I really enjoyed reading this book after it picks up steam after the first 50 pages. It is a third person description of the battle for the defender’s home country and it is well written and described. However, here is the problem that would have made it much easier to follow: give the reader a detailed map of the country, not a simple one of the continent!!!! The book could have been a four star rating with one, but without a detailed map, it’s only three. I suppose this book is reflective of the time when it was issued, but it already had a general map in it, why not a more detailed one of just the home country? I expect the next book to be similar to this one , with the same poor map, which is unfortunate, but that’s 1993 for you.
