A Dark Reverse Harem Romance

My body had never been touched by a man. Then I was sold to seven of them.

The city was my only chance to survive, but I didn't make it an hour before I was caught. They stripped me, punished me, and then auctioned me off. Not to just one man, but to seven battle-hardened brutes hungry for a woman to claim and ravish in the most shameful ways ima

I love this author so much, but this book -although it is her most popular one- I almost did not finish it. It had tons of sex and zero world building. And I did not even find the sex that interesting.
It is dystopian and you could consider it reverse harem ((view spoiler)).

This reverse harem story was HOT and had a very good twist to this genre.
Trissa is a young woman who finds herself in a very difficult situation and she uses her sass and funny swear words to try and get herself out of it. The men who buy her are big brutish mercenaries that are willing to spank the attitude out of her.
This new book by Loki was different from her previous books but I still loved it.
The difference would reveal spoilers so I won't put those here. But I think it is writers growth m

The bare bones of a cool story that wasn't quite developed to become that spark of cool. I wish the author had chosen to develop the story more and go into detail of the world & characters. They were interesting and I would have enjoyed getting to know them better. I liked the completion of one of the little plot lines. Not really a lurid story full of sex as much a tale of change and growth.

This was a fantastic dark RH read. Set in a future where women are scarce and society is broken. Mercenaries and kings and a wild girl who won’t be tamed. I have to make mention of her cursing - it was so hilarious! I genuinely LOLd when she thought income tax was a curse word 😂😂

Seriously. I could NOT with the heroine and her use of tax/money related terms as curse words.

I feel a bit ripped off - the blurb said one thing, the book really felt like something else.

I must say I was pleasantly surprised by just how much I enjoyed this story, I mean how it seemed much more than an erotic reverse harem to me.
It is that: plenty of huge muscular Alpha men (7) to 1 wild (as in untamed/uncivilized) young female & sizzling sex, but the author truly (IMO) makes a firm connection between Trissa (h) & the reader.
Normally I do not care for snarky smart mouth heroines because it just seems so contrived, but Trissa's background & life before being 'captured' makes it ve

This book made my heart feel so big and then RIPPED MY HEART OUT and then made it feel so big again! This was my first reverse harem and I loved it so much. Usually I find myself getting attached to the wrong guys in shows and books and whatever when there's a group of them, and end up with very little screen time with my faves. I was worried that would happen in a RH story, where everyone's getting gorgeous sex scenes except the one or two I am super crushing on. BUT NO. I fell for Tore and Mat ...more

I love dark romance a lot! But one the main female character is literally a little girl mentally, ew! She was raised in the wilds of an post apocalyptic earth and was never taught sex or anything pertaining to a what being a woman is and what happens to our bodies as we get older through puberty, she has the mentality of a child! Which is extremely creepy when she was being raped a by these guys, like seriously you had the character calling the men parking tickets but the next minute w

I'm really sorry for the low rating but...

I usually enjoy all Loki Renard's books aside from a random few that were a little too over the top for my taste but this one I just did not like at all...First off I was very confused through a good bit of the book with the way the character named her Mercinaries with Nick names but then every so often would use their real names it just kept throwing me off had me very confused. Second in the description it says she's sold off to 7 Mercs but in the book

A fun read that has a bit of everything. In a dystopian world, the USA has been divided into factions but somewhat different from what we have seen before. Women are rare and precious but use for reproduction which means many men will "breed" her while kept as sex slaves. Trissa is a free and feral young woman who has kept alive and unharmed and untouched by being clever. Her father taught her to stay away from men if she is to keep her freedom and to do anything necessary to never get caught. S ...more

UM.... I can't really get this straight but somehow I must say the story is good I think. Rate it for 3.8 stars for me.

I must say the story started off ... weird but in a good way. I like weird story TBH and this is definitely one of the weird plots you can overcome. So the storyline set in the future, where women are captured and sent to reproduce a better future. And as far as I get the idea is, only the rich and the people with power can reproduce that means... not all man can have sex.

Not fully developed

This has the bare bones of an ok story but with more character development and better world building it could have been phenomenal. This was the first time I have read this author.

