This anthology is currently free on all retailers but only for a limited time so grab it while you can if you’re a fan of ménage / threesome romances.

I’ve already read Theirs to Take by Laura Kaye and can recommend this collection for that story alone. Looking forward to trying the others too though!

IDK... I've read the Blue/Hannah prequel via an anthology and I hated it. In fact, that was the story that made me DNF the anthology. Blue and Hannah's lives are super fucked up and super tragic. I am not into reading Romance for the super fucked up and the tragic. Hannah has been sexually abused since the word "Go" and God bless... it was a tragic mess.

I never read their actual book. I can only imagine Hannah's life became shitton worse (and that's the impression from this short) before Blue came back.

This story... it makes me feel better to get some kind of resolution to Blue & Hannah's story from before. But damn its depressing how broken Hannah is. I like to read books that have me smiling by the end. Hannah & Blue are just depressing. I root for them but damn. Not. Fun.

I think, for me, the worse part is that now I have the beginning and the end...I do want to read the middle. And I am going try my best to not read it cause it'll make me depressed. But I will eventually read it and then I'll become depressed as all shit. Then spend weeks if not months dragging myself out of said mental state. OCD is real, people.

Theirs to Take by Laura Kaye 4 stars
This was fun! I enjoyed almost everything...

...except the club scene (boring) and the short pages given to Cruz's family issues. I'll try her again.

Their Runaway Bride by Vanessa Vale (DNF)
1. I've read this before
2. I don't like how Vanessa Vale writes relationships.

This was a really great Anthology. I mean it’s full of threesomes so of course it is! You get 3 VERY different takes on a common theme. A Little dark, little hot & little HR. I will be definitely checking out the new to me author again.

I received an arc of this book.

As with every anthology ever published, not all stories are created equal and therefore it's hard to give an accurate star rating to them as a whole. I didn't love all three stories.

(ONE STAR) Skye Warren's, Even Better, started off ok and had promise but ended up as a total letdown. First off, no where in the blurb was it mentioned that this is part of a series and the characters are from a series. The girl, Hannah, is with Blue. Apparently they were foster siblings? Ok. That was fine. But then when the past got brought up and feelings got involved I was instantly lost. Without reading the previous story about them it didn't make a bit of sense. And West, the other guy in this threesome. What happens to him? He get a show and then a bj and then what? That's not threesome relationship material. That was experimenting. There was zero connection between any of these characters. No depth just rough sex I felt was demeaning, and dominance from Blue. And what's with chapter 15!? That last chapter, it was a doozy. It opened up a whole new side of the story and it just ended!! Talk about a cliffhanger! There was no way an HEA for this story. There was a bit of the relationship moving forward between Blue and Hannah, but definitely not with West. Also, in the end, the author thanks us for reading about Blue and Lola. Who the heck is Lola!!?? I seriously had to wrack my brain on that one. Oooooh! Lola is Hannah's stripper name. But as we never saw her strip or in Lola's character she was always Hannah to me. See? Totally lost. Sorry, but I'd skip this story unless you've read all the others from the series in which this short falls. And having not read any of the author's other work and sampling this, I can't say I'm impressed enough to try anything else.

(FIVE STARS) Laura Kaye's, Theirs to Take, was awesome! The characters, Hartley, Jonathan, and Cruz, had a backstory and were developed enough to relate to them. It was an actual STORY and not just about sex. Although, their sex scenes were amazing and not repetitious or gratuitous. They mentioned owning a BDSM club and slowly gravitated the audience in that direction so I don't feel it was a shocker to have a scene in the club. I was so happy when Cruz and Jonathan were able to work out their feelings for each other and move on with that and include Hartley. I really liked this one and having never read any of the author's other work, my interest is piqued. (Again, I didn't know this was part of a series until I got to the end and read the author's notes. But the story held up on its own so I wasn't even upset!)

(FOUR STARS) Their Runaway Bride from Vanessa Vale was interesting. The historical aspect of it kept me interested because I've never really thought too much about threesomes in that era. Ann is just kind of cute with her naivety but is quickly schooled in all things two men can do for her, with her, and to her. Butt plugs included. And that made me chuckle! I did love how Andrew and Robert became her protectors and I'm dying to know more about their future. You just know a baby has to be on the way because protection was not even an option. (But yay for butt plugs and lube! Ha!) After reading the first two stories and finding out they were part of a series I kind of assumed this story would be also. And I was right. So yeah, I'll be searching out the other stories in this series.

