A Holiday-themed bonus! Two tales under one cover! A MACKENZIE YULETIDE, a new release and A MACKENZIE CLAN GATHERING, one many have read before, but will enjoy, once again.

Jennifer Ashley’s Mackenzie family is a group of wonderful characters who know how to keep families together with love, loyalty and a keen sense of humor. If you are looking for some quick reading that will gear you up for the holidays, family and you want to start out on a high note, these are two novellas that will do just

Oh fun! A Mackenzie Yuletide was delightful. A whole herd of Mackenzies and family of all ages coming together for Christmas and New Years. Hunting down gifts for one another, hunting down a ghost that's suddenly haunting the estate. I loved seeing everyone. All of the original couples and now their children growing up. It was sweet and funny and overwhelming. Just what Christmas with a huge family should be. A little added mystery, well, two added

A Mackenzie Clan Christmas is a duo of Christmas novellas from the Mackenzie series focusing on the original brothers from the beginning of the series. So, if like me you need an Ian Mackenzie fix – the hero of The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie the first book in the series – this is the perfect set of novellas for you. If you haven’t read the series yet, this is a really bad place to start and I recommend checking out the reading order and starting at the beginning and the aforementioned, and ...more
Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews
A Mackenzie Clan Christmas is two novellas in which one is new and the other is a reprint. The new one is called A Mackenzie Yuletide and the other is A Mackenzie Clan Gathering which was published in 2015, and previously reviewed. I’ll be reviewing the new story, A Mackenzie Yuletide.

The family is gathering for the Christmas holiday and Hogmanay and they are dealing with not one but two mysteries. First, Mac Mackenzie thinks he saw a ghost. Is this a prank or something haunting the house? Ian

“A Mackenzie Yuletide” (Mackenzies & McBrides, Book 11.5)
A ghostly visitor, a missing artifact, and multiple generations of Mackenzies getting in on both hunts? Sign me up! “A Mackenzie Yuletide” is a delightful Christmastime romp featuring one of my favorite families.

It’s December 1898 and Mac Mackenzie is at Kilmorgan painting when he spies a ghost. His siblings and their various offspring are determined to settle their supernatural debate over the existence of
Seasonal Mackenzies! Joy!

Two Christmas season stories with my favorite MacKenzie man taking a lead role, Ian with his wife Beth and their three children.

A Mackenzie Yuletide
At two in the morning Mac is painting in his room at the top of Kilmorgan Castle when he's disturbed by what appears to be the ghost of a woman. He pursues the trailing apparition without success. Later, the younger Mackenzies decide to help, after a humorous start.

A MacKenzie Yuletide is an all new MacKenzie Family novella!

As usual, the MacKenzies descend on Kilmorgan Castle to celebrate the Yuletide season and Hogmanay. Mac is up in his studio painting when a noise disturbs his concentration, he goes to investigate and finds a ghost! But as he approaches her, she disappears, unconcerned, Mac goes to bed and mentions it to the family at breakfast. Some of the children, decide to build a ghost trap – no sure if the ghost is in fact a ghost or if it is

There is nothing better then a book full of Ian Mackenzie! He is my all time book boyfriend and these two short stories have all the reasons that I fell head over heels for Ian Mackenzie.
“A Mackenzie Yuletide”
A lovely Christmas story with all the family gathered and the main storyline is Ian looking for the perfect gift for Beth. It was so much fun getting to know Ian’s children, Jamie, Belle and Megan better throughout this story. The girls are very charming and Jamie is a true Mackenzie make.

I’m a huge JA fan and *cough* though I have all the Mackenzie books, I, er, haven’t exactly, er, READ them, you see. Yet. But I know they’re there, and this one makes me want to pull them all out of Mt. TBR and begin a glom. Alas, Sebastian St. Cyr #8 is calling my name (quite rudely actually!) and I can feel his steely eye glint for keeping him and Hero waiting. I’ll get to you Ian Mackenzie and clan see if I don’t. Just, er, not right at this exact minute.

I have loved the Mackenzies since reading Ian's story. This book has two stories that will show how the family can pull together to accomplish anything they need or want. Two wonderful Christmas stories from the ever popular family.

I received a copy of this book via Netgalley and am leaving a review.

YES! Revisiting the MacKenzie Clan is so much fun. This is a book of Novellas and it took me back to the wonderful highlander world Jennifer Ashley created. I read the first few books in this series years ago and absolutely loved them, so this was so much fun. I just really love how she writes highlander romance. The kinship, friends, and family just warm the heart--which is perfect for a Christmas read! I'd definitely recommend this whole series!

