I received this book through NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

After being on a psychological thriller and YA book reading surge, I was in need of a good historical romance to switch it up and refresh my mind. And after quickly getting through the first 20% of this book, I knew I had made the right decision! This really was WICKED and it was so well done. There was a perfect blend of love, lust, heartache, and realism that could tie into anyone’s modern world. I LOVED Diana. She was su

3.5 stars rounded up because even though the plot was pretty straight forward and simple it was a really fast enjoyable read! Sometimes I just need a reminder of why I fell in love with historical romances in the first place and this book sent me straight there. The balls, the gowns, the gossip, the attitudes, the drama, and.... the passion!

This is book 3 in the Once Wicked series and can without a doubt stand alone. I have not read books one and two but after reading this book I would not be o

I enjoyed this book, it was unbelievable what woman went thru back then, one lie and there life as they knew could be ruined. Lady Diane was betrayed by her fiance and best friend and found an ally in Harrow, he was so good to her and crazingly enough Harrow's wife was also not only accepting of the relationship that Harrow and Diana had, but had also become a very good or more like family. Lord Blackthorn comes back after being banished by his family for causing a scandal and you would think th ...more

A Wicked Reputation by Liana LeFey
A Once Wicked Novel #3

Lady Diana Haversham is in a dire situation when her uncle tells her he is kicking her out of the house. What is she going to do? Well, she is going to find someone willing to take her in, give her the acting job of a century being his fake-courtesan and she is going to become bigger in society than she ever imagined. She has a plan and Harrow, the man “keeping” her, is helping her achieve it. Diana and Harrow develop a strong friendship ov

Lady Diana's reputation is tarnished when her fiance ran away with her best friend and got married. He told everyone that Diana had gotten pregnant by some other man. Since this is set in the 1800s then having sex outside of marriage is a sin and no man will want to marry a woman who is soiled. She was living with her uncle and aunt at the time. Her uncle threw her out of the house and would not believe her. Left with little choice, she agrees to pretend to be a courtesan to protect her benefact ...more

What a great book. When Lady Diana Haversham is jilted by her betrothed and best friend, she is thrown out of her uncle's house. She must now find a way to survive. She meets Lord Harrow who becomes her protector. He has a wife and now Diana is his mistress. All is not as it seems. She goes to balls with Lord Harrow and shopping with his wife. Does she warm both of their beds? Everything is going along fine until Lucas, Lord Blackthorn comes into the picture. He wants her badly. There is a wager ...more

A most unusual love story but a great read. Diana, a Duke’s daughter, has lost both of her parents and at the mercy of her uncle. As her uncle hates her, her fiancé breaks their engagement and then runs off to marry her best friend. In order to justify why he broke their engagement, Grenville started the rumor that she had given her virtue to other men and she was ruined in the eyes of the ton. Harrow saves her, takes her as his mistress but there is more to this than meets the eye. Lucas become ...more

I could not wait to read A Wicked Reputation by Liana LeFey! It was everything I had hoped it would be and more! From the very beginning the story captivated me and the author’s beautiful writing made it all come to life. The plot is very engaging, steamy, and it completely stands out. It is unpredictable and made me tear up a few times too. The characters are fantastic! It was so easy to love them all, they are so charming! Really, I can’t praise this book enough! A Wicked Reputation by Liana LeFey is book Three in the Once Wicked Series. This is the story of Diana Haversham and Lucas Blackthorn. I feel you can make this a standalone book if you wish to do so. Diana was a daughter of a Duke but became a orphan who was taken in by her Uncle. Then she was set to marry but that man ran off with her best friend but not before ruining her reputations. Diana Uncle kicked her out which left her no where to go until Harrow comes forward. They come up with a barga ...more

This was an amazing book that I honestly could not put down! It had the historical England high society betrayals that you may expect but in a very unique way. I loved the writing and would definitely recommend to historical romance fans.