I am not a fan of this genre. Every so often, I try to read different books and authors in this genre to see if my tastes have changed. Unfortunately, they have not. So far, I could only handle one of the three stories, only because the sweet romance between Hartley, Cruz and Jonathan made their story easier for me to read and finish. The others were a bit much for my tastes. Nothing against the authors and their stories, the interest was just not there for me to continue.

THEIRS TO TAKE by Laura Kaye
Hartley Farren owns a charting sailing business. When a hurricane damages her boat, she searches for someone to repair it. Luck shines on Hartley. She meets Jonathan Allen by chance. He and his partner agree to repair the damages. Hartley never imagined she could ever be attracted to two guys at once.

Jonathan “Jay” Allen and Cruz Ramos are Master Dominants at the BDSM club Blasphemy. They also own a shop that builds and restores boats. After meeting Hartley, Jay believes she’s the woman he and Cruz had been looking for, someone to share their lifestyle with. They accept the job to fix her boat so they can get to know the sweet and open-minded female.
First, I like the uniqueness of Hartley’s name. My heart went out to Cruz and his unrequited love for his best friend and Dominant brother Jonathan. I like how Hartley is the catalyst of opening Jonathan’s eyes to what was between him and Cruz. But I especially love how Hartley and Jonathan proclaimed Crus their family after he finally came out to his family and their negative reaction to the news.

THEIRS TO TAKE is book three in Laura Kaye’s erotic/BDSM series, BLASPHEMY.

EVEN BETTER by Skye Warren

I really struggled to connect with Blue, West, or the heroine. That hindered my ability to get into the story.

I just could not keep interest in the story line. And no, the fact that the story is written in first-person did not bother me. It did take me a while to get accustomed to the author’s voice ( which is normal for me when I read stories written in first person).

The heroine – despite snippets of her background – just felt weak-willed for my tastes. She is not the type of heroine that I like in the books I read. I did like the fact she looked after one of her foster mothers, the one who had acted like a mother-figure. Other than that, I just was not a fan of her personality.

Blue – I just could not find him sexy or hot. I did like how he took care of the heroine and looked after her. He just came off too controlling and domineering for my tastes.
As I mentioned, erotica is not a genre I like. I do try to read different authors and books to see if they could be the exception.

* I should also note that I thought the Laura Kaye story would belonged to her other series - the non BDSM- and jumped the gun. Had I paid attention enough to see this belonged to her erotica series, I would never have gotten the book for review. My error. Not the authors.

Definitely Not For Me.

2 Stars.

Book #1 is by an author I used to read but no longer do.
Book #2 I made it to chapter 7 but wanted to give up long before that. Super boring. All talk no show. No action. Just a lot of yakking for over 6 chapters. Short book of about 170 pages and it will put you to sleep.
Book #3 was worse than #2. I didn't make it as far as I did in the 2nd book. It was THAT boring! In fact this author has been added to my rejected shelf.

All in all, the entire bundle is a major disappointment.

THREE OF A KIND is an anthology of erotic romance, and you have a little bit of everything: contemporary romance with Laura Kaye, dark romance with Skye Warren, and historical romance with Vanessa Vale. I chose to post the individual reviews in order of preference, starting with THEIRS TO TAKE by Laura Kaye, which I had previously read and is my favourite story of the three.

THEIRS TO TAKE by Laura Kaye

Hartley Farren’s father died three years ago and left her his charter business, it’s her whole life. When a hurricane hits Baltimore, her precious catamaran is badly damaged. She has to get it repaired as soon as possible, and at the marina, she meets Jonathan Allen who, with his partner Cruz Ramos, owns A&R Builds and Restoration, and they will repair her boat quickly. And those two guys are so good-looking… Jonathan is attracted to Hartley, so is Cruz, but Cruz has been attracted to Jonathan for years and never said a word because he doesn’t want to jeopardise their long friendship, and surely Jonathan wouldn’t feel the same way? Jonathan and Cruz are both Masters at Blasphemy, the BDSM club, they have shared women, but Hartley seems special, but would she accept both of them?

Obviously, THEIRS TO TAKE being an erotic romance, it would be hot, but wow! What I had not expected however was the very sweet romance between Jonathan, Cruz and Hartley. And they were Doms, but so caring and nice; I’m not usually crazy about the whole Dom thing, but those two were really special. And there’s the sex, but the love between the three of them was fabulous and felt very real. I also love the “boating” atmosphere, the visuals were amazing. Cruz had a heartbreaking backstory, and I hope we get to know a bit more in the future. Cruz was hot but Jonathan, oh my! I almost melted in a puddle just reading about him!

THEIRS TO TAKE is short, super sexy, and very sweet! Another excellent read by Laura Kaye who never ceases to surprise me!

