Another book I found at the library searching for answers to questions in my head about brain cancer brain tumors and kris and treatments ect. This book I chose cause I do have many questions. Also I saw it was published in my old home town of Sudbury Ma. Tall Pine Drive where I once watered tropical plants at the building bi weekly in its hey day. little did I know Then I would be searching for answers to questions I never imagined i would want to know. a lot of good solid information in here and Thank You for the truth! I hope someday they find a better treatment and cure for brain tumors its so hard to live thru this expierence.
It was very informative. It was a book engineered towards a medical concern therefore there was a bunch of huge medical words that you can't escape but having the doctor's side and the patient's side together in the book helped me better understand brain tumours.
Essential and recommended! Rated four stars only because it could possibly use an updated third edition soon for treatments and technological developments. That said, if you know anyone with a brain tumor, I don't know of a better place to start than this book.
Here are some other useful resources if you or someone close to you is dealing with cancer:
NCCN's guidelines for patients Food Rules by Michael Pollan (extremely concise and easy to read!) The Moss Report's free podcast The Cancer Journey by Dr. Chadi Nabhan Keto for Cancer by Miriam Kalamian research of Thomas Seyfried, PhD (contact him for a free info packet) 2015 PBS documentary Cancer: The Emperor of All Maladies from 2015 (runtime 6 hours) Help Heal Yourself from Cancer by Dr. William Sears Natural Strategies for Cancer Patients by Dr. Russell Blaylock (though I would proceed with caution . . . these days you're probably better off using Ai prompts instead of relying on a human author)
Definitely talk with your care team about any decisions you're considering. Your oncology care team is your best resource. And I hope you experience peace and good luck during this painful ordeal. Good luck.
