At risk of coming across as a biased fangirl, I thoroughly enjoyed Frank Turner's 'Try This At Home'.

The book shares the stories behind how a selection of his songs from his long (and ongoing) career came into being, from the initial spark of inspiration to the riffs and chord sequences. I laughed, I cried, I learned. There is something special in understanding the backgrounds of songs you know and love without them changing what they mean personally. Frank said it best (obviously) “when music becomes a collective activity, it’s power multiplies exponentially, and it becomes something worthy of longevity and passion.”

Just when you think you can't become an even bigger fan of Frank Turner... He comes out with this book. This book is full of stories that give Turner's songs more depth and meaning to our already personal interpretations.
