Reviews from the Heart (Kimberly Anne)

Good gosh almighty. Where to start? Okay, first and foremost my emotions are in a state of array, so this may come out a jumbled mess, so please bare with me. Free To Believe has absolutely, positively consumed my entire being for the past 7 hours. 6.5 of those being, my eyes glued to my kindle. The other 1/2 hour has been trying to gather my thoughts, and being able to make sentences out of them. So here we go, here is my thought process at this moment; I am emotionall

This book wrecked me. I knew from the beginning that there would be at least one scene that would make me cry (it’s hinted too much, to not happen), so I expected that one scene. What came after that was heartwrenching and almost destroyed me. I still have tears in my eyes and I finished that book yesterday! The author hit me right in the feels and I needed that. I needed it so much! This book was extraordinary and I definitely will pick up the rest
6 amazing stars. I was sobbing. When my thoughts are slightly more coherent, a real review will be posted but man oh man. This one was a gut punch.

ETA: Okay real review time. Sort of.

I finished this book a week ago today and honestly, I'm still not recovered. I was on a streak of 4 star books and every book since I finished this one has been 2 to 3 stars. Nothing is gripping me and I'm not invested in the characters. I think I'm a victim of book hangover and this one won't let go.

There are many things you can count on in a Tracey Jerald book; having your heart broken into a million pieces is one of them but witnessing a love so strong, will put it back together again.

Each of the Freeman siblings have had a heartbreaking beginning and Emily Freeman’s story is no different. Time and time again, Emily’s heart is put through the wringer, she tried to protect herself and those around her as much as she could, but once Jacob Madison and his daughter comes into her life, her l

Well, I have been gutted! My heart has been ripped out and then put back together! Free to Believe is a heartbreakingly beautiful book that will definitely give you all of the feels. I don’t have the words to eloquently or even adequately describe how much I loved this book. It was amazing. I loved it, I loved it, I loved it. Did I say I loved it? Because I did! Thank you Tracey Jerald for creating such a beautiful, amazing family in the Freemans. I feel like I am a part of their family through ...more

Ahh my beloved, strong Freeman family, how I love thee and now Emily and Jake's story in Tracey Jerald's Free to Believe was simply AMAZING and so heartwarming!! This is a standalone in the Freeman Amaryllis series but I would strongly suggest reading the previous stories as they are all so wonderful!!

This extraordinary family makes you feel love, happiness and yes so much frustration at times but this is them, a family united by unimaginable circumstances yet together they are a family with so

Where do I start?! Each book in this series just keeps getting better and better! I was hooked right after Free to Dream and have anxiously awaited each story of the Freeman's ever since! Every time I think I found a new favorite story the next one grips me a little more than the last. Although Colby is still my main man, I was captured by Em and Jake! Em's struggle with love and heartbreak is near and dear to my heart and also her connection with Mugsy. Music is such an important part of my lif ...more

Must read series

Every book in this series just pulls at the heart strings. Makes you realize your life may not be perfect you at least didn't have to fight demons as a child. Emily had so many demons that she tried to run from but love found a way!

Lawd Free to Believe wrecked me completely, and I've read every book in this series, so I can honestly say that they've all been emotional, but still, this one WRECKED ME! Emily Freeman witnessed, and actually survived a tragedy as a young child that scarred her badly, and it has dogged her steps every since. Which led her into an engagement that she really shouldn't have entered into, but when that went south in more ways than one, she had to get away to find herself again. So she ends up in a ...more

Love at it's best

Although this is the first Tracey Jerald story I have read, it will definitely not be my last.

Emily And Jake both carry the scars of their pasts. In order for them to act on the attraction for one another, they need to face some truths. Sometimes you need to hit rock bottom in order to reshape your life.

This story was heartbreaking beautiful. The emotions from highs to lows but underlying with love had me captivated and invested in finding out how the story ends.

A highly engaging story about family, healing and love

Book 5 in the Amaryllis series (including the holiday novella), while this can be read as standalone, due to the complex family history and large number of characters carrying over from book to book, for maximum enjoyment I recommend reading the series in order.

I’ve been a fan of the series since book 1 and they just keep getting better. There’s so much emotion and I found Emily’s story particularly touching; as typical for this series, I wa

5 Emotional Rollercoaster Stars!!

WOW!! JUST WOW!!! This book and this series has consumed my life for the last few weeks and I can honestly say I’m a different person after reading these books. This book is Emily’s book and if you’ve read the previous books, which I HIGHLY recommend, you know this girl is part of the glue that holds this broken family together in ways I don’t think she understands.

The thing is, Emily is somewhat broken too and while I’d like to say this book is her chance to g

Won my heart all over again! I have very recently become a huge fan of Tracey’s and I can’t express how much her writing exceeds some of the books I’ve read recently. While they are a bit longer than I’m use to, you get to know each and every thing about these characters intimately. You get overflowing information about each character and it makes you want to be apart of this family!