THEIR RUNAWAY BRIDE by Vanessa Vale

Ann Geary’s father Thomas demands that she marry a vile toad of a man to further his business endeavours. The wedding will take place on a ship, where Thomas knows his daughter cannot escape her groom. Robert and Andrew are soldiers, and they want to share a wife – as they have seen done in Mohamir. They had both noticed the lovely Ann, they knew she was the one, and when a most unexpected event occurs, it’s as if destiny had made their wish a reality.

I had not expected the third story to be a historical romance, and it was quite a treat! Even within the confines of a novella, the characters’ backstories were solid, the environment well detailed, and the very appealing main characters were fully fleshed out – and Geary père was suitably repugnant. The set-up is very clever and convincing under the circumstances; there was no instalove but respect and affection, which I very much appreciated. The story flowed smoothly and the writing elegant and crisp. THE RUNAWAY BRIDE is very steamy, yet it is sweet, and so very cute! Vanessa Vale was a new author to me, and I was suitably impressed with her skills.

EVEN BETTER by Skye Warren

This one was a tad problematic for me, and I understood why afterwards. This short novella actually comes between two books – Better When It Hurts and Pretty When You Cry. Not having read the first book explained why I felt a bit lost, although I’m quite intrigued by Hannah’s friend Candy, whose story is Pretty When You Cry. My favourite parts of the novella were those where Candy was present, and I enjoyed very much her interactions with Hannah. So without preamble, the reader is thrown into the sexy times, and I was rather confused as I didn’t know who these people were. They are barely described physically, and although we do get some background story, I couldn’t picture them, except for Candy for some odd reason.

EVEN BETTER is a dark romance, and not a triad but what it seems like a temporary threesome. In spite of the hero Blue’s luxurious condo, the atmosphere is a little seedy; Hannah, the heroine, had worked in a strip club and Blue is in charge of the security. This is a story of broken people, and while there is no doubt about consent, I found it a little disturbing, as I was not expecting it. I am not a habitual reader of dark romance, so it was a little bit of a shock, especially not having known about the context beforehand. While I understood perfectly well that one cannot have everything laid out in a novella, I felt it needed a bit of fleshing out.

Even though I found Skye Warren's story a bit weak, the other two novellas are strong enough to warrant five stars overall.

EVEN BETTER by Skye Warren
1.5 star
didn't like this one at all; didn't connect with the characters, and then it turned out to be part of a longer piece of work, so it didn't actually resolve at all. really dislike when authors put a portion of a book in as a novella.

THEIRS TO TAKE by Laura Kaye
4 stars
enjoyed this one the most, and it was the longest, so my overall review is weighted towards this one. the characters belong to a series, but this could be read as a standalone (I was unfamiliar with the series). some rapport and relationship was established among the three characters in addition to the steam. I also really liked that it was a triad and not just a threesome.

ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
The is a very fast paced quick read.
This is the story on how Ann meet Andrew + Robert.
The beginning of "Bridgewater"
The story was smoking hot.
Ann was traveling w/ her father + Mr. Atherton.
She was to be "married / sold " to Mr Atherton.
Instead she decided to get married to somebody else.
Andrew + Robert knew that they would be sharing a bride.
Ann was a little hesitant at first. It was just not done.
Andrew + Robert just had to change her mind + show her the benefits of having 2 husbands.
Great ending!

Fail

First book started a new story with new characters and left on a major cliff hanger for them without saying definitely not and HAE. Second book started off amazing til it suddenly started on S+M without warning in the blurb. Third one I couldn’t get into it at all. Not stand alone at all.

I've enjoyed many books by Skye Warren and Laura Kaye, which was why my interested piqued at the though of reading Three of a Kind. Vanessa Vale is new to me, but I do love historical romance, so I'm eager to read her contribution to this anthology.

I'll review each book as I finish and if my rating changes as I finish each book, I'll update that too. First up:

Even Better by Skye Warren

Skye starts things off with a bang, literally. Hannah and Blue are tangled in the sheets and we are whisked into their world. We immediately feel some of the pain Hannah has endured in her lifetime as she basks in the attention from Blue while she remembers pieces of her past. The title Three of a Kind does have a theme, and Skye does give us some steamy MMF action along the way.

I always love the way Skye writes dark romance. Her females are strong, no matter what they have went through, but they still have insecurities and rely on their dominant men to stand by their side. Her characters always have a past that intrudes on their present and may even write the path to their future. She loves to tell a story that makes you think and wonder. She has done this again with Even Better. All the characters are troubled in some way, but together, they are better versions of themselves. Together they give each other what they need to calm the beast and heal.

