Fifth Round is the second book in The Renegade Dragons series, which will have you laughing from page one. Loved that we got another story with Lola and her harem - Hector, Rachel, Martin and Todd. This time their on an adventure to Spain, while they compete in another Realms&Rebel competition.
I highly recommend Fifth Round, and can’t wait to read what Laura Greenwood and Arizona Tape create in the Twin Souls Universe.

Lola and her fire dragon mates are in Spain for the biggest gaming tournament of their lives and they are in for a battle. Searching out their dragon history and facing the most challenging of rivals, the group still finds plenty of time to fit in some fun, flying, and good food.

Lola, Hector, Todd, Martin, and Rachel have got to be one of the more amusing casts of characters in any RH. Silly voices, light-hearted insults, harmless pranks will have you laughing from beginning to end. The gaming is fun and easy to follow along even for a non-gamer like myself. I love Lola's running commentary; it's my favorite aspect of the book. And while I love her gratitude for her mates and her life, I did find it too repetitive. Still, there are worse things than declarations of love to repeat.

*I listened to the audio version of this book. Susan Greenway was excellent as the narrator. She WAS Lola and did an admirable job on the others' voices. I thought she captured just the right amount of whimsy. She went over-the-top or was subtle as needed for the scene. This was a thoroughly enjoyable book on audio.

I reiterate what I stated in a previous review about how awesome it is to mix dragons with a game tournament. I suppose dragon shifters would be more appropriate, but it's still awesome to me. This is a very unique series. I just adore it and can't wait to read the rest.

The characters are still very connectable. I do feel that rather than getting more of the secondary characters get pulled to the front, Rachel was pushed a bit to the back in this one. She wasn't participating in the tournament though. To be fair. There seems to be a hint about her that has transgressed to this book that's really nagging at me.

The narrator did well on this book as well. I stick by what I said about wanting to listen to other books she narrates. I did notice a bit of an audio issue with these books. There were parts that were a bit sluggish. It distorted the narrator's voice a bit. It was only short bursts and barely happened.

I am changing my opinion on the possibility of these being combined into one. Each book is based on a tournament. That's justification enough for me. Both books have been really cute and easy reads. I can't wait to read the rest.

This sequel was just as good as the first book! Lola and her harem go to Spain for another Realms & Rebels gaming competition. I love that the relationships between Lola, Hector, Martin, Todd, and Rachel continue to grow and the fierce loyalty and protectiveness they have for one another. This book focuses a little more on Rachel and I think it’s great that we get to learn about her past and who she is. I can’t wait to see what happens next and to learn more about the different types of dragon shifters!
Susan did another amazing job with her narration! She brought Lola and Rachel to life and can portray every character’s emotions very well.

Fifth Round by Arizona Tape and Laura Greenwood is a slow burn reverse harem paranormal romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Susan Greenway.

I absolutely love Arizona and Laura’s books! Their books usually leave me with a smile on my face. I really enjoyed the relationship between Lola and her four mates. I can’t wait to dive into the final book in the trilogy Fifth Flame.

Susan did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of her work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you love paranormal romances, reverse harems, or slow burn romances.

I listened to the omnibus of this series and will be posting reviews for the individual books and for the overall one 😊 So I will say that I thought the storyline was great in this book. I enjoyed hearing about the different player types and special powers/weapons/moves they had and how the Renegades worked together to defeat everyone in their way. I thought some of the stuff with Esme was a little repetitive but I enjoyed the back and forth and Rachel getting to know more about herself (if its ever confirmed - one complaint, this was never answered in the series). I wished there was more exploring Barcelona but I thought overall it was a good follow-up to Fifth Soul. I loved getting to have more time with Todd since I think he was kinda left out a bit (his own dang fault since was against the bonding in the beginning). And enjoyed seeing the group as a whole become stronger. I kinda knew with these 2 authors they are not fans of bringing steam, they would rather have storyline. I just wish we could have gotten something, even if it was fade to black, but we got absolutely nothing besides light kissing (doesnt get better in book 3 either).

