This is my first book by this author, and I was excited to dive in. This book is the third in a series, but I have started in the middle of a series before and haven’t had much trouble. The same could be said of this book. There were a couple things I think I might have missed; however, I was still able to enjoy myself because it didn’t really feel like I had missed much at all. I liked the overall story, the world, and the action. I didn’t feel like I connected to the characters as much as I wo ...more

I read this book in a day! The twists in the plot kept me engaged to the point that I really wanted to finish the book once I started. I then went back and read Path Unchosen and then Truth Unveiled, the other two books in the series. Each book can be read without reading the others in the series; however, you miss some of the more nuanced traits of the characters.

I absolutely love the main character, Meagan Greystone. She is so vulnerable yet so strong in her love for her friends and her commi

Meagan had been planning her special weekend to celebrate her six month anniversary with Glynn and she told Evie she was afraid something would crop up and spoil this for her, and boy, did something crop up! Wow this story went away from Meagan and her necromancer powers, away from Winterhurst and Ravenswood to take us into a story of horror unimagined! We get thrown into a post-apocalyptic wilderness, with empty cities, derelict train stations and underground tunnels which had filled up with th ...more

She thought they were safe. But the undead aren’t the only enemy...

Her boyfriend, Glynn Buckley, answers a plea for help in nearby Brimbank. When Meagan hears rumour of an uprising she assumes the worst and bullies her way into the locked down city. Meagan has the power and the skills to help, but this is no ordinary uprising. Something dark is going on in the old city. Something evil. Something unh

The Mayor wanted Meagan Greystone to sit on the council court hearings, as her dad and every generation of her family had done. But Meagan didn’t want to judge her neighbors as a representative of the witches. Although she protested she was too young at 19, she was more than adequate for the job! Meagan is a strong person who stands up for her friends and is very protective.

Although Meagan is powerful, there may be something else that is more powerful. When she puts herself in the middle of her

Starting a series in the middle is something I don't normally do but when I came across the book the plot sounded too interesting and also I did not realise that this was the 3rd book in a series so I started reading this.

I really enjoyed the book and do intend to read more of it. The writing was very good, descriptive, mysterious very perfectly balanced, the plot as I have already said was too good to pass, however I could not connect very well to the characters and the reason for that is not t

This is my 1st read and review for this author and even though this is book 3 of the Daughter of Ravenswood it can be read as a standalone and that’s a good thing because I haven’t read the first two books to this series. Meagan Greystone is a witch and a necromancer and the love of her life is Glynn the sheriff of Winterhurst. Meagan is planning something special for Glynn for their 6 month anniversary but things don’t go as planned when Glynn is asked to go and help in the next town over of Br ...more

I have been so excited to rejoin Megan at Ravenswood. Now that she is more comfortable with her gift, I thought things would be a bit calmer. Boy, was I wrong. Glynn was a major part of this story, but Evie and Purah are only mentions. I was disappointed that Lyken, Aeyon and Zu didn't show at all. I didn't like Del from the get-go. Megan and Glynn have their hands full with drug addicts, dead, undead, spirits and a psychopathic commanding officer. Megan being who she is wants to help everyone. T ...more

A story that is utterly fantastic. This is my first book by Kim Cleary and I am impressed. This is a book in a series and even though it is a continuation I didn’t feel lost by just reading this one only. This has so much action with suspense, drama, and mystery. There is some sweet romance blended in there as well. The characters are extremely well developed and you can just feel as well as imagine their personalities. This is the first book I have read in the series and i can't wait to go back and read the others. Meagan is a very headstrong and determined witch. When she hears her boyfriend has left to go back to the Army involving the dead rising she knew she had to find him. This is her calling and what she does as a necromancer. She wanted to know how and why, but what she stumbles into maybe more than she can handle. There is an evil a bout but it's not the dead. It's someone more powerful and evil.

Fate Uncertain is book 3 in the Daughter of Ravenswood series. This is the first book by Kim Cleary I've read. The unique storyline and strong and loyal main female character (Meagan Greystone) make this a must read. Meagan is becoming more comfortable with her gifts and is using them for good. It is an action packed adventure that draws you in and keeps you turning pages to the end. I enjoyed this book so much I will be reading the first two books in the series. This is listed as Book 3 of 3, b ...more

I think this was possibly the most interesting of the Daughter of Ravenswood series for me. I'll let you read the blurb above to find out what the story's about (don't want to give away spoilers!) but I will just say that seeing Meagan finally feel comfortable enough in her own skin to explore her talents and use them for good, rather than hiding from them like before, was an excellent thing. A thrilling read, and one I'd highly recommend.

Join Meagan as her romantic anniversary is crashed by an ominous situation, disappearance, doubts and a journey into blazing sun and tunnel ruins. Characters that have their own agenda, their own people to protect. Each reacts and fight differently to achieve their goals. And our hero necromancer has to mind each if she wants to keep safe and sound the people she chose to protect. And stay alive while she is at it.
A fast-paced quest of truth that blurry borders between the living and the dead.

I really enjoyed the 3rd book in the series. Meagan is a very likeable protagonist, and she's maturing in several ways, her acceptance of her gifts, her dual heritage, and as a person - one who's made mistakes but is learning from each of them. A central theme of this book is the development of her relationship with Glynn but it features lot of action, intrigue, more unusual circumstances and characters. This author indicates that there are 3 books to the series, and it seems to be wrapped up... ...more

being a necromancer can really interfere with your love life.

her hunky man may want her far the the fray, but an uprising involving elements related to her specialty is one where she will be right in the middle.

but are stubborn and love enough to triumph, or will more and worse come into play - and at what cost.

warring adventure meets love and romance.

This was my first witch related book and I was skeptical because I’m not a witch fan but the book had me hooked the whole time. I flip flopped many times on trusting different characters and who was on the bad side. And Aidan really had me because my son is like him, so he pulled at my heart strings. I can’t wait to read her other books in the series!!!

A thrilling read, and one I'd highly recommend! There is suspense and intrigue that will keep you glued to the pages until the very end. It wove in the post-apocalyptic scenario and had you rooting for the undead. The terrifying situations faced by Meagan and Glynn kept me on the edge of my seat. I hope there will be more books in this series!
I received a free copy of this book but I always give an honest, voluntary review based on my own opinions.

This is the 3rd book of the Daughter of Ravenswood series and I am hoping the author continues with further books. This world is so well built and the characters well developed you get transported there and become invested in all of the people portrayed. Trying to avoid spoilers - but in the end the book is well worth reading and the direction it is headed is extremely interesting. Glad that even though this is book 3, I was able to enjoy it without missing the story line since I have not read books 1 or 2. Meagan and her boyfriend Glynn are a dynamic duo. She's a strong witch who will do all she can to protect her loved ones. Looking forward to reading the other books in this series.
