Brother's Keeper
Alex and Charlie were brothers born of blood and violence during the battle of Fallujah. Then they came home and became cops. Charlie couldn't let go the adrenaline rush of the battlefield and it showed on the street. Always looking for a fight, he went dark, crossing the line one too many times until he went so far even Alex couldn't bring him back.
That's what Alex thought anyway until a terse message lead him into a gunfight and a recording Charlie left him in case the worst happened. Present part of the story was really good
Ugh! I hate stories out of chronological order and instead of chapters numbers they should use years so if people who hate jumping from the present to the past can enjoy reading in chronological order.
I skipped a lot of the past because the present was to interesting and engaging, I really just didn’t care about the past by that point. I really hate stories out of order.
I gave this a 3 star because the writing, the plot, and the friendship between Charlie and Alex was solid and engaging. This is based off the present tense of the story which is the only parts I read. Had this story been told in order or provided a way you could read in the order you want to read it in, this could have been 5 stars from me.
I’m sorry, there is just something in my brain that clicks with this feeling of frustration when stories jump around too much. It’s the same with TV shows and movies, they are avoided if they jump back and forth through the present and past. :0(

Honey & Ants… WHOA
aside from the super inventive torture possibilities narrowly avoided in this book there were characters that I actually recognize. like Tyrell. what kind of life does it suggest I’ve lived when I can say that I’ve known more than a few of “him”? this is a very topical book, but the one thing I disagreed with was Mai’s opinion that there was no “market” for pregnant women. Mai, baby, you’ve got A LOT to learn!

a Must Read
This is an exciting, action packed and suspenseful read. The tale of two men at first adversaries then teammates and adversaries again. When one is in danger the other finds what he thought to be true was not and time is running out to save his friend.

Very well written
I read a lot if police/military type stories. This held my attention till the last page. I loved Charlie and Alex...true heroes and a true friendship. Can't wait to read your other books.

Thrilling book
This is a new author for me. The story is something different from my normal genre. I have to say I was surprised how enthralled I got in reading this book. It’s fast paced, has suspense, drama and action. Definitely recommend for those who like a suspense story.

This is the first book by John Stamp that I have read. Brother's Keeper is so full of action that I read the book in one day.
