“Sometimes, wanting someone just isn’t enough.”

I don’t want to believe those words. Because I’ve never fallen for someone like Fin Callaghan. And I can’t imagine that this feeling isn’t enough.

To say my first interaction with Fin leaves much to be desired is an understatement. He infuriates me, barely speaks, and glares at me all the time. Not to mention he thinks I’m

What a sweet story!! First off let me just say how much I loved Carly! That girl is so dang funny. I was constantly laughing out loud from the wacky and crazy things that she would say. And it always cracked me up seeing what new nicknames she could come up with for Fin! So so funny.

The romance in this book was to die for! But in addition to that, what also makes this story so great is how the author incorporates important life lessons into it. It was a really refreshing thing to see and read an

For some reason I had a difficult time feeling connected to these characters. Maybe it was outside factors contributing, but I felt like there was too much happening. Carly was relentlessly happy, even appearing a bit manic to me. And Fin was, IMO, a bit of a judgmental jerk. Sure he was dealing with stuff, but aren't we all? I would say give it a chance and see if you identify with these characters. ...more

Jillian Liota is a newer to me author, this only being my second book of hers. The first one I read, Like You Mean It, was so good I HAD to have more. Her writing is so smooth and flawless. She has quickly climbed up the ranks as one of my new favourite authors. Even though I received both books as eARCs, I have to buy the hard copies!

Like You Want It had everything I love in a book – a strong female protagonist, a sexy brooding guy, strong friendship, family, forgiveness, steamy sexiness and wi

This was a story that didn’t know I needed. This story resonated with me deep down in my soul. I laughed, I cried, and I highlighted so many damn quotes. The characters we’re messy and flawed in very realistic ways, and it was such a joy to go on the journey with them as they grew through what they were going through.

Carly is one of those people you might find kind of annoying, but you also wish you could be her. Her optimism is like the sun, and she takes the time to really think about the whol

You will fall in love with Carly and Fin! This book made me feel all kinds of emotions and I love it! The openness about mental health, addiction, and loss and the benefits of going to therapy was fantastic!

Honestly, I don’t pick up romance novels often. There are times the romance is too farfetched that I can’t look past it. However, the romance was the perfect amount. I hope you find Fin and Carly as sexy as I did! 😍

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

The authenticity of Finn and Carly is off the charts! I felt like I was in the story with them from the first chapter and couldn’t put the book down. Jillian dives into themes of mental health and addiction with much needed openness. These characters had so much realness and raw chemistry, I didn’t want the book to end. Captivating, sexy, and raw, this book is a must read!!

This is not my first read or review by the lovely Author! I am extremely happy to have a very early ARC and couldn't wait to dive in.

I first have to say how much in love i am with the heroine Carly! I seriously want to be her when I grow up! So free, and knows who she is and is so comfortable in her own skin. She is who she is!! Carly is a woman who works at a coffee shop and part time yoga instructor at the local gym. She likes what she does and doesn't wan

Like You Want It is the new release of author Jillian Liota. A love story filled with friendship, forgiveness and self acceptance.

"I may not be perfect, but being me is good enough."

I really enjoyed all the characters in Like You Want It. Carly is probably the happiest character I have ever read about. She is a big ball of sunshine on a day to day basis. On the inside she is a little insecure and wishes she was enough for people, but she d

"But I guess that's just how things work in life. We find what's comfortable for us, and that ends up being all we know and want. Both for ourselves, and for others."

Like You Want It by Jillian Liota is a passionate fervent read with unique characters and back-stories. It is a story about finding your feet in the world, friendship, and love amidst the hard tracks life puts you up against. It is a book I greatly enjoyed and felt everyone should too!

Firstly, Fin is a STUD. Book boyfriend material in a broody-asshole-that's-also-lovable way.

And if you struggle to find heroines that aren't perfect and are quirky (yet still believable), here you go. Meet Carly. Better yet, she's incredibly kind without being your typical Mary Sue character. I HATE Mary Sue characters.

Their inital animosity was palpable, I was just as pissed as Carly was at their meet-cute. Then, similarly, their sexual tension jumped off the page too. Check and check. Few aut

So sweet!

I normally don’t go for the contemporary romance genre, unless I’m in the mood for a tooth ache - which, let’s face it, does happen. This novel inspires that kind of tooth ache, with the perfect blend of angst, romance, self realization and sap. It’s a good combination, and if your going to spend your time on the sticky, this over is worth it. I loved Carly, though I didn’t start that way. The girl is just so blasted happy... all.. the... time! I couldn’t relate. Until I could. She star

Such an amazing book!!!!

