Highly anticipated and as wonderful as I hoped it would be!! Another truly amazing historical romance by Ms. Ridley.
Lucien is definitely my favorite le Duc sibling! How can you not love a man who lives for his family the way he does, working so hard and putting aside his own wants and needs. He is so serious and I loved seeing Meg tease him and tell him one outrageous thing after another. As soon as I received this book, I had to start it. I was anticipating Lucien’s story since I finished The Duke’s Embrace. Reading about Lucien and Meg had me feeling bad for them both. Lucien never felt at home in England and Meg was always looking for a home. They had me hoping they would find their happy ever after. This is the 8th book in the 12 Dukes of Christmas series and I have enjoyed everyone of them. I cannot believe I have to wait until next year for the balance of the books. I

Meg is on the wild side; Lucien is sober and determined to return to France. Opposites attract, right? In this installment of the series Lucien realizes he has a very good reason to finally learn English - his sister's stepchildren and possible future nephews and nieces. The English lessons with Meg also serve for them to learn more about each other, although they both believe it will probably lead no where, except heartbreak. Nice story.

Lucien's and Meg's story is hilariously funny and mischevious. The way Meg was teasing Lucien made me laugh out loud many times. I also enjoyed the interwoven French. It took me back to the time when I actually spoke French fluently. And Meg's advice to Lucien to not translate everything he wanted to say in English but to think in English was spot on. My American friends said the exact same thing to me when I started speaking English. The whole story took me back to my own past and I absolutely

Wow, what a great book! The characters are hilarious. There is Margaret, or as her friends call her "Meg", and there is Lucien. Lucien is a dark, brooding, gorgeous, blacksmith and Meg is a well-read, uncensored, infatuated young lady. Although determined to return to France, Lucien asks Meg to tutor him in English. This book contains romance but it is so much more. I loved the humorous interactions between the characters. It added so much depth to the book. Each book in this series has
