O Lado Difícil das Situações Difíceis

Rate this book
This might be an excellent book for those who are (or want to be) an executive manager: it's full of stories about Ben's career, tips / suggestions / orientations about how to handle hard things on the executive life, etc. For me it wasn't that good because this is not my career path, but I suspect that if I was I would love to read this book. The advices are really good and they are full of examples of Ben's own decisions or stories that he heard from others.

Still, if you're not an executive manager, this book can be a good source of knowledge for you. The first part of the book, where Ben describes his path to create a company until selling it to HP, is very very interesting. I would love to read more of those stories, so I was a little bit frustrated when I realised most of the book was not focused on that. I was enjoying a lot the reading, which is not what usually happens when I read books about careers, managing, etc.

During the second part of the book, I could enjoy a few of the sub-chapters, but mostly they were so far away from my day-to-day reality that it was hard to imagine what I would do with that content.

Do I recommend this book to other people? It depends. If you're (or plans to be) an executive manager, ABSOLUTELY! If you are not, hum, maybe just read the chapters with the story of Ben's career, and select which sub-chapters you would be curious about on the following parts.

We still remembered the first who handshaked. Friendly matches happened in Saudi Arabia. Peace be upon him. There is no God, but Allah SWT. Ahlussunnah wal jama'ah.