These two short stories feature the whole Mackenzie clan. I loved seeing all the characters again, and what they have been up to. The two stories are set about 5 years apart and I enjoyed noting the differences in what's been going on. There's a little mystery to solve in each but the main theme is how the Mackenzies are still very much in love and how important family is to them. Very enjoyable.

It’s always a pleasure to join the Mackenzie clan any time of the year but at Christmas it seems that much more perfect. A Mackenzie clan Christmas features two novellas. One new story and one previously released. Jennifer Ashley has a knack for writing about families and I’ll have to say the Mackenzies are quite fascinating. Both stories feature Ian Mackenzie, who happens to be my favorite Mackenzie man. Don’t miss this chance to catch up with the clan, see how the next generation is coming ...more

The entire extended Mackenzie family is gathering at Kilmorgan to celebrate the Christmas holiday together. The four brothers – Hart, Cam, Mac, and Ian, are now well into their middle years, but are still passionately in love with their wives. Their children are all growing up, and it won’t be long before they are finding their own loves.

This year, Ian has seen pictures of an antique necklace which he wants to

A Mackenzie Clan Christmas is a beautiful book with novellas of the Mackenzie family through different periods of their lives.

I love how Jennifer Ashley packs in the family, love, and drama into this book. This is my first time reading about the Mackenzie family and I already fell in love with them.

A Mackenzie Yuletide is all about the family gathering for Christmas. in Kilmorgan. It is set in 1896, and the family is facing a debate about ghosts. We see Ian Mackenzie who is on his journey to

A wonderful early Christmas present wrapped up in warm Mackenzie plaid.

A Mackenzie Clan Christmas consists of two novellas; A Mackenzie Yuletide, which is new and A Mackenzie Clan Gathering which was previously published.

I adore the Mackenzies and am always eager to revisit this large, loving family. Ian, Mac, Cameron, and Hart’s children are older in the Yuletide story and are just as charming and mischievous as their parents.

In A Mackenzie Yuletide, Ian and his son Jamie are both trying to

A story about any of the Mackenzie clan members is always worth reading but in this case, we get 2 stories about my favorite Mackenzie character - Ian Mackenzie. because of his quirks (aka his madness) he always makes things intersting. The first story is a Christmas story and Ian is set on finding an antique necklace for his wife.
In the second story (which takes place before the first) the Mackenzie home is broken into and important artwork is stolen and expensive whiskey is destroyed. Ian
A Mackenzie Yuletide
The Mackenzies are once again gathering for Christmas. The younger generation is growing up (and starting to be prepped for their own stories) but the original generation of Ashley's books are still there. Mac, in particular, is featured as he is the first to see the Mackenzie ghost. This mystery overlaps with the one of Ian's gift for his Beth. He is set on a particular necklace that used to be in a museum but it was stolen and he is trying to get ahold of it. His children

I love the Mackenzie's, every single book. A Mackenzie Yuletide is a short story that takes place in December 1898. It is a ghost mystery, and all the Mackenzie's are at Hart's castle . It is a fun read, and the children are growing with wonderful personalities. Ian, my favorite Mackenzie plays a large role. As do his 3 children. A Mackenzie clan gathering takes place in September 1892, and once again Ian is the main character. Also a mystery, a kidnapping m, an art theft, and more, Ian solves ...more

2 novellas centering around Ian

The first story centering on the winter holidays had a mystery and a ghost which were both a bit boring. Also nothing new regarding the Mackenzie family - everyone happy and perfect (even Ian is perfect in his uniqueness).

The second story taking place before Hart’s birthday and a few years before the first story also had a mystery which was a bit more satisfying. There was some personal introspection by Ian and a possible cure for his madness which was interesting.

So a one star review isn't really fair, but I preordered this book a few months ago and A Mackinzie Yuletide. There was nothing in the preorder notice that said this was the exact same book as the Yuletide book and the older Mackinzie Clan Gathering which I already own. I read Yuletide, then opened this one up only to realize I now had two copies of both books. The return window is closed because I waited too long to read them. I loved both stories, but IMHO this book is a complete rip-off.

This is 2 stories that crossover into two of Jennifer Ashley's series. The Mackenzies # 8.5 and The McBrides # 11.5. Both can be read as stand alones. I'm not a big historic romance reader but these were fun reads. Set in 1898 in Scotland there is a ghost to hunt and a kidnapping to solve. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I won an ARC of this book from the author and really enjoyed it! It was great to be immersed back into the world of this series and I think anyone who has read this series will be pleased. There are two stories and I read both of them in one sitting because I was engrossed.

I always enjoy visiting with the Mackenzies. This story masterfully includes all of the principals in the storyline without appearing strained. A must read for fans of the series.

I tried, but there really can’t be any more said about these characters. It’s time to retire the series.
