In the Crossfire is the fourth book in the Circle of Justice series but can be read as a standalone if you haven't already enjoyed the previous novels. The book follows Bryce Chandler as he goes undercover in the Corsino family in order to eliminate one of his targets. But in doing so, he also gets close to Layla and has a major change of plans.

Bryce and Layla's story was one crazy ride. I was left guessing almost the entire time and was not su

This book kept me on my toes for the most part. It has its ups and downs and the ups definitely kept me interested. FBI agent falling for his Mafia mark's daughter, who would of thought? Their love for each other is genuine and pure and they both would do anything to protect each other. I loved how the author's writing made it so easy for me to picture everything I was reading. The attention to detail was on point.

I hope to be able to read more about Bryce and Layla in the future and

Another amazing read by L.P that I absolutely couldn’t stop reading. The connection between Layla and Bryce was undeniable. I liked everything about this book, the characters, the story and especially the twists that I didn’t see coming.

In the Crossfire is the fourth book in the Circle of Justice series. Each book can be read as standalone in the series. I started from the beginning and have enjoyed each of them. If you read the previous books then you know Bryce Chandler. And now he is Bryce Collman. A killer. A man part of one of the most feared Mafia families from the past.

Bryce was New York to take out his mark, Anthony Corsino. Mafia boss and a man who is high on the FBI list who need to be taken out. He though

WOWSIE. I can’t believe I haven’t read any of the others. I love Romantic Suspense and this fulfilled my suspense loving heart. This is not my first LP Dover book...more like my 9th or 10th. She never disappoints and always leaves me wanting even more.

Bryce Chandler is deep undercover for the Circle of Justice, under the name Bryce Collman to his enemies. While in New York he gets the opportunity to meet with the elusive mob boss Anthony Corsino, who has been on the to be killed list for some t

The Circle of Justice Series by L.P. Dover is absolutely amazing, and I truly have enjoyed each and every one of the stand-alone stories of each of the Chandler brothers, and I am so glad we finally got to read Bryce’s story!

Bryce’s story overlaps a little with Ian’s story which is Aim, but you can read them without having to read the other. Bryce is about to get deep undercover to take down a mob boss, and none of his family is happy about it, it’s a dang

YES!! The entire series has been great but all the little kernels left about Bryce made me dying to read his story. Finally we get to see what happened to him when he was undercover. Great suspense with just the right amount of romance in this one.

Bryce should not want Layla. She is his charge to protect and daughter of the man he intends to take down. But the heart being such a fickle organ, doesn't get the message. They are both drawn to each other and when Layla needs to go into h

He's an FBI agent and a trained assassin for the Circle of Justice.
Bryce Chandler is the biggest mystery out of the Chandler family. He has been undercover in NYC for over a year. Why you ask, for two reasons. 3 members of the Corsino family are on th Circle's kill list. The other reason is because the FBI wants to take the family down. Bryce is really good at his job and he has figured out a way in to the inner circle...What he didn't figure on was Layla Corsino. She beautiful and she's Anthon

I've loved every book in the Circle of Justice series and was so curious about Bryce after reading Aim. This book packs a ton of suspense. I was on the edge of my seat quite a few times, biting my nails and hoping that everyone makes it through.

The twist in this book was *really* over top. It took the story from maybe possible to this only happens in soap operas but I still loved the story. Bryce and Layla were perfect for each other, even though everything seemed to be stacked against them.

I was given an advance readers copy of this book and have decided to write a voluntary honest review. This is the first book of this series I have read. And now I know I need to Read the rest. Bryce wow the man oozes power, confidence, courage and strength not mention he's easy on the eyes and you call tell he's a ladies man. It's always the quiet ones that are the most surprising under the sheets lol. Now layla is different story I thought for sure she would be snob but she's so down to earth I ...more

"One of my favourite lines in this book was “yeah I shot him” she was so casual about it and it was honestly my favourite thing. Like once you get to the part where this book you will understand this comment totally. But I love it.

Another one of my favourite lines “Smack the shit out of him for being a dick” that’s Layla’s line and I love it."

Bryce Chandler is a member of the Circle of Justice, a cover organization of the FBI, who deals with criminals who seem able to get away with crimes that the justice system can't get them for. Basically, they're like really cool snipers as their lists only contain the really bad guys who can get off on loopholes or pay off people. All of the Circle of Justice books can be read as stand-alone books, but if you have read the others, you will recognize Bryce from the sneak peeks you get in Aim. Holy Firecracker! In The Crossfire was one suspenseful read. I go through my phases where I really want a book that keeps me on the edge of my seat, one that is dark and dangerous, and this one had all the above. I have read L.P. Dover before, but nothing from this series or nothing pertaining to anything close to this trope. L.P. Dover has some dope skills. The writing is flawless and done with such great detail, that it made it easy for me to start and not stop until the words ' The End ' were ...more

This is the fourth book in the Circle of Justice series. It is a standalone and you won't be lost if this is where you start. Bryce's brothers don't play a huge role in this story and neither do their stories. You won't be lost by starting here. But you will want to go back and read the rest of the books.

Bryce is pretending to be from an old prominent mafia family that disappeared a long time ago. They haven't been heard from since, so it's easy for him to pretend and get others to believe him.

Couldn't stand Bryce. Thought he was a selfish asshole and his family forgave him way too easily after he 1) abandoned them without a word, because 2) he fell in love with the daughter of his target, so he basically forsakes his job and morals because he can't "hurt her," regardless that her dad's a fucking monster, so he doesn't do shit and just shacks up with her. Oh, and he apparently doesn't miss his family and is cool with maybe never seeing them again for the girl. Ugh. Oh yeah, and h ...more
