The Bling Bling bird finds a shiny necklace, but her obsession with her appearance turns off her friends and attracts predators.

The Bling Bling Bird has an interesting point of view–how much bling is too much, and can it get you killed? Generally, suggesting that one should not be too ostentatious isn’t a bad thing. This book is a lovely short book. It’s well written and suitable for its target audience (I would say at least 5 years old). It took me about 10 minutes to read.

This is essentially a picture book with a small amount of text on each page. The pictures are divine and so, so sweet. Essentially, the story tells young readers the dangers of having too much of something isn’t healthy or good for you. In this particular case bling (jewellery).
