Dead America: The First Week (#4), Dead Texas / Dead America Universe (#8)
We now turn to see how the people are doing in Bismarck, ND. We are introduced to widow Emily and her daughter on their farm. As she goes to kill a zombie caught in the barbwire surrounding the property, she has an idea. Emily has to go to another farmer for help. There we find the wife is not a fan of Emily. Why? Reason not given. From there the two families need to enlist help from the Dude Ranch owner. Reason, they need manpower. As the three families agree to the plan they must go into Bismarck to make it happen. And here we get cowboys, a city boy named Ernest, snowplows, and guns, which includes a 50-cal, a cattle stunner and a hot pink shotgun. Enjoyed this book.
Point of fact to know, the cold slows the zombies down.

Turpinot vispārējo Dead America sēriju tās Pirmās un Otrās nedēļas sērijās, var labā nozīmē uzteikt centienus lokalizēto katastrofu atspoguļot plašākā, nacionālā līmenī, kas pietrūka Dead Texas ietvaros. Tā Dereks Sleitons piedāvā ieskatu, kā ar cīņu pret zombiju apokalipsi tiek galā personāži Ziemeļkarolīnas štata Šarlotē, pierobežā ar Meksiku El Paso, vairāk ASV vidiene, Portlendā un vēl vairākās lokācijās.

Great read
These books are a quick read but draw you in with great characters and action. I like how each book goes to different groups in different parts of the country. Entertaining!

Entry number 8 in the Dead America zombie apocalypse series. Pretty good as usual. It turns out I am a sucker for a competently told zombie tale.

This one wasn't as exciting as the other Dead America storylines. There was a bit of action but the characters were a little flat and uninteresting. Hopefully things pick up in the next installment.
