Melissa Not at all! I went into this book having never read this author and it worked as a great introduction to her lore.

3.75 Stars. This was better than book 1 and on about the same level of novella 1.5. After enjoying the novella I was happy to see that Frame kept up the quality for this book too. This was not without its problems but it was an entertaining paranormal read. I guess technically you could read this without reading book one and novella 1.5, but I would suggest starting at the beginning. There are a ton of recurring characters including villains from book one, that might be too confusing to keep str ...more
I enjoyed some aspects of this story but there were things that I found distracting. Kenrick leaves her Scottish home and the Wulvers to join Dante and the Wolfgang pack to prepare for her impending ascendence as Alpha of the Wulvers. On the day of her arrival in America, Kenrick and the Wolgang pack come across a wolf shifter from the Lupa pack. She is seriously injured and although she’s from the sworn enemy of the Wolfgangs, they take her to the hosital. Zaria Lupa has been on the run for a l ...more

I was looking forward to reading the third installment of Jenny Frame's Wolfgang County urban fantasy series, "Blood of the Pack," so obviously when it dropped on my lap, I devoured it at no time at all! As expected, I absolutely loved everything about it, most of all, when the story took it to the majestic highlands of Scotland!!! Frame had revealed about the Scotland angle where we'd be introduced to another pack, Wulver, cousins of the Wolfgang Pack, who would play an important role in the se ...more

“Blood of the Pack - (Wolfgang County #2)” is the third book in the series (there’s a 1.5 between books 1 & 2), and features the third narrator in the series.

I was excited to see Melissa Sternenberg as narrator (I love her narrations), even though I did enjoy AJ Ferraro in book 2. Having now finished the book, though, I actually wish Jenny Frame had stuck with AJ Ferraro. Ferraro did a much better job with continuity for the voices between books 1 and 1.5. Sternenberg does an excellent job narra
3.5 stars rounded up to 4 STARS for book #2 of Jenny Frame’s Wolfgang County Series.

Book #1 is Heart of the Pack that introduces us to the Wolfgang pack of werewolves. The pack is based in Wolfgang County, Utah and they own and operate a successful meat and distribution company, run by their Alpha, Dante. This book centers on the second in command, Caden and her new human accountant, Selena. It also introduces the rival Lupa pack. This pack and its leader, Leroux is determined to overthrow the
Jenny Frame is one of my favorite author's and I think I have read most if not all of her published books. This is technically the 2nd book in the Wolfgang series; however, there are mentions of the Debrak vampire series in here as well. Its not necessary to have read Dapper or Hunger for You but I feel like one will eventually need to as the they all take place in the same world.

Anyway, the story does start off in Wolfgang County. And it's a very satisfying story there as certain things are res

She did it again! Frame wrote another page turner!

This is, by far, was my favourite Wolfgang story. Might even be my favourite Frame book, yet. (I'll let ya know when my favourite Vampire make a return, Byron)

I loved catching up with my cute Caden and her mate Lena. As well as Dante, Eden and their cubs. I was more pleased to experience a higher level of intimacy between the Alpha and her mate, Eden. It wasn't something we got the pleasure of reading from previous books in this series. I will be

A future Alpha, family loyalty, sizzling hot scenes, revisiting characters, drama, action and a gorgeous setting. There is just so much to love in Blood of the Pack! It has a brilliant plotline, very engaging characters and an amazing romantic love story. Jenny Frame never fails to deliver a magical and exciting story. I put the entire series high on my favorites list and I certainly will reread all 3 books asap. Now I'm looking forward to the next one and hopefully it will be a story abo

After listening to this book I rate this book as one of the better books of this series. I liked the Scottish Wolver pack and the way Frame described them in the book. The romance, the fierce lovemaking. I’m not going to say more, just a great book: read it or listen to it. I promise you’ll enjoy yourself.

Melissa Sternenberg did a good job narrating this book.
ARC received via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This is book 2 of the Wolfgang series. I did not think much of book 1 (Heart of the Pack), but found the novella for this series (Soul of the Pack) an improvement, so figured I’d give this a shot. There’s also some references to vampires in this book that may be related to Frame’s Hunger for You but I’m not a vampire fan, so can’t say for sure.

This is a fair improvement on book 1, not least because the two MCs are way more interesting

Enjoyable read.

It's a two part of story you might say.

First is we meet Zaria who on the run from her pack the Lupa who aren't the greatest wolves we don't know how long she was on the run her and her sister Marta ran when Marta learn their suppose Alpha Leroux promise her second in command Ovid her sister and even though Marta couldn't stand up for herself she wasn't going to let Zaria get hur

I love Jenny Frame's book, and this one was no exception.

