Sweet little stories, cute drawings, but having to repeatedly read the protagonist's three names and that of 'little-friend-Susan' over and over again in the course of reading this aloud was a bit annoying and/or tedious. This aside, an enjoyable, innocent, and charming collection of stories. ...more

Frequently charming and really rather beautifully done, this 90th anniversary edition of the Milly-Molly-Mandy stories is a lovely thing. It's been a long time since I read Milly-Molly-Mandy and if you're the same, here's a brief refresher. Written in the 1920s, MMM is a little girl who lives with her sprawling family in a pleasant little village, and she gets into several very small and rather adorable adventures. They were written and illustrated by Joyce Lankester Brisley who was the sister o ...more

Milly Molly Mandy book was funny and good. I liked when MMM and Billy Blont said they will try to lift the world. I will give MMM four stars. It will be fun to be Milly because she gets to live with her grandma and grandpa and auntie and uncle and her mama and dad.

My daughter (5y/o) enjoyed this book, but I found it quite dated, boring and tedious to read.

I love reading old books and these were just so darling. The stories are so sweet and lovely. I am reading these to my little sister at some of her bed times we are trying to get through all four books. But will only be marking them as one book so it dosnt effect my reading challenge. Will update when we have finished them!

Great as a transition between picture books and more advanced reading because of the use of repeating phrases in each stories (if I read 'nice white cottage with the thatched roof where Milly-Molly -Mandy lived' one more time...).
Milly-Molly-Mandy could do with being less of a goody-goody but that's my only complaint.

Sweet little collection of stories. My 6 and 3 year old loved them more than I did; there isn’t much that happens but they were intrigued by how things were different in her world and I think the simplicity appealed to them.
