Do you believe in fate and destiny? These three authors have written three romantic stories that deal with both and they are thoroughly enjoyable, quick reads that will keep any romance reader smiling, my suggestions get comfy and enjoy.

The Ivory Veil, Beth Prentice

I did love this story being back in Westport and the mystery of the wedding dress found in a box and the feud that has been going on for years between two families, that of Gracie who works in the bridal shop and Aaron who has just pu

The Ivory Veil by Beth Prentice: I thought The Ivory veil was a delightful story. I loved Gracie and Aaron, their chemistry and budding romance was lovely. There has been a rift between their two families forever yet no one knows why and their grandparents aren't telling. Gracie's Gran is completely mental in her dislike of Aaron's family and forbids Gracie to have anything to do with him, a bit hard now that he is her new boss, not to mention their mutual attraction  An unexpected find of an an ...more

This was a really interesting anthology featuring three very different stories dealing with fate and destiny, all written in a different style, and it held together really well.
Catherine Evans is the writer of the three who I have read before, and of whom I'm a very big fan and it's probably natural that I enjoyed her story best. Plus, a horse called Storm is a major character.
I haven't read Beth Prentice before, but once I got into her voice, I also enjoyed The Ivory Veil. Told in first person,

The Ivory Veil by Beth Prentice is a sweet love story about a girl, Gracie, who works in a bridal shop. She loves working in the shop where she helps match brides with their perfect gowns. It comes as a surprise to her that her boss has sold the business, and to none other than the son of her family's arch nemesis, Aaron. When her grandmother learns of who has purchased the business, she insists that her granddaughter must quit her job immediately. Dealing with a family feud and misconceptions o ...more

Oh man, talk about staggering heights. These authors didn't hesitate to throw it all out there, shake it up and see how it lands. And man does it land. They never fail to bring a smile with their quirky witt and a keen insight for detail that they seem to take on such passion and zeal it leaves you spellbound and wanting more. These fabulously talented and gifted authors write with a soul deep precision all their own and it breathes such life and animation that shows h

A compilation of love; stories from the heart. My favorite is written by the beautiful Aussie author, Kim Petersen. Wildflower is a love story that envelopes two continents. A very special love that can reach across the ocean told by Kim Petersen, as only she can. As a bonus there are two more spectacular tales in this book.

Untamed Destinies provides you with three amazing stories from three authors with different styles that come together to give you hours of captivating insights into the lives of their characters. The details and clarity of the stories are refreshing whereas you won't put this down until you have devoured the very last page. I loved Ms. Petersen's Wild flower a forbidden romance between two married people.

The Ivory Veil by Beth Prentice is the first 'real' romance book Ms Prentice has written, and it is of excellent standard. The story is told with Ms Prentice's trademark humour, and is set in Westport - where all the best cosy mysteries happen!
The Ivory Veil is an easy to read novella, full of larger than life characters, and just a hint of mystery.

I have been given the wonderful chance to read this new Anthology by these three great authors to whom two are very familiar to me as I have read their work numerous times before, but Catherine Evans is new to me. I am excited to get the change to read a new author who writes rural romance a genre that I have been enjoying of late, as well as reading three different types of the novellas in one great book. I have received an ARC copy of this book to which I am giving my voluntary and honest revi

This, for me, was a bit of a mixed bag.

I am not sure what it says about me, but I enjoyed the "sweet" stories the most.

The Ivory Veil was a story about Grace, who works in a bridal shop, and her discovery of a beautiful gown which has its own story to tell. I thought Grace's grandmother was a bit over-the-top, but the story was nicely romantic :)

I'm afraid I just couldn't connect with confused me and the turns of phrase just annoyed me too much. I started to skim read and the

This was an anthology of perfect, bite sized reads for me to pick up while on holiday. I'm a fan of Catherine Evans's writing, so immediately jumped at the chance to read her newest story and wasn't disappointed. (I really do love a story with a horse in it, so there was no doubt I'd enjoy!) One of the great things about reading an anthology like this is seeing how different authors have diverse takes on a similar theme and Untamed Destinies didn't disappoint. I've also now got two other go-to a ...more