This is the second book in the Wolfgang County series, but it could be read as a stand-alone. I think you'd get more of an emotional impact if you read the other books first, but it wont stand in the way of enjoying this stand-alone romance and the action packed journey. Ricky is visiting the US from Scotland, to work with her friend Dante to learn what it's like to be Alpha and run a company for when she returns home. It's there she meet

The Good.

Blood of the Pack from Jenny Frame what can I say; when I was offered this book, I was like ok cool I get to see what the Wolfgang’s are up to. I want to say a lot about this book, but I don’t know if I have enough time or room to do so; but lucky for everyone I tend to overwrite. If I had to compare this book to something it would be akin to crack; its

Is it the end?

Ohh I hope not.
This book is about someone running but never finding. Until now.
Being accepted for who you are is everyone's dream.
I can't tell you much because a little is a spoiler in itself.
Just know at times you'll laugh, times of sadness, times of sorrow and injustice. But so much love and acceptance.

I absolutely love this series, already cant wait for the next, Rhuri maybe?? Fingers crossed
This is the third in Frame's paranormal romance Wolfgang County and probably would not work well if you read it without reading the first two (Heart of the Pack and Soul of the Pack) as characters and plotl ines from the first two are carried through into this one.

As you may have deduced from the series name and the cover - this one is all about werewolves.  In this one we meek Kenrick, the soon to be alpha the Scottish Wulver pack and cousin of  Dante.   Kenrick has arrived in Wolfgang County t

A nice read for lgbt wereromance, enjoyable enough but I found it just seemed to lack real chemistry and a certain spark, but a nice tale.

I have always enjoyed a good lesbian werewolf book and found myself greatly enjoying the approach this book took for the genre. Although I had not read the first book in the series, this one was done well enough that it made me want to check all the works by this author. The chemistry between Kenrick Wulver and Zaria Lupa, along with all the other wolves, both allies and enemies, have such a dynamic between them that I couldn't stop reading once I picked it up. All the interactions and the emoti ...more
The complexity of the characters inspires the reader to delve deeper than just the story that’s on the surface. The seams of intricacy that is created between the emotional, physical and mental bonds of the characters endears readers to not only the shifter part of these people. But the human part. The soul. The part that is underneath. 5/5 for a stellar romance and story that both stirs and probes intimacy at it’s very core.

Family, loyalty, love and passion- that’s what ‘Blood of the Pack’ is essentially about. Kenrick Wulver is about to become the Alpha of her pack in the Scottish Highlands. And she’s struggling with the changes this will mean. She visits the Wolfgang Pack in the States to try and learn some of the new responsibilities she’ll be expected to master. While there she comes across a wounded submissive wolf and feels something she’s never felt before. Zaria is from the Lupan Pack and has been on the ru ...more

Uuuuh... Okay, what did I just read...

Blood of the Pack was a very strange read, not because I didn't read the first book or the novella. I could catch up to that just fine, because the characters mostly tell the story of what happened anyways. It was strange in the sense that I never knew whether someone was female or male. A lot of females had male names which was very confusing.

What also confuses the heck out of me is

Loved the Story but not so much Zaria.

It seemed like all she did was hurt Ricky when all Ricky did was prove herself to her. Then she kept asking herself why Ricky didn’t want to touch her. She would tell Ricky that she wasn’t ready and then wonder why she wasn’t touching her. She was confusing and I get she was hurt in her past but she made me not enjoy the book as much. Don’t understand how easily Ovid kidnapped her or even got inside to kidnap her. Loved me some Ricky tho!

I wanted desperately to like this book more than I did. Lesbian werewolves?! I was so excited. I was pumped. I became very frustrated very quickly. First, I didn’t realize that this was part of a series. My fault I didn’t do the research and so some things were confusing but may have been explained in previous books of

This was the first Wolfgang County book that I read, having skipped the first one when it came out. It's not that hard to get into the groove of things, because Frame did a great job of providing enough exposition to help new readers along. It is a continuation of the first book, but with new characters as leads. And it seems to have expanded the world a little bit, with Kenrick being the Alpha to be of the Wulver werewolf pack, the cousins of the Wolfgangs. I will point out that the first half ...more

I want to start off by pointing out I have not read the other two books that came before this one. I wasn't aware of them before starting this book.

With that in mind, I am being a tiny bit lenient with my review as it is obvious there are parts of this book that would have meant more had I read them. That being said though, I enjoyed this book. There are a LOT of names thrown at you very quickly near the beginning. Again, I assume I would have an easier time had I read the others. That and a few

Blood of the Pack continues Jenny Frame's werewolf series. The world of the expands from Wolfgang County to Scotland and the Old World in the instalment. In this story we are introduced to Kendrick as the alpha-in-waiting of the Wulver Pack, and Zaria, hiding from the dastardly Lupa Pack.
This book has some great things going for it. A good story, magic, some coherent world-building, great characters, and devious enemies. Kendrick is every bit the stunning, charismatic, androgynous/butch dominant
