Very interesting and informative book. Perfect if you are looking for a simple guide, something easy and sometimes well documented (there are a few studies, especially the ones related to microbiome, which are very updated and well researched; however, there are also studies a little bit biased).

Even though the autor could have gone deeper in some topics, like the intake of fats and proteins or in general, diets to improve gut health (most of the time, the diet advice is centered in gut microbiome, which I find very interesting and very novel, but the general advice is very concise and conservative, in my opinion), I rated it with 5 stars because I consider it a nice book for the general public and even practicioners to have it like a very simple and handy manual to show to people, which reminds you the basics without delving into boring and technical nutrition advice. And also because it is showed in a holistic way, relating nutrition and gut health (centered in something so new as microbiome) with lifestyle factors, such as exercise or stress management, and that is something with which I couldn't agree more.

So if you simply want to improve your gut health without getting lost and confused with lots of technical information and difficult approaches, this is a good starting point.