While I enjoyed the story, I often felt like a missed a chapter. Something felt off. Like I was dropped in the middle of their world left spinning and trying to figure out where I was. When I got the end, I was surprised it was over. This is when I realized, perhaps I should have read the book that comes before Even Better. Maybe then I would have gotten a better connection with the characters and understood them.

This was a good novella but I do feel the enjoyment would be heightened by reading Better When It Hurts first. It's too late for me now but maybe not for you.

Three of a kind: a threesome anthology with books from author Skye Warren, Laura Kaye and Vanessa Vale is a heartfelt combination of men and women who all want one thing: to believe that each of them is enough. In EVEN BETTER by Skye Warren, two hot ex-military men, Blue and West, and Hannah, an ex-stripper come together to help one another figure out what they want and who they are as individuals. Blue, owner of a high-class strip club and former foster brother of Hannah, his now live-in-girlfriend and former stripper have a love relationship that is rough, full of passion and need. Hannah grew up in foster homes and was abused and became a prostitute so she could survive. She sent Blue away from her when she was younger to save him. Blue still is not over how Hannah was treated in the past and how he even treated her. He loves her and it tortured by his past, just as she is by her past. West, Blue’s ex-military friend moves in with them and he is troubled because he just got out of the military and does not know any other life so he feels lonely and lost. The three of them together come together through friendhip, sex and passion to figure out where each of them belongs. They succeed and my heart was happy for them.
In THEIRS TO TAKE by Laura Kaye, Jonathan and Cruz, two former Navy military, best friends and business partners who also are Dominants at the exclusive BDSM Blasphemy Club, want to find a woman to dominate together. Hartley, a female charter sailing business owner who has not had a love life since she took over her late father’s charter business, meets Jonathan and Cruz who agree to fix her catamaran and save her livelihood. During this process, the three of them discover how much they like each other, want each other and fit together. Jonathan and Cruz discover a side to their relationship neither expressed to each other before, and this was something I only suspected in the beginning of the book. Jonathan loved women too, and wanted to please them by being dominant. Cruz loved women, and was troubled by his family’s religious beliefs regarding sex and marriage. Hartley suspected she was a submissive but had never made love with two men together. The loving way the three of them got to know each other, showed their vulnerability and accepted one another, made me want to read this book a second time. The three of them fixing the damaged boat together, also “fixed” how each of them accepted their sex lives. Acceptance. The three of them had to learn that they were perfect for one another and I loved their adventures!
Their Runaway Bride by Vanessa Vale is the first book I have read of hers. I liked that her book is set in an earlier century. Meet Ann, a daughter of a wealthy man who is supposed to get married to a man who she does not like, barely knows, and in three hours, all to further her father’s wealth. Her father threatened her with physical force by bruising her wrist to show what would happen if she did not marry the man he chose. Meet military men Robert and Andrew, who wanted to love and marry one woman, a Mohamir custom, where a man marries one woman and both of the men love and cherish and protect her for the rest of their lives together. They saw Ann on the ship and loved her from a distance. They thought they would meet her once their ship docked and court her then. Chance changed all their lives. Ann ran away from her father’s cabin and ended up knocking on Robert’s door, while he was taking a bath. This is where the humor in Vale’s writing really shows. Here is a naked man and a properly raised woman who is trying to NOT look at naked Robert and then out from another door in the cabin comes Andrew, dressed in his uniform. After being assured that they will not hurt her, she tells them she is safer with the both of them than with her father. Both Andrew and Robert go into protective military mode when her father knocks on their door and from that moment on, Ann was as good as married to Andrew. Ann does admit she had noticed Robert and Andrew on the ship and admired their physical attributes, much to her dismay. She daydreamed about having even one of them want her. Now here she was with both of them and was about to be married. After the ship’s captain was summoned to their rooms and she was married to Andrew, she realized that just their voice in her ear aroused her. The next two days on the ship in their cabin were ones of discovery for Ann, Robert and Andrew, as they showed her how they both, as her husbands, would love, cherish, protect and claim her, and that they just wanted her. Ann had to learn about being physically loved and accepting that it was right and good to enjoy being loved by both her husbands. While they all just met, Ann agreeing to marry them and showing interest in their touch, their words and their actions, certainly showed hope that they would all find love together. The tender way they taught Ann about sex, was both touching and funny. She learned that she was the center of their world. When they were leaving the ship, and encountered Ann’s father, I loved the way Andrew and Robert protected her and handled her father! I all but cheered! Ann even stood up to her father! I loved it when Ann admitted that she wanted everything they were. Great ending…left me smiling.

