Haunted Melody is a fantastic story, the genre of ghost-paranormal reinvented. Breathtaking and gorgeous, it simply brings the reader to her knees.

I didn't expect the point of view of this read. I didn't expect the turn the story took, the circumstances, or the saving grace of the hero.
None of what happened here has been done before.

Hot, sweet, and heart-wrenching, Haunted Melody gives the tear ducts a workout. It makes the reader fan herself, want to be there with the protagonist—at the same t

Alyson Santos is one of those kinds of writers that makes you want to try harder when you're writing. She's more than unique; she's daring. This book can't fit in one envelope--it fits in many. It fit me just right. It's so different, and the voice is so haunting and beautiful (pun slightly intended). The story is about redemption, and about forging ahead and living/loving. It's lyrical in the best way. ...more

Haunted Melody by Alyson Santos is hauntingly beautiful.

Santos takes her readers on a journey, that will have them questioning every step, while wanting to turn the page to see what happens next.

I love that it’s a story that will hit you right in the heart, and the aha moment is phenomenal.

A paranormal romantic suspense you’ll want to read!

Well, I mean, it is different at least.

I like playing around with the idea of being dead, and the different interpretations people have, and this was definitely among one of those not very conventional ones; but babe, there are problems. And I'll get to them..eventually.

If you know me, you know that ghosts are kinda my thing. I have had a love of ghosts and ghost stories for a long time, so when I hear Alyson is writing a ghost story, I know I’m going to want to read it. Let me tell you, it isn’t like any other ghost story around. Alyson writes “haunted” (see what I did there) bad boys like no one else, tortured souls, if you will. This is so much more than a love story. It’s a story of forgiveness, realization, compassion and of light. Milo was surrounded by s ...more

I can honestly say this is like nothing I have ever read before. As always Alyson has written something unique that doesn't fit the limitations of a particular genre, but reaches down deep within you. This is a story of redemption, of change, of acceptance and the power of love. Milo needs to find his light and whilst Rachel is there in the shadows, he needs to be ready to accept what she is willing to give.

I don't really know what to say to review this book, I just know I felt it long after I f

No one writes a tortured soul (literally) like Alyson Santos. Milo represents the part in all of us that yearns for something, whether it's hope, love, or forgiveness—even from ourselves. Haunted Melody gives you Santos' imaginative writing with several new twists that make for a unique, exquisite story of a man's desperate journey for redemption and the unexpected heroine who guides him. Five hauntingly beautiful stars. ...more

This book was not what I was expecting. It was so much more. Couldn't put it down once I started.
There is so much to this story that I will keep the review short.
What I will say thought is all throughout it reminded me of a hauntingly beautiful twist on a much loved favourite, The Lake House by Nicholas Sparks.

First things first dear reader clear your calendar and get some tissues ready because you won’t want to put it down nor will you ever be the same. I will admit I went into this thinking oh another Alyson Santos book sign me up it’s no secret I’m a diehard fan but it’s so much more. It did take me to about the 40% mark to make sense of what was happening but once I hit 41%, I was off and couldn’t stop. I’m still shaking my head and trying to clean up the tissues.

I don’t typically read paranormal romances where a ghost is the main love interest, and the last one I did read (which I ADORED and re-read it more times than I’s Dark Needs at a Night’s Edge by Kresley Cole if you were wondering) was many, MANY moons ago. So when I saw the cover and read the very short blurb, I found myself intrigued and decided that I needed to check this baby out ~ if for no other reason than I’d have the chance to read a new au

This is the first book I've read by Alyson Santos, but certainly won't be my last! I was lucky enough to win an early copy and I'm so happy I did. I loved it, it pulled me in and intrigued me right from the start.

Haunted Melody is a beautiful, heartwrenching, thought provoking book full of emotion, that builds and grows from the very beginning. The story of Milo, a broken soul, lost in the darkness and pain of guilt, crippled by unrelenting visions of his past, who finds the light and redemption

I have NO words to even begin to describe My thoughts and feelings right now about this book by Alyson Santos, phenomenal, excellent, spectacular etc.. Don't even come close they aren't good enough. Because this is not an ordinary Romance, or ghost story there is no label for it, because it is Not Ordinary it is EXTRAORDINARY.
Alyson's writing is Magnificent and has proven to me why I love words and why I love to read, its because of books like this... That take you by surprise and hits parts dee

I love a good paranormal romance, but not so much when it comes to ghosts. The only reason that I gave this one a whirl was because it's by Alyson Santos. I have been a huge fan of hers ever since her Night Shifts Black series, so I decided to take a chance on this one.

Haunted Melody took me on an emotional journey that had me questioning every step. It was a unique, intense and beautiful love story. Milo was a very complex and tortured hero, and my heart absolutely ached for him. Ra

"...not everything human is inherently evil. Even the ugliest things started as something beautiful."

