Great story about two brothers, one who is fearless while the other feels afraid. Charlie has no phobias about playing with animals or riding his bike very fast, while his older brother Tancho is more reserved and does not enjoy doing those things. He is afraid of something going wrong, or hurting himself. However, when his brother is in trouble, Tancho forgets about what scares him and overcomes his fears to help and support his brother. Cute story about how the boundaries of love push fear to ...more

i was sent a review copy of this book by the author. this does not affect my review in any way and all opinions are my own.

when i woke up today and checked my email, i saw one titled "Hi Chloe! Would a Slytherin check out my book?". curious to know what the email's about, i opened it right away and found a long, sincere message as well as two attachments - one, a write-up titled "Why I Write For My Children", and the other, a colorful and beautifully illustrated pdf copy of the author's picture

"Tancho smiled. He liked his new name, and it made him happy to know that his fearless brother thought he was brave."

But when Charlie is in trouble and needs a helping hand, Tancho learns how bravery can come when you le

Great family read with a warning message

The kids and I really enjoyed reading this story together. Sibling rivalries can take many forms and this was a fun, lighthearted way to broach the subject with our boys who can both be a little competitive. It's never too early to start addressing toxic notions of masculinity.

We discussed courage and fear and our eldest picked up on the silent fearlessness of Tancho not giving into peer pressure which I thought was a lovely observation.

The illustrations a

Two brothers, Charlie and Tancho, live an adventurous life, playing and learning as they go. While Charlie isn’t scared of anything, his brother is a little nervous and reluctant to go fast on his bike or reach too high on the climbing frame. But through a series of events, the two realise that real fearlessness comes from supporting each other.

Beautifully illustrated by Sarah-Leigh Wills, this is a thoughtful and entertaining story by Suhmayah Banda, showing how courage is about being there fo