THREE SIZZLING HOT MENAGE NOVELLAS

I love anthologies because it is a wonderful way to read new authors or authors you already enjoy. With ‘Three of a Kind,’ you get a nice sampling of three stories by three talented ladies. Each story has a little mystery and suspense, plenty of spice, and explicit sex scenes that include ménage. Each of these stories was previously released.

EVEN BETTER by Skye Warren
I THINK I’M GOING TO CLAIM YOU

The story is part of the Stripped series and is a forbidden romance. The story actually follows the book, Better When it Hurts, but I was able to read and enjoy it as a single novella and follow along. Blue and Hannah, whose stage name was Lola, are together. They knew each other as foster children, were separated, and have found each other again.

The plot will have them living together, and Hannah carries emotional scars from abandonment during her years as a foster child. She turned to stripe as a way to help an elderly lady, the only one who was kind to hear as a foster mother. But she is no longer stripping, and wonders when the bottom will fall out and Blue is over her. But what happens when West, another soldier that Blue served with shows up?

“Our bodies are connected in the most intimate way, our lives intertwined.”

The story deals with trust and abandonment issues, PTSD, BDSM, voyeurism and even ménage. Can Blue and Hannah help West with his nightmares? What happens when Blue shares Hannah with West?

“How much am I worth to you? Do you love me enough to hold me tight? Do you trust me enough to share me too?”

THEIRS TO TAKE by Laura Kaye
TO OUR NEW FRIENDSHIP THEN—THE THREE OF US

First of all, let me say, this story was so sizzling hot that I think I saw my Kindle smoking! OMG, I loved the characters and interaction between Jonathan, Cruz, and Hartley. The story will bring the three together after a hurricane, and another boat damages her catamaran, and she needs it repaired within three weeks. Meeting Jonathan, and his best friend and partner, Cruz, owners of A&R boat repair.

“Consider our door open to you, Hartley. Day or night. All you have to do is walk through it.”

Jonathan and Cruz are also part owners and dominant masters of a BDSM club called Blasphemy. Two men who have served in the Navy together, run two business together and even scene together, but each has secrets—secrets that Hartley will help unlock and between the three of them, it is an erotic dance into new experiences.

“What if I’m open to anything? I want what the three of us had last night, in and out of bed, “Jonathan said without hesitation.” The openness, the emotion, the connection—all of it. No more holds barred.”

As an avid reader of over 700 books per year, this novella had some of the hottest, most intense, and beautiful erotic scenes that will include an introduction into ménage and BDSM for Hartley, as well as two friends who will experience MM scenes together with Hartley present, encouraging and supporting.

“As far as I’m concerned, we’re together. In any way. In every way. All of us, equally. We’re all at the center at one time or another. You were the one who brought Cruz and I together at the start, remember?”

THEIR RUNAWAY BRIDE by Vanessa Vale
IT WAS DARK AND CARNAL AND DIRTY AND NAUGHTY, BUT I LIKED IT

The story is part of the historical Bridgewater Menage Series.
Robert and Andrew were returning to the US after a military tour to Egypt, along with another group of soldiers returning from Mohamir where the custom was two men with one woman. Anne is nothing more than a pawn to her father, forcing a marriage to Mr. Atherton to merge his railroad with her father’s land holdings. Determined not to be used, she escapes right into the cabin of Robert and Andrew and agrees to marry them and move with them to Montana Territory to a new area called Bridgewater.

“How could I choose? While they looked so different, I was attracted to them equally.” “A husband’s job is to love her, cherish her, protect her, possess her and claim her.”

The plot will have Anne needing to escape and Robert and Andrew wanting to take a wife, together. The story is an M-F-M relationship.

This story is part of the Bridgewater Menage series, but each story in that series is a standalone book. Bridgewater is a secluded and private town in the Montana Territory that will be inhabited by a group of people who live a polyamorous lifestyle. One woman for two, and even sometimes three men. An anthology of threesomes?!? Sign me up! And some of my favorite authors! I can't get started fast enough!

Even Better by Skye Warren:
I picked this story up as part of an anthology, having not read anything by this author before. Honestly, I'm coming into this story completely blind. (I did go back and read the blurbs of the other stories in the series before I got started, so I kind of knew what the series was about) This story is a novella, and unlike the other novellas in this anthology, Three of a Kind, it is not a complete story. It is more of a glimpse into the lives of the characters, that just so happens to involve a threesome (!)

Blue and Hannah are already an established couple. But they both have their own issues that they are still working on. Since this story is told from Hannah's POV, we get more of her than we do of Blue. Hannah seems to be a very sweet, giving person. And as amazing as her relationship with Blue is, her past isn't all roses and champagne. She has a huge self esteem problem, and isn't exactly sure where her life is going. She is the kind of character that readers will easily connect with.

