Emotie de Craciun

Rate this book
It's Christmas time in the forest, but this year there isn't much for the animals to celebrate. It's been a cold, snowy winter and food is scarce. Clara, a little dear, is worried about Christmas, so she wishes on a star for help.

The next day Clara hears the sound of bells in the distance. As she follows the magical sound, she is joined by a squirrel and a rabbit. When they stumble onto a stash of nuts and berries, they decide to share it with everyone in the forest. After all, sharing is giving, and that's what Christmas is all about.

This beautiful, heart-warming story is about giving and sharing and helping wishes come true.

Story itself is not that exciting. Didactic and no magic in the style. I give four stars for the illustrations, though, which I think are absolutely DARLING! Unlike previous reviewer, I loved the little cut-out illustration at the end--it shows the children peering through the trees (cut out) at the animals, and then when you turn the page you see the children behind the trees and the focus is on the animals. However, I do see this could get torn easily.

Pretty,if slightly saccharine tale of the animals sharing Christmas, but why oh why was the cut out page near the end needed? It doesn't enchance the illustrations and it is bound to get torn in pieces with minimal use. Don't any of these book designers deal with actual CHILDREN?