For the narration, I thought Susan improved her male voices but made Lola more whiny than I thought she would be. Also there were some mispronunciations (I took 6 years of Spanish which is why I noticed them, like paella). I think Rachel was a good representation, especially with her heritage coming into question. I thought Susan did a good job with some of the weird voices and nuances for Lola, really brought her to life.

Overall a good sequel, went right onto listening to book 3 so more reviews to follow. For each of these authors, this isn't my favorite series (or cowritten either), but I did enjoy them. I did snort and giggle at some parts which was a nice change up from some of the serious books I have been listening to.

I loved the book Fifth Round, which I read as part of Renegade Dragons: The Complete Trilogy by Laura Greenwood and Arizona Tape includes the following three books: Fifth Soul, Fifth Round, and Fifth Flame. This three book series is about a dragon named Lola who meets her dragon mates in the first book Fifth Soul, goes to a major gaming competition in Spain with all of her mates in Fifth Round, and in the third book in the series Fifth Flame, Lola fights to have her and her mates unique mating be accepted by the members of the fire dragons. This series is a wonderful three books that have an important moral to teach that everyone is not the same and that everyone should have the right to be who they are and love who they want. I loved reading every book in this series. They made for a sweet uplifting read that anyone who enjoys a reverse harem romance will love. Fifth Round is a wonderful reverse harem romance.

This book was amazing!

This story was mainly about Lola and her four mates going to Spain to participate in a game tournament. I loved how the story was told and of all the parings with Lola and her four mates, I have taken more of a liken to Lola and Rachel. I just love how they work through their relationship since not only having more than three mates is seen as unorthodox in the eyes of the Fire Dragon society, but having a female mate is more unorthodox as well. All the characters have very exciting personalities. I love how Rachel is still trying to find herself as in relation to what type of dragon she is and I love how Lola and her mate brothers especially Hector is always their to cheer her up and make her feel wanted and apart of the family.

I can not wait to read the final book. It is really a bittersweet moment considering it is the last book about them.

The Renegades, the gamer team of Lola and her mates, has made it to the championship in Barcelona. Right away they knock heads with another mated team of fire dragons who are intent on winning the cash prize by hook or by crook. They seem to have no ethics and play on the insecurities of the newly mated Renegades, meaning they swerve into a bit of heavy partying. Lucky for them, 5th mate Rachel is here mainly for the famous architecture and manages to keep her mates from losing their heads entirely.

Will Lola, Martin, Hector and Todd pull themselves together and win by skill over skullduggery? What happens in the Temple of Dragons? Read and learn.

The amatory levels are suitable for Young Adults imo.

A very virgin concept that brings in dragon shifters with RV & gaming. As per the usual Laura Greenwood the writing, plot, characters everything was perfect.

In spite of all this goodness, I could not connect with this book, which is very surprising since I'm really really into the paranormal genre at this point of time and simply devour Laura Greenwood's work.

The reason I gave it a 4 star rating was simply because apart from my disconnect with this book which I'm guessing is due my not reading book 1, everything was good. For those who want to read this please read this series in the correct order, else you will not connect with the book.

Having made it to the next round, our heroines and their team now must face new challenges.

This is book two in this paranormal F/F romance story. While it is not necessary to have read the previous story, it is recommended as it will provide background on the games and the characters..

The story is very well written and the reader drawn into the action pretty quickly. This book sees some more character development, which is fun to read. I really liked their individual personalities, as well as the chemistry between them and am looking forward to the next book.

Overall, this was a fun, short read, easily accomplished over a weekend. And I consider it time well spent.

Highly recommended.