This novella, despite not being a full story, was really great. I was pulled in from the very beginning, and quickly became immersed in their world. Even though I've not read the rest of the series, or even the rest of Blue and Hannah's story, I was able to follow along with very little problem. The story was very hot, but still there was a lot of sweet to balance that out. It definitely tells me I need to go back and read the rest of the series, because if this novella is so awesome, I can only imagine how fantastic the rest of the series is!

Theirs to Take by Laura Kaye:
This book is part of the Blasphemy series by Laura Kaye, involving Masters Jonathan and Cruz. Best friends that gave been through the Navy together and now are partners in their business together. They meet Hartley following a hurricane that caused damage to the boat that is her livelihood. There is an immediate attraction, for both the men and Hartley.

This book is full of emotional turmoil and personal confusion, feelings, and love. They each have questions that they have to answer about themselves before they can move on with their relationship. Their emotions bring out the feelings of the reader, and had me glued from the first page. I've enjoyed each book in the series, but this one seems to focus more on the relationship, and less on the BDSM factor (Its there, don't get me wrong, but its just not the focus).

Hartley is such a strong woman, but feels things so intensely! She has a positive outlook, doesn't stop until she gets things done. Jonathan is much the same way, just seems to be biding his time until things work out how he wants them too. Cruz, on the other hand, has a darker outlook on life, possibly because of his religious upbringing. Together, they make this book AMAZING!

Our Runaway Bride by Vanessa Vale
A menage romance set in the "wild west"? Where do I sign up! This story was fun, naughty, and just different enough that I couldn't resist reading it!

Ann is a naive girl, who has found herself in a sticky situation. Brought up by her father, after her mother's death, she has been told she has to marry a man she has no desire to. She wants love, and romance, and has instead been given to her father's business associate. What's a girl to do? Run away, of course! But Ann is on a ship, with limited places to hide.

Robert and Andrew are US military, coming home from Africa, to resign their commission. They plan to build a home, and take a wife together, modeling their life after those of a small African Country. When they spot Ann, there is an immediate connection, and they want to "woo" her. Little do they know that she is going to literally fall into their laps!

This story was so fun! And HOT! Take a quirky menage, add in a little BDSM, and you have a recipe for a story that will grab the readers! I loved the immediate connection between the characters, as well as the unlikely setting. This is a fabulous beginning to what promises to be an awesome series!

Three of a Kind is a collection of romances that all center around the idea of two dominant men with one lucky lady! Each story is unique, every one with their own emotional story to tell, and all of them delightfully steamy!

Even Better by Skye Warren - Blue and Hannah have an intense relationship, but Hannah has some major insecurities and Blue wants to possess and love her. When his military buddy comes home, he joins in on their romance, but is three a crowd, or can they make this new dynamic work? This was definitely an intense story, and not the first one in Blue and Hannah’s storyline (but can still be read alone). Hannah had some issues due to her past, but I loved that she just wanted to help and was really great with people. Blue was dominant, knew his girl in all ways, and I loved how in tune to her needs and issues he was most of the time. The dynamic with West was really hot to add to their relationship, and I’m really curious to see what the future of the three of them might hold!

Theirs to Take by Laura Kaye - Hartley just weathered a storm, but her boat and livelihood may not. Jonathan and Cruz agree to help fix her boat in their free time and get to know Hartley. While she seems like the perfect girl for them, would she be willing to love their dominant natures? Ohhh, I just loved this romance! There was so much love and acceptance in these pages, and I loved how big and open Hartley’s heart was for her two men. She really drew these two best friends together in every way and I loved how this book flowed! Jonathan and Cruz has a few things to work out between them, and I thought it was heartwarming that Cruz felt like he might be left behind, but I fell in love with how Hartley helped Cruz. This was a very sensual book that invoked a lot of emotions, and by the end of the book, I just felt so happy with how everything played out!

Their Runaway Bride by Vanessa Vale - Ann is facing an arranged business marriage to someone she hates, so she runs to hide. She runs into Robert’s room for safe keeping, thinking it’s empty, and is shocked to find two men she’s been drawn to. Andrew and Robert decide right then and there to save her by wedding and claiming her, but what will happen when her father finds out? This is the beginning to an amazing series that I’ve read multiple times! I love Ann! She’s so sweet, charming, and innocent, and I love how well her two men protect and open her eyes to passion and romance. Andrew and Robert are fiercely protective, dominant, and show Ann a different side of men - one of care and respect. I love the three of them together and I love their budding romance!

