I consumed this book! I have to admit, I had no clue what this book was about when I bought it, but I've liked all of P.M. Hernandez's books so I pre-ordered as soon as I saw it offered. This YA book does not disappoint! I thought it was a love story and all I have to say is there are twists upon twists upon twists! The story is creative and ending perfect! A must read for any YA book fan!

Beauty and a beast

This story is like Beauty and the beast (but not any version out there), Jekyll and Hyde, Frankenstein, with a little bit of The Doll House and Fringe (tv shows) mixed in to create a story that pulls you in, shines a light on inequalities and perceptions, and makes you wonder about how plausible Carrie’s situation could be. I liked how the story is told from Carrie and Luis’ points of view and their characters in general.

If I didn’t have to work I would have devoured the book, in a day. So many twists and turns I was engrossed from the first page. PM Hernandez never disappoints. Highly recommend.
