Too many now know she’s Soraya Warloc, only heir to the high elder, and now de facto leader of the enchanters. The list of people who want more than she’s willing to give is increasing, and she starts to tune it and everyone out. It’s overwhelming to constantly hear she’s not doing enough while no one is offering to step up and help. And with Beltane right around the corner, her schedule’s already packed with what her coven needs.
A dark spirit shows up in Chicago and is hunting a specific prey. Soraya is called in, and not only is she upset that there will be a lot more dead with the evil that was summoned, but something is wrong with Detective Hunt.
Unfortunately, Soraya has more on her plate than worrying over one person and lacking in the relationship experience to know what to do. But when she’s pulled in every direction and feels like she’s going to break, will the right person step up to help her or let everyone bury her in demands?
The Enchantress is a fast paced ride of sexy fun while balancing the needs of her coven, police investigations, work, supes, and the world that wants so much from her and still trying to move on from the past to find the love we all deserve.
Erin is a born Chicagoan who decided to state hop a bit, given she works from home. She currently resides in Georgia with her pup, Lord Vader Flynn. With an eclectic and addictive personality, there isn’t much that doesn’t interest her or she won’t pour herself into if it catches her fancy. She has always been interested in the darker aspects of life and mythologies—especially vampires, shifters, the occult, and anything paranormal.
To date, she has published more paranormal books than she can keep up with the characters for, in different genres with dedicated readers who await each release to her numerous series under any of the three Flynn names she writes.
I've read a lot of Erin Flynn's books. I don't know why... they frustrate the hell out of me.
**spoilers ahead** I never connect to any of the male romance characters at all. For once (in any of her series I've read) I would like a male love interest to say no when the FMC offers them to have some kind of sexual relationship with other people. One guy, out of any of her books, to ONLY want the heroine and no one else. So, if the FMC says something like, "Go ahead and get a blow job from this random woman who is beautiful because I won't do it..." the dude SHOULDN'T be all like, "Okay, You're a godess and the most perfect woman in the world but im totally gonna let these random women blow me and I'll possibly have sex with them too. Thanks, you'rethe best." The minute any of these guys go for the other women (for whatever reason) I immediately don't like them. It feels like they're cheating right in her face and I HATE it. It's almost like a test and they all fail. In all of Erin's books, the men never say no. Never. Almost all of these books have the same wording and phrases and the characters may have different powers and world building, but they're all pretty much the same person. I skimmed all of the sex scenes and ridiculous amount of food discussions (another thing that's the same in every series) and stopped when it got to the actual action or plot points, which were rushed and glossed over in ever single book. I do like the friendships these heroines have, but again, I hate the romance aspect. Everything I wanted to read about I was left hanging on and everything that I don't care for was magnified.
In this particular book, it was about what I expected, except now there's a BDSM club. Remy Hunt (Soyara' pet/dog/wolf/mate?) surprised her with a membership after she ghosted him for weeks and hurt his feelings. They have random stranger sex that I didn't give a shit about and skimmed over. I think I actually hate Hunt the most and don't know why Soyara likes him. I want him to find some other shifter female and mate them like the other shifter guys did. Even if it will hurt Soyara's heart, I want someone better for her and every FMC in every book EF has written. They deserve better than these guys.
I think I continue to read these books for the tiny bit of hope that a character will come along and not want anyone but the FMC... I want someone to pass the test. Fingers crossed 🤞

I don't know, I was disappointed with this book. There's a few places that just didn't make sense or seemed forced into the story. I've been very intrigued with the back story in general, but not the romance side of it. I just don't feel the "love" -other than the secondary characters caring so much about Soraya & her towards them. But her actual love interests (the werewolf & the angel), I just wasn't feeling it. The sex scenes were a major turn-off for me, and just increased the lack of connection for me to their relationships. They still felt like just hookups instead of evolving relationships. Some of them felt like they were for shock value, more than anything. I ended up skimming a lot of those sex scenes to get past them. Most of the other series from this author actually induce some high emotions from me for the heroines & their RH guys, but not this one. The back story is the only thing holding me to the story so far, that backstory part is just as good as most of the other series by this author. I'll pick up book 6, when it comes out, to see where it goes.
