Oliver's plan was to awake from cryogenic sleep after one hundred and fifty years. Wars and disease meant he was eventually forgotten in the mountain monastery, and he and Verity slipped into legend.
The sequel to Timewalker begins five hundred years later. Technology has advanced and the planet has changed...
Rieka, a U.W.F. Protector, is on the trail of a Terrasian politician's missing daughter. She finally has a fresh lead, but things don't look hopeful for a girl-turned-pirate.
Luke Norris is an avid sci-fi and fantasy fan. April 2018 marks the release of Timewalker, his first self-published novel.
Luke grew up in the enchanting landscapes of New Zealand, but his passion for languages and different cultures is what drew him to the metropolis of Berlin, where he now lives, writes, makes music, and works.
Even faster read than book one. Luke’s writing style has a flow to it that stops you from putting the book down! Creative storytelling and character development - wonderful descriptives! I highly recommend this book (after book one of course).
Finished 'Protector' in 2 days, couldn't put it down. Great continuation from 'Timewalker' and now intrigued to find out what happens in the next book.
Wow! What an excellent sequel to Timewalker! This had me captivated at every chapter as mysteries were revealed, more questions were raised which made for an insatiable read. I was left stunned at the final chapter and hungry for more adventures from this sci-fi universe.
The sequel has a bit more matured writing, improving on the first book. At times I had to stop myself from reading and actually do other things. It is quite involving story making you want to see what happens next. I don’t want to share any spoilers, but it is quite an interesting story, exploring more of the characters battles. We see more developed female characters, which is refreshing. Would love to see even more developed and as lead female characters in next book. I can’t wait for the 3rd book to see how the story continues.
A more than worthy successor to the first book! The author has developed a lot since the first book and it shows. Witty combinations of humour, action, fast paced sci-fi fantasy, bubbling romances that don't feel out of place (which they often do) had me gobbling Protector in a week! My only hope is that we get a third book in the series, there are so many questions I want answers to and if anything I want to continue to follow the growth of the characters. If you enjoyed the first book then this is going to have you wanting more!
I couldn't wait for the sequel of Timewalker and I wasn't disappointed! The story was quite fascinating and I loved to see how the characters developed. I don't want to spoil anything, but the beginning of the book already left me shook! I liked the new characters and can't wait to read what happens in book 3!
This book was fantastic, I couldn’t seem to put it down! The developments in the story are genius and totally unexpected. There are also some great new characters which I loved - especially Lenat and Krin!
The introduction to the concept of ‘third-stagers’ planting humanity across the different plants and remaining hidden is great. It opens up a whole new avenue for the story and also answers some practical questions about how the same species are present across the universe.
I loved reading about the protectors, this was a really great addition to the narrative and sets up a nice ending.
This book resolves nicely but leaves so much to be explored. Can’t wait for any future books to come out - new favourite series!
