Moriah is the perfect combination of fiery and vulnerable and she’s a great match for the quiet, patient, and protective Samuel. Moriah takes motherhood to a truly fierce level. I adore everything about Misty M. Beller’s Heart of the Mountain series, and This Daring Journey continues the story of family and friends in Canada’s heartland. This story can stand alone, but it’s great to reunite with previous beloved characters, such as Simeon & Emma, Noelle & Daniel, Seth & Rachel. Having met Samuel in the previous story, which focused on his twin and ended with him riding off to find Rachel’s brother, I was ...more

Misty M. Beller has a way with words that makes me feel like I am a part of the story. I can visualize each step of their journey. I just don't read the story. I actually live the story along side Moriah and Samuel.

This book is number six in a series. I did not read the rest of the books in the series though I do now want to. I'm sure they are now going to be in my list of to be reads. Even though I did not read the first five in the series I did not feel lost within this book. So, while they are a series and I'm sure I'd have more inside information from reading in order, I do feel this book can be a stand alone.
