2.5, rounded down.
Morgan has gone on to be an award-winning screenwriter (Shame, Suffragette, The Iron Lady), but started out as a playwright. Unfortunately, this early effort straddles the line between being enigmatic and downright incomprehensible ... and comes down on the wrong side (at least in script form). Has some intriguing monologue material, but since this was a collaboration between three separate companies, seems to be a case of too many cooks....

A play which is set in a very filmic style. I have read this and performed as a part of my Independent personal portfolio (IPP) project for IB theatre course.
The play revolves around 3 characters, and 3 characters only - Lucien, Anthony, and Madeleine. Where these characters evolves throughout the performance through the aspect of the hollow, haunting love-triangle. lucien and Anthony are best mates who fell
In-love early during their teenage years with the girl referred to with "crooked-nose". The girl was soon revealed abstractly that she died jumping off a bridge. Time-gone-by, now both in their mid 30s, they met Madeleine who reminded them of the pass... Does the cycle seems to begin again?
Its been a big challenge for me to tackle this play. All-in-all, a great play to be performed if you enjoy a rather film-like way of portraying stories! :)