Review for THEIRS TO TAKE by Laura Kaye

4 1/2 STARS!

Kaye certainly knows how to meld an ordinary man into a scorchingly sexy hero! If you’ve been following along with this series, you will recognize Jonathan & Cruz from small appearances in previous books. They are sexy hot dominates who are 2 of the 12 Masters that opened up Baltimore’s hottest BDSM club Blasphemy. They are best friends and like to share their women. This is the first book in the series to kind of let us get to know the characters outside of the club predominantly, and it was fun! We got a delicious feel for them as the people they are outside of the dominate world before we saw the gently controlling side of them. The plot brought a couple of family issues to light that definitely could have been developed more to make it a more rounded story, and these two guys are not nearly as demanding as some of the other Doms we’ve encountered in the series, but they were fun and sweet and tender … and you have to love them! Overall a great read!

Hartley Farren is in a panic when her catamaran is damaged due to a storm. That boat is her livelihood, and if she’s going to make the commitments she has promised, she needs to get it fixed ASAP! When luck puts her in the tracks of Jonathan Allen, she finds out he’s a boat restorer with his partner Cruz Ramos and sweet talks him into taking a look at the work she needs done.

Jonathan is an easy going fun loving type of guy who enjoys bantering with a pretty lady, so he can’t resist giving Hartley a hand when he can see how worried she is about her boat. He convinces Cruz that they should help her .. and doesn’t deny that he’s majorly attracted to her!

Cruz is the more serious of the two and worries about their own deadlines when Jay brings Hartley and her boat problems to his attention, but he can tell how much Jonathan wants to help her, and he finds it hard to resist him anything … so here they are … working all hours of the day and night on her boat with her by their side helping as much as possible. When she finds out they are dominates and like to share their women, she’s highly curious … and just might talk herself into going for what she wants … both of them!

Even Better by Skye Warren

Blue takes in one of his oldest friends with he and Lola, West, as a guest when he discharges from Military service.

This couples relationship is built on her need for dominance and possession and Blue's need for Lola in all ways at all times.

West is a kinder, gentler man who has demons riding him that come to fore one night and trigger the beginning of what becomes a necessity for all three of them to keep the men sane as well as Lola happy.

Theirs to Take by Laura Kaye

Best friends Jonathan Allen and Cruz Ramos have known each other for over 20 years and are business partners as well as Masters/Part Owners of a BDSM.

When a storm wrecks a neighboring boat loose from it's slips into her Catamaran Hartley Farren needs help fast to restore her beloved sailing vessel as it provides her livelihood as well as pleasure of it's use.

Jonathan and Cruz decide that they will take on the restoration of her boat, working in their off hours after the contracted work is done for the day, so she will have it back within her 3 week time frame.

Work and pleasure blur resulting in a formerly unheard of, but not unwished for, deeper alliance between the men with Hartley the catalyst for the change and the glue holding the three together as a united unit.

Their Runaway Bride by Vanessa Vale

On a ship sailing home from Egypt after Robert and Andrew have served their last military tour the pair find themselves intrigued by a beautiful young woman when they spy her on deck with her father and his business associate.

Ann is a lady of breeding and privilege whose strict father leaves no stone unturned to keep her in check when she would love to be free in indulging her tendency towards helpfulness to those in need and other things of the like he disproves of her doing.

The honest and forthright men come to her rescue when she finds herself in desperation escaping from a forced marriage to the man her father has chosen and she despises as well as fears.

New beginnings and acceptance are the theme for all three of these menage stories.

As others have said the middle tale is actually the most well rounded and the most enjoyable when all of them have been read to their conclusions.

Even Better by Skye Warren

This is a nice slice of life for Blue and Hannah from Better When It Hurts. It introduces Blue's friend West. West and Blue like to watch it seems. You'll have to read it to find out.

Theirs to Keep by Laura Kaye

Welcome to the world of Blasphemy, a world of Dominants and Submissives.

This story takes place mostly outside the Club, and is about Master Jonathan and Master Cruz. Two men who love to do scenes together and the woman of their choice inside the club, but didn't realize they needed one to bring them love, outside the club.

Hartley, a fellow boat lover, needs their boat repair services. She had no idea that first day, but repairing her damaged boat would lead to a lasting relationship for the three of them. Opening their worlds and repairing their damaged hearts.

This story flows to it's natural conclusion, which is a Happily Ever After times three. It's also really HOT.

