men who need each other’s help but don’t realize it until it’s almost too late.

Noah is gay and terrified someone might find out. So much so that when he was blackmailed with pictures of himself with another man, instead of coming clean, he left his SEAL team without a word.

The other man is openly gay Mason, a former Marine and now part of the FBI’s Joint Terrorist

I struggled for a lot of this book with the pacing and the angsting from Noah as he continually denied his sexuality while hooking up with Mason.

The suspense element also seemed to take forever to get started and then (view spoiler)

But, having said that, once these two got themselves in gear and started having proper feelings, the pacing picked up dramatically and there was a g

A Joyfully Jay review.

3.5 stars

I’m a sucker for books about ex-military men. They’re almost always big and buff, but also tortured in some way, and I love to watch them find their way to love and happiness. In His Sights certainly fit that bill…especially in the tortured department. Between Noah and Mason, I felt an actual weight on my chest. However, that weight was occasionally tough on me and I had a difficult time getting through the book.

I found myself feeling a disconnect with both men. I

This is one of those books that when I set down to read it, I got so caught up in everything going on that I just could not put the book down. It has so many twists to it. There is always so many unanswered questions that as the reader you have no clue what way LA Bryce was going to twist things around next. This is definitely one of those books that I was constantly rooting for the two main men hoping they would figure their crap out and end up together but I honestly was not sure if they would ...more

Noah and Mason meet in an airport bar. Mason is an FBI agent. Noah, an ex SEAL, does freelance security work. One night Mason breaks up a fight between a handsome guy and several men who apparently want to beat him up. When Mason realizes he has seen the man before he wonders why Noah didn’t acknowledge him.

Circumstances have them spending the night together. Mason is very interested in him but Noah isn’t gay. At least that’s what he’s tried to convince himself. Their relationship (or non relati

Don't you just love the names Noah and Mason??

These two made me so happy. I absolutely loved this book. It had just enough of an intrigue that kept me glued to my Kindle and don't even get me started on the chemistry!? Smoking hot!! But despite the chemistry It was painful to read how much Noah struggled with his feeling for Mason in the first half of the book. For a second I thought they wouldn't find the reason to stay together and thank God they did otherwise my Kindle would be flying across

I enjoyed this story so much, there was so much feeling and confusion and secrets that made for one exciting mystery. The romance was so heartbreaking in spots and made me wanna smack both characters and tell them to fricking talk it out!

Noah was such a conflicted character, running from his team and keeping everything locked up inside, that it hurt me reading about it. He keeps so much from Mason even after they meet up again that I just wanted to shake him and say, “Trust him!” But what can yo

Nope. This one did not work for me. I hated the wishy washy back and forth from both Noah and Mason. It got so annoying that I found myself not caring if they ever got through their issues and got together. And when they finally did I wasn’t happy for them, I didn’t really care either way.

Great Suspense and Really HOT!

This is the first book I've read b LA Bryce and I think it might be her first published novel. I really enjoyed this story and it would have been a 5-star review for me except for a few things that I'll mention later.

First off, the suspense and mystery in this story was really good and kept me glued to my e-reader. I felt the connection between the characters and got emotionally involved with their struggles. It was an angsty story but not too angsty, in my opinion.
3.5 angst-ridden stars rounded up because of Mason's heart

The demons in our minds come in many different guises. For Noah it's his true self and he fights relentlessly against it. When a moment of connection destroys everything he's ever worked for he's more convinced than ever to deny who he really is. For Mason it's his mantle of responsibility that bleeds into his grief and increases his drive at work to the point of obsession. His superiors don't see that drive as a good thing and are wary o

One of my favorite tropes is reading about military men and the alpha male-ness that they bring to a sexy romance story. When you have two military men (i.e., as is the case here) the sexiness is doubled. Noah is an ex-Navy SEAL and suffering for it. Leaving his team was the last thing he wanted to do, but what’s a closeted guy to do when he is being blackmailed? Mason is “once a Marine, always a Marine’, who is now an obsessed FBI agent determined to find the killers who murder

In and out of sight, but never out of mind

In LA Bryce’s ‘In His Sights,’ Mason’s pain bled right into me from the get-go and running into Noah set the stage for an incredible ride of two men battling demons too strong for one person to handle.

I absolutely loved these two men’s personalities and the challenges they faced - individually and together. I knew Noah would eventually make that breakthrough and stop battling his mind to follow his heart. At times, I worried it might be too late. I must

Noah is an ex-Navy SEAL who is trying to piece his life back together after he was forced to leave the military. Mason is an FBI agent and former Marine who is trying to piece together an unsolvable case. A chance encounter in an airport bar throws them together and changes both their lives forever.

LA Bryce’s debut novel is a thrilling romance with two dreamy heroes, plenty of steamy sex, and an intriguing mystery that never overpowers the main focus of the story, Noah and Mason’s burgeoning rel

This was more of an angsty book that I normally read. Mason, who is reeling from the death of his brother in law and trying to find his murderer, decided to take a break and leave town. But when he gets to the airport his flight is cancelled and he ends up breaking up a fight and meeting Noah, an ex-Navy SEAL from his past. He offers Noah a place to stay and although Noah isn't gay, or at least won't admit it, Noah freaks out when he realizes his attraction to the other man and runs. A year late ...more

The book has potential, but the writing has an unpolished feel. Too much telling, not enough showing. I am told that the main characters are a former Navy SEAL and a Marine, but characteristics I associate with former and active duty military don't seem to make an appearance. Even a few small hints would have made the military service more believable. Things like having perfectly polished leather boots, not shaving on weekends because being clean shaven was tiresome, and being able to fall aslee ...more

LA Bryce’s “In His Sights” is a fun and quick read. Her characters are engaging, and her story is intense. From the beginning, I was rooting for Noah and Mason to get each other. They were such a good fit. The story kept me on the edge of my seat wondering how they would resolve all their issues and find their happily-ever-after. Bryce did not disappoint. She wrapped up all the loose ends and gave me the ending I was hoping for. I can’t wait to read her next book, “The Forever Kind of Love!”

I like a good mystery/suspense, and this certainly hit the mark. It deals with new friendship, trust, romance, self growth, and, eventually, love and commitment.

I liked the pace of the story, the second half particularly was fast paced, with lots of surprises, which made for a quick and exciting read.

The characters were well written and were effectively developed. By the end of the book, I certainly believed in their relationship. The one thing that did bother me was the way in which Mason seeme

Great story full of angst and twists and turns

I enjoyed reading the story of Mason and Noah. There was angst, tension, twists, and plot turns. I applaud this writer on her debut novel. If you’re looking for likeable characters, who need to overcome obstacles to be together amidst a world of chaos, turmoil and conflict, then I would recommend you read, “In His Sights.”
