Lead the way…

Yeah, right. All leading the way had gotten Tate was a seat too close to a roadside bomb and a psych eval gone sideways. He was benched from the Army for months while he healed, but he wasn’t going to mope around about one unlucky incident. He was going to get better and return to active duty in just a few more weeks.

In the meantime, he needs to keep bus

The Hero Was Handsome is the best book in this trilogy! I enjoyed powerful business mogul Red in the first book. I thought I might be in love with the charming Italian doctor Luca in the second.... but I was wrong! He was a passing fancy when compared to the sexy soldier Tate! This book drew me in from the very start and I could not put it down! I loved all the characters in this story. Lyla was funny and sexy and Tate was perfect! He was so real and sweet - seductive and witty The chemistry bet ...more

Suddenly, this job's about more than guarding an asset.

Lyla's picked up a stalker. Red, her boss, hires his friend, Tate, to be her bodyguard on a book tour. Things begin to heat up between them, even as her stalker seems to know their every move. This book is long. I mean long. Really long. It is not at all boring. It doesn't drag ever. The story flows well. But the book takes forever to read. This is not necessarily a bad thing, just a comment. Now to the good things in this book...Tate - a s

Readers, I’m seriously excited! The Hero was Handsome is sexy and swoony and it’s on sale now!

I really adore how my cheeky soldier Tate falls for the mystery author he’s supposed to be protecting. He’s hot and heartfelt and so, so funny – and he’s more than met his match in Lyla.

And is there anything better than a forced proximity story? He’s her bodyguard, folks. Tate has to pay attention to every move Lyla makes. Add in the road trip they go on, with all those small hotel rooms and hours of do

Lyla Lawson was getting some crazy messages from a stalker, so before her publisher Red sends her out on a book tour he wanted to bring his army captain friend on medical leave Tate Monroe on to be her bodyguard. Of course like any good romance with the two characters in close proximity they develop feelings for each other. Her stalker escalates to crazy obsessive figuring out where they are staying even when they try to evade and switch vehicles and hotels and sensing messages that are increasi ...more

I love reading books about a military man. I like stories about authors. Tate and Lyla work for me. I haven't read this author before, but I will definitely read her again. Obviously I love Tate, his strength, his drive, his loyalty and protective nature. I like that he needs his friends to tell him when he is wrong and that they are around to kick his butt when needed. I love that Lyla, while you know she is scared, she is determined not to show it or let the drama and danger get to her. I love ...more

This is the first book I have read from this series and I have really enjoyed it. I loved the connection and chemistry between Tate and Lyla, i enjoyed seeing their relationship develop and getting to see their strengths and vulnerabilities and how they accepted and understood each other. I really enjoyed Tate's friendship with Red and Luca, although I wonder if by not reading their books I have missed out on a deep appreciation of it. I am looking forward to the spin off series and hope that I ...more

This story was as captivating and entertaining as the first two books in the series. I loved how the author intermingled the characters from the previous books into this book. It added depth and furthered my enjoyment. This story was filled with mystery and suspense. There were plenty of steamy scenes as well because this author seems to be a master at creating likable characters that have amazing chemistry. I loved this series and this book.

The Hero was Handsome has undeniable attraction and delightful banter between the characters. This story will also kept you on the edge of your seat with the mystery and suspense as Lyla and Tate try to evade Lyla's stalker.

But be prepared when you get this, it is long but well worth your time to get lost in Lyla and Tate's world.

Who doesn’t like a good romance with a broken soldier who just need the right incentive to fix himself. On the negative I find the storyline a bit slow
