A short, passionate, and persuasive argument that the defense of the right to an abortion must be part of a comprehensive movement for women's liberation. Brown slices quickly and easily through a lot of history here, but this book is not meant to be a history or comprehensive accounting of the acquisition and defense of abortion rights in America. [I received a copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review]

I read extensively about abortion rights in my college Women's Studies classes and have tried to keep up with the myriad court cases and opposition to abortion rights and access in my personal reading since, but Jenny Brown's "Without Apology" (releasing October 1, 2019) gave me several new insight and outlooks. She made me rethink some situations and educated me on evolving terminologies and strategies. I strongly recommend this

Cannot recommend this book enough. It's an incredibly succinct overview of everything you need to know about the fight for abortion rights in America. Interviewing her for my podcast The Vast Majority later this month.

Shelves: abortion
This book really reveals the self-interest behind the pro-abortion movement. The author and the group she belongs to are hard-core radicals who disdain the euphemism "choice" and brag about using abortion as birth control. At least they are honest.