I don't know how this author does it, but every book that she writes is 100% unique. With her enormous backlist, one night think it would be impossible to be that creative over and over again. Don't make that assumption! This is a reverse harem book, and goodness knows how many of those books I've read in the last year. Not one of them resembled this funny dystopian take with a wildly likable cast of characters.

I did not want to close the pages on Trissa and her world
Sold takes its reader on an emotional journey that is both delightful and entertaining - So many of the RH books are the same "got ya" "men beating chest" "woman capitulates" "yadda yadda" - just different names and altered scenes - That was not the case here not even close!
I truly wish this was a bit longer read (yes that is me being greedy) there were so many possibilities within this story as well as back story lines. Exceptional chara

It has been a long time since I have read such a magnificent dark reverse harem romance, this romance is set in dystopian/post-apocalyptic United States & it certainly kept my attention until the last page was turned. I found the characters to be well-developed with well-defined personalities, individually each of them are quite unique & display realistic emotional feelings. The plot scenario is conceivable & well-written with some devious undertones & unexpected occurrences.

Sold is a dark, reverse harem romance. Trissa was born into a world where she’s far outnumbered, extremely rare, and not just wild, but free. While in the city, trying to find money and security, she’s discovered, taken, and sold to several men. Her whole life is about to change, but will Trissa keep her wildness, or will her new owners break her spirit?

Holy smokes! This book was amazing, intense, full of fierce independence, facing the consequences of your actions, and realizing that fate might

This book started off pretty good. It reminded me of the time during the Great Depression but instead of everyone’s money being gone it’s the women. If you’re all for women’s rights then you’ll hate this book. I feel like as a woman in this world they should have all the power. How are woman rare and still get treated like shit with no respect. The sex parts were great the story line was cool too. But I feel like I needed to know the characters more. There was a lot of action that reminded me of ...more

Trissa has been free all her life and stayed hidden away from men. Her world is violent and women are nothing more than breeders. She wants nothing to do with any man but the she is found out and captured. The Sheriff, a cruel man, take enjoyment and her capture. She is to be sold to the highest bidder. She will not be broken and no man will tame her.

You are never too certain who the men truly are. When Trissa is taken to the palace, I thought these men were part of those that would take her. Bu

This is a very entertaining Sci-fi romance set in a post-apocalyptic United States where women are rare and men are desperate to possess the remaining few. I really enjoyed the imagery of this harsh way of life and found the reasons that led to this new reality quite plausible and frightening. I really liked Trissa’s character. Having grown up living on her own on the outskirts of civilization (such as it is), she is feisty, fearless and resourceful. While there are definitely some dark elements ...more

Loki Renard is a writer.

This is the sincerest compliment I can pay her. Her latest work, “Sold” is, above all, fiction, beyond what I would consider “fetish erotica” or “dark erotica”. But dark, oh yes, it is. This is a dystopian vision of a world I personally have a hard time being aroused by. The world-building here, the vision behind it, take precedence to mere diddle fodder—at least for me. (Not sure about the rest of you sicko ladies, eh?) And at least for me, that dark vision subsumes all

Females have nearly been eradicated
Ten years, Trissa had been living by herself since her father’s murder, hiding in the shadows and emerging only when it was safe as she dressed as a male wearing a beard and having her hair up. This was a dangerous undertaking there were very few women still left alive and those that had survived were in private harems or held as prized possessions.
Unfortunately. this day would change her life forever and there was very little she could do but hold on to her dr

WTF, oh my god this is one of the best books I have read in a long time! Ms. Renard always delivers but this time she has outdone herself!
I loved every aspect of this story, the fantastic, well rounded characters, the flashes of humor, a strong female lead, and a host of hot blooded alpha males. Yes there is smoking hot sex scenes, some with dub/con, but beyond the sensuality of this story is just the overall emotions it invoked. I smirked, I cheered for our gal, I lusted after the men, I ranted

At first I wasnt too sure about this book. My heart went out to Trissa a lone woman trying to stay hidden in a world where women were used to breed. There wasnt many woman in the world and Trissa had done well to stay under the radar, until she took some oranges. But they get the surprise of their lifes when Trissa fake beard comes away in her stew. She is to be sold to the highest bi ...more
