I read this book via an Amazon KINDLE Unlimited download.

Any woman who’s given birth knows how wondrous and rewarding the feeling is, they also know it’s also an arduous task it can be at the same time. While some women might have marvelous support from their mothers and husbands, Christian mothers I believe from time to time need some additional inspirational support from the up above; which is why the author, Katie LaPierre, a pastor’s wife who’s given birth seven times, has compiled this marvelous devotional book with the aid of her husband Scott.

When one talks about childbirth, one must keep in mind what’s written in Psalm 127:3 [ESV]:

Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward.

As well as what’s written in Genesis 1:28 [ESV]

And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Furthermore, I feel that coming from her rollercoaster life experiences of childbirth Katie LaPierre and her belief in Philemon 1:6 [ESV] that this book came into existence.

“and I pray that the sharing of your faith may become effective for the full knowledge of every good thing that is in us for the sake of Christ.”

Each day’s devotional is like a scripture sandwich, starting with a specific scripture for each day’s devotion, Ms. LaPierre then expounds on it with her own experiences and feelings, culminating with another scripture designed to have the book readers to begin meditating/reflecting on what they’ve read. Readers are then given a space on which to write their own thoughts on reading each day’s devotional [If readers are reading the book on their KINDLE, then they should write these thoughts in a WORD file on their computers or into a notebook.

For giving her readers, a supportive, inspirational reading experience designed to have the Lord accompany them during to miraculous period in their lives, I’ve given the author 5 STARS.

Unfortunately, my dear OH and I have no children.

This is a beautifully written devotional book designed to use for a month. I usually enjoy devotionals in the evening allowing me a wonderful night’s sleep, but most of these are best in morning. Well, that’s how I felt helping me start off the day fresh. Nevertheless, when you prefer to conduct your devotionals in the mornings, midday, bedtime or any combination this book will fit your needs. I am even going to keep this devotional book handy and use it again. It is a helpful and inspirational guide.

You’ll find inspirational thoughts and helpful Bible verses each day. These are quick devotionals, but sometimes I was inspired to expand them. My mind was opened to ideas and other thoughts creating a desire to continue studying. I’d find myself looking up various Bible verses as I thought more on the devotional topic.

As a mom I found many of devotionals topics relatable and helpful. I felt supported and like I was not alone. There are others out there dealing with the same things I do and have the same concerns or issues. We pray for the same things and search for the same answers. The Bible is here for us and God is listening. This time of devotion is soothing and helpful -- and important.

A delightful element of this book are the lined journal notebook pages at the end of each devotional. This was perfect helping me write down any thoughts or questions I had. It gave me a chance to write down questions I might have to research later or perhaps discuss with others during Bible study. Also, it went along with elements of the devotion included in prompts. Sometimes my thoughts went to an idea I hadn’t thought before and I didn’t want to forget so I would jot it down. There are some devotionals that made me think of elements that had not been on my mind before and I appreciate that. The call to make notes in the journal area is a great addition. It was very helpful and I was grateful for it. When I use this book again I’ll be sure to have lots of paper so I can keep a journal of thoughts, feelings and notes.

This is a well written devotional book. I recommend it!

Eternally Minded Mamas is a lovely, well-written and Biblically sound 31-day devotional for moms. Each entry includes a section for journaling a personal response and this could easily become a keepsake volume. What a great opportunity it would be to annually repeat and be refreshed by this experience! This could be a loving and thoughtful gift idea (from individuals and churches) to provide for moms of young ones! Katie LaPierre has done a beautiful work in this inspired devotional book, and I highly recommend it!

The Eternally Minded Mama devotional is a refreshing perspective of how to keep Christ-centered in the day to day tasks of mothering; not only one of the highest callings but also most challenging! Katie gives insightful perspectives and real life examples to engage the reader in how she herself employs the principals in her day to day life. This devotional could be used for busy mom's who want to take a few minutes to start their day off with their eyes on Christ, those who got busy and need a perception reset, or those who rushed from task to task and fall into bed and needing that encouragement at the end of their day. Either way, this books is designed to encourage the busy mom through the challenges of parenting, and formatted in such a way that it can be done every day regardless of time constraints.

I greatly appreciate the reality of being a mama in the trenches of motherhood that Katie shares in this devotional. Being a mom of many myself and having probably the same kind of hard days, this has short but power-packed words for refocusing and keeping the focus on JESUS throughout the day.
I loved how she starts and ends each devotion with a very relevant verse to the topic and are great for meditation all day. It is also great to not only read one day at time straight through but also the titles are clear enough that if you needed encouragement in a specific area, you could jump ahead or back to it because each day is stand alone.
I would highly recommend this book to any mama.

This is a wonderful devotional for mothers who want to keep their children in focus and grow closer to our Lord. This devotional is designed for use over a month and I found great joy in using this. Even though my children are older, I'm sure grandchildren will be in my future and children are so wonderful and such a blessing, this book is so helpful in supporting the prayers and spiritual life of a loving mother.
