Blind Date with a Billionaire Professor
Abby Summerhill had a type—the unattainable player. When a friend set her up with handsome science professor, Colin Fitzgerald, she couldn’t believe her luck. He was tall, dark, and handsome, and made her stomach flip in the most amazing way. But something happened during the date that made her...more
That is a great way to sum up the meeting and ensuing relationship between Abby and Colin in this book. Abby is definitely a more outspoken character, in a good way. She's had some struggles in her life with relationships. Especially with her ...more
I absolutely hated how much of a doormat Abby was! I honestly could not understand why any woman would wait 10 flippin' years for the one, and couldn't see that he was using her! Then when she starts dating someone else, then he finally "realizes" that he loves Abby? Totally didn't believe it! Colin was such an endearing guy through all of this. He ...more
Abby, has a bubbly personality, is kind hearted, and has been waiting ten years for “the one” – Nick. She is ...more
Evangeline did an absolutely beautiful job bringing out all of my emotions in this heartwarming and gut wretching read. So many things to happen in just a short time. Grab your tissue when you pick up your copy cause trust me, you're going to cry. No way around it. The characters were awe inspiring and full of life after having different issues and heartbeat to deal with. I really loved following the characters along as I witnessed their personalities bloom and blend ...more
This one wasn't as hilarious as the first one, Blind Date with a Blue-Collar Billionaire, but it does have it's lighter moments and some very poignant moments.
Colin is a professor at the University and he studies mushrooms and other fungi. Abby is an artist, a rather free spirit. She has had a crush on Nick for ten years and has finally gotten a bit tired of being overlooked by him. Her best friend sets her up on a blind date with Colin, whom she works for, and ...more
Abby thought she was in love with Nick, but he’s a player and says he’s not ready to get married and she keeps waiting for him to really see her for who she is.
Her friends don’t like Nick and keep telling her that he is no good and she should go out with other people she prays on it and decides she will give it a go.
Colin is a professor and does research on mushrooms he is not interested in dating anyone but when one of the older friends ...more
“Brains doesn’t cut it”...... at least that’s what came to mind as I read this story.
Collin is a good looking successful professor who can capture the attention of a packed auditorium..... but is introverted and awkward when having a “one on one” encounter with women. Abby on the other hand is a free spirit and talented artist who has many insecurities due to a neglected childhood. A beautiful relationship develops between them both when they decide to ...more
I loved Abby and Colin! Abby was so adorable and quirky, you can't help but smile when you read about her. Colin was also super cute! He might look mysterious and ...more
It was almost painful to read how naive Abby was in regards to Nick. And it was sad that she put her life on hold for that guy. (It's one thing to remain single because the Lord calls you to it. It's another to be single because you're waiting for YOUR choice to wake up.)
Colin was also hard to read at first but his situation was more self preservation mode. He definitely had to put the work in to overcome his insecurities. But the Lord did a work in both of them. Showing Abby to ...more
A lovely opposites attract romance! The beginning of the story reminded me of one of my favorite Hallmark movies "How to Fall in Love" so I was hooked from the moment Colin asked Abby for help.
Abby's 1st date with socially awkward Colin was definitely cringeworthy, and her crush on Nick made me want to slap some sense into her, but the direction it takes from there is so sweet and uplifting that I didn't want to stop reading.
There's a moment near the end when something fairly ...more
Colin and Abby started on the wrong foot on their Blind Date. Each had baggage that needed healing and only God could do that. What a wonderful love storey! A good movie is only as good as the writer and oh how true that is of a book! Evangeline knocked this series out of the park. Thank you for reminding us that love is patient and kind, does not envy or boast, is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in ...more
I can't remember if I got this first free. I'm glad it is in my possession. This book brought out what is the true meaning behind real love. The stress, second guessing, adventure, prayer and finding what's real. I think the scriptures are strategically placed to emphasize the heart in which the word was written. I loved that both Abby and Collin were able to speak openly about their beliefs and used the same method to help them work their insecurities out. I like that this book ...more
This is a great story with a strong Christian theme that I really loved. Looking forward to read more in this series.

The professor is an introvert. Communicating with people is very hard for him so when he has a date with Abby, well, he blows it and Abby walks away saying "Thanks, but no thanks."
Colin doesn't want this chance to end so he devises a plan to be able to spend some time with her - get her to teach him how to fix the mistakes that he made on their date so he won't make the same mistakes on another date.
Well, we all know what ends up happening with that plan! LOL!
