It’s time for another Ravenmist Whodunnit! A tiny Midwestern town with charming covered bridges, quirky residents, delightful antique shops, and more than their share of haunted activity.
Tedi has another packed inn of people for the Ravenmist Valentine’s Day Ball. The evening was a complete success until she and Jack find a dead body on the back patio with a Cupid’s arrow through his heart. There’s no shortage of suspects for his murder either. Jack will have his hands full paring down the list.
And Tedi? She’s staying out of this. No way is she going to be pulled into it. Not after last time. She has her own investigation. She and her friend Missy are trying to find why the town has suddenly been infused with paranormal energy. Ghosts are literally getting up and dancing around. It’s all going well too. That is until the investigation starts to hit just a little bit too close to home.
Hop into your ghostmobile and take a ride with Tedi as she meets a spirit who doesn’t think he’s dead, two ghosts in love, and a hard partying specter who just might have witnessed the murder. It’s a hauntingly good time in the little town of Ravenmist and you’re invited to the party.

Better than the first book as the characters have now settled into their roles and gained more depth. The plot is a murder mystery but it is also about the ghost and the personal life of the characters. Rich and varied it pulls together beautifully. The St Valentine's Day event should have been a happy one if an ex-boyfriend of one of her friends hadn't caused a row between himself, his new girlfriend, her friend and her new boyfriend. It got so bad that Jack (the sheriff) had to intervene. Now the jersey is dead, shot by an arrow from the Cupid she had set up in the entrance. With her friend as a suspect, she has to look into things. Is Jack on the right track going after the dead man's girlfriends or hold he dig deeper? Will he find the killer? Is the Legend of the two lovers who killed themselves true? Where is the dead man's ghost (he did a runner when her BFF tried to reap him)? Will she ever get used to her parents splitting up and now dating new people? Why is everyone so intent on pushing her and Jack together? Why are ghosts so much stronger in town that they almost look alive?
Such a fun series! Tedi has really grown into her position at the hotel and within the community. I love that the ghosts in the town and how they've really become a part of it. The mystery definitely kept me guessing until the end. Really looking forward to the next one.
There is just something about a town where everyone knows everyone else. This book has a town like that. They also have a lot of ghosts. These ghosts are not your typical ghosts as you will find out if you read the book. I absolutely loved the ghosts and the parts they played in the story. I only wish they had more of a presence in the book. They really brought the story to life. Overall, a pleasant ghost story with a mystery that wasn't too easy to solve.
This is such a fun series, and I really enjoyed this installment. The mystery was really gripping, and I was surprised by how things turned out. I liked seeing Jack and Tedi develop a friendship, and I really hope it gets to be more!
Tedi and Jack are both being targeted by the townspeople who think that “they could do worse” than by getting together. Tedi still proclaims that they are just friends. Tedi is having trouble dealing with her Mom and Dad’s divorce. She particularly had problems when they both showed up with dates at the annual Valentine party.
Colin Aiken, a womanizing con artist was killed by one of Cupid’s arrows shot through his heart. Unfortunately, Daisy, the psychic owner of the diner is suspected of his death. Tedi was determined to clear her friend’s name even if Jack became angered at her interference. Unfortunately, the murderer was closer to home.
This book is number two in a three part series. The characters are quirky and there is lots of humor in the books.
I really enjoyed this book. I have been loving the quick reads to catch up on my tbr list as well as my reading goal. Please know the book itself is not want took me so long to finish it. It was as good as the first in my opinion and I love the Sherrif and Tedi’s banter back and forth. Unfortunately life was what took me so long to finish this book but it was a great way to jump back into my normal reading habits again and finish it up. If you love a sassy MFC and an MMC who’s not afraid to give it right back this is a great book. It’s just enough funny mixed with mystery to keep you hooked through the whole book.
Fun series, this is the second book I have read in this series and I love the story. The characters are great fun and the ghosts are becoming quite the center of attention. Jack and Tedi are finally becoming friends and life keeps moving along. This story pulls together the lives of the ghosts and the residents (live ones) of the town. The interaction is the making of a really good story plot. Cannot wait to find out what is making the ghost so much stronger that they can interact with the citizens of the town. Enjoy the humor and fun generated by reading this series.
This series is great! I would advise reading them in order for the backstory though. Teri is up to her ears in ghosts and another murder on her property. She's a great character and likeable. I'm enjoying this series because it's not your typical formula cozy. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Jack and Tedi though.
Overall another good read, decently written and again good characters. I still think there's too much internal dialogue from Tedi. It throws the flow off when she's listening in on or having a conversation. I do like the slow progress being made between Tedi & Jack, its sweet in an odd way, but the next step would be nice.
Loving this series, it's Valentines day at Ravenmist and the Inn and we have another murder, everyone wants Tedi and Jack together-lol, ghosts seem restless and Tedi's father's short lived romance went to the crapper. Super good book!!
Tedi is throwing another party at the Inn. The whole town is going to be there, and even some out of towners...what could possibly go wrong? Murder, ghosts, and secrets revealed.
“I was off to cast a spell with my friend, my mother, and the Grim Reaper. Nothing to see here, folks. Just another day in Ravenmist.” Such a fun and charming read. This is the second book of the Ravenmist series that I’ve read and I love it. I will definitely keep reading more.
It's Valentine's Day in Ravenmist and the Inn is booked solid. After last years unfortunate events, it's time to reset and enjoy the holiday. The Valentine's Day Ball always draws a crowd and Tedi and her best friend Missy are ready to party. The Ravenmist Inn has been in Tedi's family for decades and she takes pride knowing she's a part of that history. Jackson Garrett is the town's Sheriff. They don't always see eye to eye, that's an understatement, but they are friends. And that's saying a lot because just months ago they were enemies. Ghost hunting and murders seems to be their topic of discussion. They don't agree on much except their feelings on marriage. They'd both been there. Done that. End of story. With the party days away, Jack would likely visit the Inn and make the necessary safety checks. You'd think he was making up reasons to see Tedi, but they both had busy lives and didn't need that complication-Tedi, running the Inn and Jack raising a teenage son and being the Sheriff. On the outside it looked as though more was going on between them, which everyone encouraged. The Ball seemed to be a huge success right up until the last call, until Jack and Tedi realized one person would not be going home.
I couldn't wait to start this book! I needed to see if Tedi and Jack were going to get together. In book 1 they went from enemies to friends, with so much more potential. But this story was so much more than that. Although their banter and teasing was on point, they had much more pressing matters. I NEED MORE ! I'm so happy Olivia is continuing this series. Missy and Tedi make an awesome team, but Jack and Tedi are to die for !