I voluntarily read and received a free ARC copy of this title through NetGalley in exchange for a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I was so happy to have chanced upon this book. First time to have read a book from this author. A great 5 star read. Plot was well thought out (especially in the first 80% of the book), dialogue was charming between the H/h and the intimate scene was hot! So glad to finally read a good romance after all the duds I’ve read lately :)

On finding herself thrown out by her uncle, Lady Diana Haversham does the unexpected and finds herself a protector, Lord Harrow. Their relationship is scandalous as she has also befriended his wife and what appears to be a music instructor. But all is not as it seems.
Lucas Blackthorn, on meeting Diana, finds himself captivated but not recognising the woman, who he briefly met on the night of her fall from grace. When Lucas wins a house in Mayfair and finds Diana his new neighbour, any chance of

This is the first book i have read that is written by Liana LeFey. The plot was interesting. I like how well edited the book is compared to other books I have read. The twist in the story was quite entertaining.

We have our virginal heroine pretending to be a courtesan We have our hero who was determined to uncover the heroine’s secrets. I will not get into detaila about the story. However, I will be honest and say that some parts of the book dragged a bit. I did appreciate the internal dialogue

This is the first book I read by Liana LeFey and the story was quite unusual but I did enjoy it! Thrown out by her uncle, she ends up agreeing to pretend to be a courtesan to protect her benefactor's secret. I could not wait to read this book because I had read a previous story by this author and loved it. This one contained all the elements of a great regency romance with heartache, a woman betrayed and so many emotions that kept me turning the pages as quickly as I could. The dictates of the time and gossip could have a lady ruined even if she did nothing scandalous and that was the case with Diana. To make things worse her betrothed married her good friend and left her ruined with untruths.

A Wicked Reputation is the first book by Liana LeFey I've read and I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. The story line is original and the characters engaging. If you're a fan of historical romance this is a solid read. I'll definitely keep my eye out for additional titles by the author.

I LOVED Diana and Lucas' story!! Watching these two come together was magical! The whole forbidden fruit, I'm sure is what lured in Lucas, but as he got to know Diana, he fell hard! I loved watching them overcome their hurdles and find their HEA!

I'm hoping that LeFey is continuing with this series as I have throughly enjoyed it!!

The story was not what I predicted or imagined from the book blurb but I was not disappointed. This book stands out the genre. Worth checking out.

I really good premise for the story. I enjoyed this immensley. The Hero and Heroine were interesting as well as Diana's protector. I think it was reasonably realistic of the mores of the time. Good mixture of passion and romance.

I shall look out for other books by this author and heartily recommend this book.

DISCLAIMER 1: This is a stand alone story. You do not need to have read the others in order to enjoy this one.

While I admit that this was an interesting take on the whole idea of a courtesan (even a pretend one), and the friendship between the characters was endearing, I just didn't find this story believable.

To begin with if Lucas could so easily figure out the truth based on what he saw through an open window there is no way they could have kept their secret as long as they did. Their lacklus

I have to say, this was a quality historical romance book. I’m getting more and more pickier in this genre, but this book reminded me why I love to read about the lovelife of the noble ones.

If you read the plot, it is interesting enough, however you have the slightest feeling that you’ve already read something similar before. Here’s the twist, you’re right, BUT only in the main storyline. I assure you Lady Diana and Lord

Lady Diana Haversham lost both her parents ten years ago and has since been at her uncle's house. The man is a worm. Her fiance jilted her and ran off and married her best friend. Then he went about the ton and absolutely ruined her reputation. Her step-uncle believed it, mainly because he wanted to, he wanted her dowry. She has these last few years been taken care of by Lord Harrow. Lord Lucas Blackthorn has been out of the country for the last two years. He went mainly for the state Dept. but ...more

Really not sure how to rate this book. The story line is a bit preposterous. Virginal girl is ruined by being jilted and having lies regarding her behavior, so she became a courtesan. What? Then, wait, she hasn’t really been a courtesan all these years, she’s a beard for a Lord who prefers men. Not only is she his beard, they pretend to have threesomes to make sure the rumor mill keeps their reputations scandalous. Our H, a Lord who likes to walk the wild side, meets and lusts after her, and ult ...more
