It is not a war that mankind ever expects to face – one against the undead.
In the fourth and final book of the Rectify Series, the battle has begun.
After the rescue attempt of Sanctum, James Ung and the others make their way to Moundsville, West Virginia, where Clay Owens leads a group of survivors. They make a long term sanctuary our of an old prison.
It is to be home, instead, they face using the prison as a fortress.
Hope burns out quickly when they learn the world is far worse and the CO-D4 virus has only begun its evolution of humanity. The final book brings answers to the survivors that none of them are prepared to face.
More typos, misspelled words and an editorial nightmare. The ending was just a complete letdown and after putting off reading this novella for quite sometime I truly wish I had just not read it at all after reading this last book. It’s almost like Ms. Druga halfheartedly finished up this series without caring about the quality of her work. I feel like this has been a learning experience for me, will take her off my followed authors list as I remember now that she has issues with editing book after book and I just don’t want to support an Author who has no concern for her intended readers and just wants to get another book out to add to her list of accomplishments.
I have come to really enjoy the majority of Jacqueline Druga's Novellas. I am hoping they are outlines for longer Novels someday. If they are I will for sure be rereading them. The Rectify Set I really hated to see end and of course Drugz can always add more to these stories she writes the Rectify stories have been my favorite. I have loved the characters in her story. I have cheered for them, cried for them and was sad when these short stories ended. I can also see Rectify becoming a Series I have seen worst on TV. I would love to see the people of these stories come to life on AMC or HBO. I think they would be a hit. The real complaint here is I do not like to write reviews. I am just not good at them, so the fact that I made an attempt at a review is in it's self the real example of how much I enjoyed these short Novellas.
Rectify 4 Rectify #4 Sci-Fi Jacqueline Druga ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is the final book in this series and I have to admit, it made me cry 😅. Certain scenes were just heartbreaking and I wasn't expecting them to happen.
I liked reading more about Clay and his people, it would've been nice to get more of their back stories etc.
The pacing was just right, which made it easy to read.
The ending was good. The book was left open with some suspense but I'd really like another book because I want to find out what happens after - to the characters and to the zombies.
Loved reading this book! In fact, I loved all of the books in the series! It was well written, with plenty of action, suspense, drama, and excitement, throughout.
Yet again a brilliant series from Jacqueline Druga. Great characters, slightly different from the usual run of the mill zombies too. Yet to read a book or series from this talented author that I didn't enjoy. Keep on doing your 'thing '.