Wheee! This entire series has been a wild ride, and I am enjoying every minute of it (okay, occasionally I turn past some of the sex stuff. I'm old, sue me). I've particularly enjoyed how, with Hunt's help, Soraya's team are FINALLY beginning to figure out the whole "How to blow your own horn and get the symphony to play along" As for Hunt? I laughed so hard when he was telling his friend about Soraya's treat.....GLORIOUS! Hee hee hee! Glorious! Glorious! Hee hee hee Man I hope there're going to be more of these...
Honestly I can nothing but commend Soroya I would have blew my lid and checked out ages ago! She takes on so much and gets so much shit for it all the time! Someone needs to set the arseholes straight or people should get penalties for it! I'm very invested in this character. I feel like she has grown so much as a character from what she has suffered and overcome! Yes she's very powerful but she is also very humble and spreads herself too thin to do what's right or correct others failings
A calming adventure without any heartbreaking twists... book 5 finds everyone continuing along their path to right the wrongs, solve the mystery, cure the veil, and stop tyranny and bigotry across all the races/species. Hunt and Soraya find some streaming adventures if their own, and in her spare time Soraya hunt's down a dark spirit that is terrorizing Chicago. Well written and enjoyable.
Will Ikuyo get her two other tails back? Does she ever get time with her mom? Will she find the last dark Tiger before this series ends? This is my favorite series of yours basically because trauma is not brought up every fourth sentence like in other series. We know she has some she just doesn't find it necessary to remind us ALL the time. She also doesn't knit pick or hate men as much
I liked this book. It was a natural continuation of the series but there were just I few spelling and grammar issues. Also there were some parts missing from sentences and there were some places that didn’t feel finished. Just needs a little editing and I’d have given it a 5.
Soraya's journey is inspiring! I love how she protects those she loves and used her considerable power to help as many and as much as she can against all comers. Please let us see more of her and Hunt and her coven. She is glorious. Thank you Erin Flynn for all your series. I love all of them
I enjoyed this series. Was disappointed that it’s not finished, but it’s been good. I did feel like I got lost in the details of her businesses and day to day details. Enough so that it detracts a little bit. I didn’t really get sucked into the story, so I wouldn’t call it a page turner. It was worth reading, but not sure I want to invest more time into future books.
Another amazing book in the Enchantress series. Soraya has grown in her knowledge of being in a relationship with someone. She also finds not everyone wants to use her. Must read book!!!
If you like strong women, who take care of business and care about others this seires is for you. Try all her books loved the wolf series also.well really loved them all
Can't wait for the next book! The Enchantress is what we would call a very powerful witch. On the run from her wicked family. Fast forward a 1000 years she now helps others.
Not as good as the others beginning to feel like its been dragged out with no real conclusion and their is no mention of the next book because once i start a seies i like to see it out plus i really like this very cool heroine with no angst
Another fantastic addition to this amazing series, a lot has changed but there's room for so much more to happen, I'm looking forward to the new book in this series and hope it comes soon.
Wow another fantastic book by Erin Flynn, May your story telling continue for many more brilliant books and series, excellent well done. Gary Challenger Devon UK.
I truly have not found one of your books I don't love. Its the perfect amount of past, present, sexy, and kinky. I hate to put the books down to be an adult. Thank you for the great stories and worlds.
From someone who COMPLETELY LOVES Erin's "Artemis University's" series this is my second favorite series of Erin's. Seriously love it and I hope there is more. I'm in love with all of our characters and how the series just sucks you right in.
Another series by Erin that I can’t put down. It is fast paced and exciting. I’m loving the insight chapter at the end of each book to her origins. Might be another series? Love love all Erin’s books I’ve read so far thank you
It’s not RH if it’s just a bunch of non committed relationships that are essentially open relationships. It’s just…I don’t know. It feels like none of these male characters love the FMC enough for her to *just* be enough for them.
I loved this book just as much as the other ones and I enjoy the bonus chapters at the end. I love the glimpses into the backstory a lot. The next book has to wait for a bit, since I read through the night (again) and I have to sleep sometime.
Thoroughly recommend this author. All her series have strong characters & detailed plots. Genuinely cant put them down until I finish all the available books.