At the beginning I was curious about Em’s relationship and then quickly angry over some of the things he said. As

This series has been amazing! I hope everyone has the chance to read all the previous books. This book could be read as a stand-alone but I think everyone would enjoy the journey even more by reading them all. Emily Freeman believed love was not in the cards for her when it came to relationships; so she settled. She felt obligated to be engaged to Dr. Bryan Moser because he checked all the boxes in as a boyfriend except love and she okay with that. In the past, anyone close to her suffered becau ...more

Death has been her life, it's all she knows of those she loves. So few get close to her these days.

Long ago she made a pact to keep those she loves safe, now the struggle is real as shes tried and tested upon her promise.

His world changed completely when his daughter was young and suddenly he was a single parent.

A fresh start, a chance to regroup and they are thrust together to forge a path of .. of what?

I really love the Freeman's and getting up close and personal with the siblings. They are al

My introduction to the works of Tracey Jerald and she has gutted me. I can not believe how much this story touched my heart strings. Emily has seen so much heart break in her young life that she has decided that she is destined to be cursed in matters of love. When she finds her fiance with another woman, she decides it is time to escape her little corner of the world and disappear for awhile to regroup. She accepts the offer of her friend Dani to use the apartment adjacent to her summer home. W ...more

No No No No No This one was not supposed to be this bad!!!!!!!! I wasn't going to bawl. I wasn't going to try to kill my kindle. I wasn't going to scream and shout at my kindle like a mad woman. Nope I was going to hold it together and not crack. Lies!!!!!!!!!! Yup in this one we have Em's story and it just destroyed what defenses I tried to pretend I had. If Em's story doesn't touch you I don't think anything will. She had so many reasons to believe the lies life had programmed in her brain. Ev ...more

I always know one thing going into Tracey’s books and it’s that she is going to tear my heart out and stomp on it, then inevitability piece it back together again. Well she sure did that and more. Not only were the pieces put firmly back together but you couldn’t find any of the cracks that were once there. This story sure had all the feels. I felt like I was living this story. She weaves such a story line, that a lot of people can relate in some way to the issues they are dealing with throughou ...more

Wow what a ride! This book is defiantly a roller coaster ride of emotions. Emily has some demons that interfere with her life considerably and although Jake is battling demons of his own, he is determined to help Emily past hers. This is a must read book but have tissues handy and be ready to have your emotions all over the place.

Be prepared to grin and “ugly” cry

Love the 4th book in this series. The author brings the characters to life and drags the reader through the heartaches and joy of overcoming tragedy and discovering love.

With each new book Tracey Jerald writes, she breaks my heart and puts it back together. Free to Believe was no different. Jake and Emily’s story had me in a testy mess the last quarter of the book. My heart was so broken over how Emily felt about herself. And damn that Jake for making it worse!!!
I was happy to see the groveling and growth on Jakes part. By the end of this book my heart was smiling.
If you haven’t read about The Freeman siblings yet, what are you waiting on??? I highly recommend

Wow, Emily & Jake's love story was epic! I was emotionally all over the place as the story comes alive from each page. The book had me from the get go. Such passion that Emily has in drawing and then there is Jake & his daughter Jenna. A father who wants the best for his daughter and a girl trying to find herself. How they formed their love thru hard stubbornness and tragedy. A love so emotional that even i could feel it. Tracey continues to make each book an amazing love story. I ca

Omgggg she did it again! I loved this book. IlovedEmily. I loved Jake. God i loved his musical ways. I loved Jenna. You know who i loved the most, the whole Freeman family! I missed them and loved every bit i saw of them! Ok lets talk about how much i loved Mugsy. That dog has a place in my heart now. God i just want to hug him and give him cuddles. So much emotions but so worth it. I highly recommend this series to read! Its such a great series.

I have taken so much time to digest this book because it hit so many emotions, from love to disgust/hatred. The prologue set the whole feel of the book. The way Emily feels about herself truly gutted me because no one and I mean no one should ever think they deserve what she thought.

Emily is a very independent, strong, and very talented young woman. She has the love of her family however, can she have the love of anyone else or will she lose everything? Emily has not had it easy like all of the

Free to Believe is one of my favorite books of 2019. The characters and storyline flowed easily and was hard to put down. It’s a book that gives you all the feels and angst between Jacob, a single dad and Emily who was recently engaged. This book had several twists and turns. I couldn’t decide whether to yell at the kindle or praise Tracey Jerald, so I did both. I love the Freeman family, their back stories, trials and tribulations and beautiful storytelling from Tracey Jerald.

An amazing book from a very talented author who really knows how too capture a readers attention.

I was a complete wreck reading this amazing story. I was going through so many emotions, I didn't know if I'll make it through the whole book.

But I powered on and carried on reading even though it was breaking my heart. I felt everything that Jake & Em were going through.
I loved this book.

Tracey Jerald has once again managed to make me cry. Get your tissues ready!! Free To Believe is the latest book in the Amaryllis Series and follows Emily Freeman. Emily is damaged and broken but hides it under her tough exterior. Nobody has been able to break down her walls until Jake Madison. Jake is a single dad, musician and teacher who has just what it takes to get to Em’s heart. The rest of the Freeman clan is along for the ride as well and definitely doesn’t disappoint.
