Heather Guimond is a new author to me, although I have listened to a previous book by Heather Firth.
This was a fun listen and Heather Firth did a great job with the narration. I loved this quirky story about Stacy Sanders and Gage Blackstone. I couldn’t continue reading after half of the book.
It was as if the story was covered by a flat and cold veil and didn’t evoke any emotions. The couple couldn’t convince me.
Apart from that, I wasn’t really fond of the interaction of the heroine with her inner slut.

The Novel Approach is an adorable story about two very different romance authors. Stacy writes "sweet romance"-off page sex and steam. She runs into a hunk of a man at the airport on the way to a romance authors' convention and he turns out to be another author. Gage is one of the top erotica authors! i loved the premise of this book being about authors and i had to give it a go. so glad i did. i loved every second of it. the narrator also added more to the story by feeling like i was really listening to Stacy talking. i am sad its over because i need more gage and stacy!
What can I say? I loved this story. Gage is the bad boy and Stacy is the sweetheart. When they meet at a book conference, sparks fly and some drama begins. It was fun to read about a guy writing erotic romance while the girl writes sweet romance. The little twists and turns keep you turning the pages to see where the author will lead you. Can Gage and Stacy stay together? Well, just get the book and find out for yourself. LOL

What happens when the sweetheart of sweet (vanilla!) romance meets the god of smut? The Novel Approach was a brilliant series starter from Heather Guimond. This was an enjoyable read. I loved how the two MC's were both romance authors. She writes sweet romance and he writes more erotic stuff. Stacy was shy and Gage decides to help her come out of her shell. Besides the romance in the book we got some suspense/mystery. Gage had a stalker and throughout she would send weird stuff. I thought that I had it figured out but turns out I was wrong. Which is nice because the author had surprised me.

I loved this insight in writer’s lives - and of course their love lives. What I loved about it was the earnestness of a writer’s sometimes solitary life. What I didn’t like was the part of the crazy fan and I thought it was a bit far-fetched. I loved reading about their passion and their lovelife, although I could kick his assistent sometimes, and I bet Stacy sometimes would want that too. It was kind of fun to see sweetheart and bad-ass getting together.