Their Runaway Bride by Vanessa Vale

This is the first story in her series, Bridgewater Menage series. It stars Ann, Andrew, and Robert. The men are veteran American soldiers returning from Africa, where the women have 2 husbands. These two men and four others they meet on a ship sailing to New York like that arrangement.

Andrew and Robert see Ann on the deck with her father and another man and are immediately attracted. They think that once they get to America, they'll find her, court her, and marry her together. Their plan goes out the window when Ann shows up in their cabin on her own as she's running from her father and his arranged marriage on the ship. Andrew agrees to marry her legally, but in reality, both men will be her husbands.

This is a HOT read, but there isn't enough character development for me and I really like character development.

These stories are good to introduce you to new authors and series, so excuse me if I go look for the rest of their books to buy and read.

I picked up this book because I'm such a fan of Laura Kaye's writing style. Her story, the second in the anthology, features Johnathan, Cruz, and Hartley (previously released as Theirs To Take). While I'm familiar with her Blasphemy series, I had somehow skipped over this particular story before. Such a mistake to have done that. The threesome proved to be intense in all the ways you want when you pick up an erotic romance. They had amazing chemistry and their emotional journey of acceptance gave my heart all the feels! I adored each of these characters and was thrilled to see them work together towards a future. I give this story five stars, for being emotionally driven, with a focus on love and acceptance! The super sexy times were (in my opinion) a nice bonus!

Even Better by Skye Warren: The first story in this anthology, by Skye Warren, gets a single star from me. Maybe it's because I'm not familiar with the characters Blue & Hannah, but I didn't feel an emotional connection with the pair at all. Also, it seemed more like it was just a scene or two from their lives. The ending was very abrupt and I kept re-reading to see if I was missing something.

The Runaway Bride by Vanessa Vale: This author is new-to-me and I really enjoyed the story. As soon as I was done, I one-clicked other stories in the Bridgewater series. It's an easy 4 star for me when an introduction to characters has me wanting more immediately. I really loved how protective Robert & Andrew are of Ann, and also how they introduce Ann to a world full of passion. I can't wait to continue with this series!

I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. While I didn't care for one story, I'd still recommend this anthology for fans of the genre. I give it a solid 4 stars.

*Their Runaway Bride - This is the beginning to the Bridgewater Series and it is a great start. Ann who is desperate to escape a quick business marriage arranged by her father ends up married to Robert and Andrew. The book is a quick read and a great introduction to the series. It would have been nice if the book were longer but I understand it is meant as an introduction. I loved the book, the action is fast paced and I would highly recommend it. I have all of the books in this series and they are well worth reading especially if you like the idea of two men and one woman. It doesn’t get much better than this series.
*Theirs To Take - Jonathan and Cruz are two long time friends who are masters/dominates at a BDSM that they are part owners of. They meet Hartley who responds to both of them and they enter into a three way relationship. Cruz and Jonathan have both secretly craved each other but have never acted on these feelings until Hartley tells them they are in this relationship on equal terms with each other. There is a HEA for the three of them. This is a great story to read and I enjoyed it very much.
*Even Better - Blue’s army buddy West arrives and is welcomed by both Blue and Hannah at their condo. West suffers from PTSD nightmares and is helped thru these attacks by Hannah and Blue as they start to develop a sexual relationship that is mutually satisfying to each of them. Hannah has her own issues having grown up in foster care and was sexually abused during this time. There is a HEA for these three individuals.

The “Three of a Kind” anthology is a collection of steamy and erotic stories from these best selling authors: Skye Warren, Laura Kaye and Vanessa Vale. The men are all sexy from a demanding security specialist, a pair of sexy former servicemen and finally, to two lonely soldiers on their way back to America after serving their country.

Even Better
Hannah is a former stripper who is involved with and controlled by her boyfriend, Blue. Until his old Army buddy West, comes to stay with them. Will his presence change the dynamics of their relationship?

Theirs to Take
Hartley is in desperate need of someone to repair her damaged boat, because she has to go back to work teaching boating classes and offering charter tours. She couldn’t find anyone willing to help her until she met Jonathan; who looked at her like he had seen an angel. Jonathan has a boat repair business with his best friend Cruz, and they agreed to repair her boat, hoping that their working relationship would lead to something more personal for all of them.

Their Runaway Bride
Ann is being forced, by her father, to marry a man who makes her skin crawl and she refuses to do it. She is on a ship traveling back to America and realizes her only choice is to seek solace somewhere else on the ship. She had no idea that she would run into two soldiers returning from the war, who offered to protect her and make all her dreams come true.

The authors have given us sensual stories about dominant men and the women who desire them. The characters are passionate about their feelings for each other and are determined to be together at all costs, because love is unexpected and always worth it.
