Shelves: recent-mystery
This is a very simple mystery and a quick read, but so much more fun than I expected that it was hard not to fall in love with it a little. It's the author's sense of humor that really shines here as her protagonist is a somewhat grumpy older lady living in a trailer park in Florida. Patty seemed like a very real person, and her reactions to the people and the mysterious goings on around her are both priceless and very relatable. Grumpy old women

A good plot and I loved the main character with all her antisocial grumpiness. She had moved to the trailer park not only to be close to her son (unfortunately he moved away as she moved in) but also to get away from the ghosts of her husbands. Having been married 4 times and now no longer a spring chicken she's finding the move hard. Where do you fit everything when the space is so much smaller than what you are used too. I love reading and this story reinforced my love of reading quite a bit. Patty Decker is a wonderful, crotchety, old woman who has recently undergone more than one upheaval in her life. Life is always changing.
I love the realistic attitude that Patty has, the first person POV writing is wonderful and brings me fully into the story. The author has a delightful knack for describing the thoughts of an elderly woman. The scene setting is perfect for me, the trailer park feels right at home and I