I can’t even begin to describe the level of love I have for this book. It was so incredibly everything! Emotional, thought provoking, funny and silly, serious and heartbreaking, steamy and just plain amazing. Carly was the perfect heroine. She was smart song funny and so happy I almost didn’t like her lol. But what I absolutely loved about her was that she was strong and independent and she knew her own mind and she made no apologies for who she is, but she also had some

I love a unique story with imperfect characters, stories with a message, with heart-swoony moments and laugh out loud scenes. These are my absolute fav books, and that is what I got when I read LYMI. First, the true star of this book, Carly, is this free spirited, perpetually optimistic, kinda lost, but mostly found, strong and vulnerable woman who is trying to fight against the wind of straight laced, methodical people who think they know the formula of success for everyone. She fights h

This book started me off with uncontrollable giggles, and the inner dialog for our Female lead only got more zany and hysterical from there! I really loved her character, and the banter between she and Finn were entertaining as all get out. Their attraction was undeniable, feelings palpable, and the push/pull between them absolutely maddening at times. A little drawn out, it all hit my heart in the end, and I couldn't be more pleased that I was given a copy to review!!

I absolutely loved this story! Carly and Fin, ugh they are both perfect. There’s no words to describe how much I love them.

Carly and Fin didn’t start off on the best terms. Carly was kept up most of the night due to the party going on in her new upstairs neighbor’s apartment so she does what any normal person would do. She plays music loudly at six am to wake up her new neighbor. Fin happens to show up at her door and complains about the loud music, only he isn’t her new neighbor, his sister is

4.5 STARS! Another incredible novel by the talented Jillian Liota!

I absolutely loved the heroine Carly and her spunky, optimistic, carefree ways! She was such a breath of fresh air for a romance read. But don't be fooled, under that whimsical outer shell was a very confused, insecure and vulnerable woman trying to find her footing in life. She was perfectly flawed in every way! I laughed out loud so many times during this book because of Carly's personality, her witty spats with Fin and her quir

4 Talking it out is tough stars!!
This book had way more depth than I was expecting that’s for sure, it talks about drugs, depression, therapy, and a whole lot more. I’m always excited to see a book, any genre that opens about any of these topics. You had both sides with the therapy too. One family that was quieter about what they were going through and one that was very open and forward. This romance was going to be complicated from the beginning you just knew that because Carly is such an outgo

♡ "I am the most positive, optimistic, annoyingly happy person that I know"

Where do I start with Carly Palmer… Carly isn’t perfect, she’s working through her own issues just like anyone else but chooses to do so with positivity and self-realization practices. Her outlook on the world is to see the light where there is darkness, to focus on your inner ‘Why’. She has a mind filled with movie quotes and a personality filled with more optimism than you can throw an inspirational poster at… and she a

A Kindle Unlimited offer from a new-to-me-author. I didn't love it, but neither did I hate it. I fell somewhere in the middle of a mish-mash of some things I enjoyed and others I found silly, trite and really unbelievable at times. The H was very unlikable for a big part of the story and not sure he really ever totally redeemed himself. The h was a cheerful, zany character who wore on my nerves after a time. I'm not sure really how to explain the whole situation. Definitely filled with some ups ...more

Blown away

New to me author that I stumbled upon. An author that I intend to follow and read more of.

The emotions touches on in this story were so expertly done. Carly, otherwise known as Sunshine, certainly fits that nickname. So upbeat and positive that I actually felt my chest get right when others didn't quite appreciate her sunny disposition. Fin, such a stoic person to start with, but rightly so. Their connection and journey is certainly their own and one that stands out for me.

A must read.

Another doormat heroine

The whole book I just wanted to scream at her to stand up and put her foot down. At the very end, when she finally decided to do just that, of course the H decides he finally wants more than to treat her like a booty call and all is perfect again. These types of endings are so very frustrating and kill a book for me. I would rather her ended up alone or with someone else than to just wait around for a man to decide she is worthy of him.

Feel-good, positivity, forgiveness

I REALLY enjoyed this book! It was definitely a feel-good enemies to lovers romance. The book centers around positivity and forgiveness. Forgiving others and forgiving yourself. At first I was a little put off by just how positive the main character was, but I ended up loving her! She balanced out, for sure. Several steamy scenes that were great! It was a quick, great read. I finished in one day. It’s a stand-alone, HEA, with no cheating.

Everyone has a story

I love this book. It has so many subjects and topics that were touched on. The running theme of what you see at face value is never going to be the true value beneath. Shining a light on the shadows can help you see there aren't as scary. The book also highlights the importance of communication.