This is book two of The Renegade Dragons series and it's part of the Twin Souls Universe. If you have read the first book then you know Lola a dragon shifter who has three fated mates and her best friend Rachel who is considered an outcast and can't mate. I really like the story and the interesting characters but I love the humor throughout the story. In this book Lola and her mates are heading to Spain for a gaming competition. This is a quick, entertaining, steamy reverse harem story and I am looking forward to reading more books by this author duo in the future. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

As much as I wanted to like this story, it is a bit too ridiculous. Esme is such an uninspired caricature that all I could do was roll my eyes whenever she was around. Also, what was the point of the tattoo scene in the first book if this one was just going to wave it away as “the tattoo faded because our love is stronger than shady ink”?

The narrator was better in this book, even if the recording quality isn’t. Also, that is not anywhere near the proper pronunciation of “paella”.

Hector remains the best part of this series.

Another cute, short listen. Probably not something I'd come back to again, but it was an enjoyable listen. We get to see a bit more of their gaming life in this and they go on vacation. It was interesting to see another side of the characters.

Once again, I give the narrator 4/5. I am in the US, so UK narrators aren't always easy to understand, but Susan does a great job! She's pleasant to listen to and easy to understand. I also feel like she brings this socially awkward character and her fellow characters to life well. I'd definitely listen to her again!

I love Lola and her four mates! She has shocked everyone by being mated to 3 men and a woman - and now they are all in Spain to compete in a huge gaming tournament. Esme and her mates want to win at all costs - and will do anything including trying to put a wedge between Lola and Rachel - and their mother 3 mates. Will they succeed? Who will win? I cant wait for the next book in this series! I loved it! :-)

This is the second book in the Renegade Dragons series and we get to watch Lola and her mates while they play in the biggest gaming tournament of their lives. I love how each one of Lola's mates handles specific things for Lola mentally. While in Spain they find out something about the past and I really hope that we get to see more about that in future books. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book

I don’t think this book is as good as the last one. I found the romance a bit ‘mushy’, over the top ‘lovey dovey’. The gaming scenes were quite interesting for a non gamer as myself. The background story idea is good but just don’t think it was centre stage enough for me. Would still be interested in reading the next in the series to see how Rachal goes at the ceremony. I am a hard marker.

Lola and her mates are travelling to Spain for a major gaming competition. This is cute addition to Lola's story. Lola and the guys spend their time drinking and playing while Rachel spends most of her time visiting museums and shopping. My favorite part was Rachel and Lola's visit to the dragon temple. I liked their gaming strategy during the competition. I requested an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.

I felt parts of this were a bit childish, but I think it is because I'm not the overly jealous type. I enjoyed this in that is funny and light. I really enjoyed learning more about the histories of the Dragons and what not. I also like knowing that Lola's mate is the special and unique one. It was nice to see a change of pace from the girl at the middle being unique and outcast, to the MC being the one protecting the unique one. Probably my favorite part.

I really love these Laura Greenwood books they are my not-so-guilty pleasure. The books are fun, a little over the top, and perfectly paced for the length of the book. I would have liked it more if they were combined together instead of 3 shorter books, which would give the characters more opportunity to develop, but they aren't bad for being shorter books.

The cyber game

In this book we see Lola's dynamic of the group strengthen, especially Rachael.  We get a hint into Rachael's background, what secret is her mum keeping? . I want to know. I also want to learn more about the different dragon types, fire, earth , water and air. This book was a gift and l found it to be fun and enjoyable. Looking forward to part three.

This story just gets better. The gaming scenario is unique, and the whole story is such fun, it makes me smile all the way through. It would make more sense if you have read the first book, but could easily be read as a stand-alone.

Lola is back, new adventure but same amazing characters. I wish I had a Lola in my life, she is so fun but loyal. The story follows on nicely from book one and this really does need to be read in series to appreciate and understand the characters and dynamics. Another great book from Laura and Arizona.

This was interesting yet confusing story. Some parts didn’t match with general idea of this world and dragon community. But once those forgotten it was nice story to read, showing how much all of characters do care about each others and how much they became really united.

As the competition heats up, Lola and her mates face new quetions and new enemies. I loved how Lola handles the questions surrounding Rachel's herritage, and Esme really is someone you love to hate, she's awful! I can't wait to start book 3!