I read so many romance books, I thought by now I've seen it all. And then comes Haunted Melody just to prove me wrong. I'm still stunned about this story and the way it was told. I'd like to compare it to some movies meeting in this book to describe what it feels like. But that would totally spoil everything. And I really can't believe this is my first book by Alyson Santos but at the same time I

Haunted Melody lives up to its title. I was bawling in car line picking up my son
True to Alyson Santos this book is a love story with music and a music background. It's also a Ghost story. So many times in this book I was wondering what would happen next. So many questions started at the beginning but they got answered one by one.
I love Milo and Rachel.
Give this book a read when it releases on April 25th.

I have no idea where to start with this review. This is like no other book I’ve ever read. Yes, it’s a ghost story, and no, I haven’t read any ghost stories that I can remember, but, that isn’t where my struggle with this review lies. I loved this story, it is a true romance, but it did take me a good few chapters to fully embrace the story. Alyson Santos never writes straightforward, and that is one of the things that makes her writing so special. You never know what to expect. Wonderfully writ ...more

I love paranormal romances so I was eager to read Haunted Melody. Haunted Melody is a bit unique, but also a bit confusing and took a few minutes to get all my ducks in a row to get on good footing and know what was going on. Once that occurred, I really started to enjoy this book.

Haunted Melody pulls at your heart strings, but it also has some mystery and drama. I really liked the characters and where the story line took me. It was most definitely not your average romance. However, it ticked o

Alyson tells this hauntingly beautiful tale of redemption, love, fate, truth and believing in yourself in such a unique way you will never fear a shadow dancing or that certain rustling of the wind.

Haunted Melody: A Ghost Story by Alyson Santos is a full length, standalone pnr romance novel. A well written story full of unexpected twists and turns that left me breathless and sitting on the edge of my seat from start to the end.

The writing is great and I liked the storyline and the characters. It took me some time to get into the story, but then, bam I was intrigued and couldn't put the book down.

I give 4 pnr stars.

Do you remember the days when you were seated in the back of your parents' car going on a roadtrip and you had no idea where you were heading to but you were thrilled when you got there? Well that was me with Haunted Melody.

Alyson Santos' Haunted Melody is hauntingly beautiful. It is about finding light in the darkest of places. It is about love and redemption. It's soul piercing, and it is wonderfully different.

Read Haunted Melody but let your heart LISTEN to Milo and Rachel's story as it one

Santos NEVER disappoints.

Even the torment of darkness can't separate two souls who were destined to be together forever. A hauntingly beautiful tale of love hidden behind a veil of darkness where only her light can lead to his redemption. But he must choose to follow it.

Haunted Melody was not at all what I expected. Not to say it was bad, because that’s not the case. You go into this story with a preconceived notion and I will tell you right now you will be utterly wrong.

The POV of the story caught me off guard. I’m not sure why I thought it was going to be told by a particular narrator but that was only a one of many surprises.

The air and mystery of this book is the main draw and to honor the authors wishes I won’t sit here and paint a pretty picture about t

I like to read ghost stories, so when I saw Alyson Santos had a new book coming out: HAUNTED MELODY, I one-clicked myself a copy. I've been a fan of Alyson Santos since I read NIGHT SHIFT BLACK. But I was not expecting this unique and haunting story. A different paranormal ghost story. The writing was her best yet. This is a difficult book to review, because you must closely follow as the secrets of the story unfold. I will try to summarize without giving spoilers. There are some dark parts, but ...more

I have no idea how to write this review. This was a bit different than what I usually read but I did like this. First about 38 % were a bit confusing but after that it began to make more sense and I began to really like this book. This book is written from Milo's point of view and we get to know him pretty well. It was interesting to be in his head and know what he was thinking and feeling.

Stepped out of my comfort zone and picked a genre I never read. Paranormal romance. I've always been intrigued with the paranormal and I love romance so put them together and *BOOM* makes for a very interesting story. TBH this book had me very intrigued with it's vague blurp so I dived right in and certainly wasn't disappointed.

I’m all for trying new genres and finding new authors. I know a lot of people love this author, so I was excited to be able to read an ARC of her latest. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed early on, and that disappointment never let up. I’m sure other people may love this book, but it just wasn’t for me. I do not like to give DNFs if at all possible; if I’ve been entrusted to read it, I will read to completion. But this one was a struggle. I spent the first half of the book wondering what wa ...more

Paranormal/after life love story?

The first part of the story had me confused as hell...I knew the main character was a ghost, but the visions or the point of them plus the random people around him left me wondering where this story was going. Then around the halfway point, the story clarified and became a journey to salvation wrapped in a beautiful love story. At one point I started tearing up a little bit, it’s so good.
