River Ray is a genius at everything he does, gets everything he wants…except when it comes to love.
He's never had to urge to look beyond a computer screen to even consider the idea of love.
Until Now. Now, all he can think about is the woman who’s miles out of his league.

Painting Tomorrow is the fifth book in the Kingsley series but can be read as a stand alone I do recommend that you read them in order though . I was hooked from start to finish with a story that just kept me into what was going on with the characters . Can't wait to read more by the author and of the series hope to more of these characters in the future .
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book

This was the third story I've read in the Kingsley series by Haylee Thorne and what a fun, fast-paced set of stories.

First of all, I adore the names of the two main characters--River and Phoenix--in book five, Painting Tomorrow. Though complete opposites, there was no denying the attraction between those two. And the fact that neither thought the other would be interested added fuel to the story. For the most part, Painting Tomorrow was a sweet love story with a bit of a twist, but there were t

I really was looking forward to this read. I loved the blurb and even though it was part of a series it did say standalone so I figured why not. Well why not indeed. While this is about PK and River it's also about her mother and the man they are trying to bring down. Unfortunately a lot of the story is based on trying to bring Kingsley down, which is the background story that binds them all. A lot of characters from previous books in the series (I assume) and the ongoing story well it's kind of ...more

Dear Haylee Thorne, I really wish you would stop trying to KILL ME DEAD with these short(ish) stories that end with a HUGE bang, making me wait for more! I die a little more inside each time, and frankly, I may snap soon! Phoenix was discovered to be a Kingsley sibling who originally wasn't sure she wanted this whole rich life, but she seems to be settling down with Mika & Mikaela quite well, or more with her sister & sister-in-law better. She has a thing for River, who has been holding ...more

This was a fairly short read and I went into it not really knowing much about the series, even though it says it is a standalone and you CAN read it as one, I recommend starting at the beginning of the series first to make sure that you truly understand what is happening in the subplot behind the romance of PK and River!

I did like the sweet but pretty steamy romance between Phoenix and River, they were so cute both widely attracted to the other but thinking that they could not possibly want them

When Haylee Thorne isn’t writing her stories, she works proudly as a registered nurse in Kentucky. Haylee loves to read and watch TV (she may or may not be slightly obsessed with anime), and there aren’t many movies she has not seen. She’s known to enjoy a good glass of champagne, and can eat an unlimited amount of French fries (seriously, it’s a problem). When she has some free time (as in time n ...more
