After The Storm is the second book in the Project Artemis series. It’s a great book! It’s suspenseful, hot and a little emotional. I loved it more than the first book. In The Darkness, the first book, I learned why and who created Project Artemis. Project Artemis is a group of men that help women who are in danger. After The Storm tells us Roman and Kate’s love story.
Roman is one of those men that protect women in danger. He’s strong, protective, smart, powerful and closed off. He loves silence and being alone. Roman loves his job at Project Artemis and he would do anything to protect a woman. It has been a long time since Roman has known love and he has been hurt in the past. He can’t fall in love, or he will lose his job. He thought he would never have a problem with that rule, but then he meets Kate.
Kate is smart, sweet, genuine and hardworking. She is definitely in danger. Her boss and one of his clients have been murdered. Her boss once told her that the case was very big and to not trust the police. Kate isn’t sure what to do, but she knows she needs to hide. Not long after that, a man named Roman finds her and tells her that he will protect her from that moment. Kate is hesitant, but Roman doesn’t go without a fight. Kate is very determined to find out who wants to kill her. It’s so much bigger than she ever expected, but Roman is always by her side.
Roman and Kate are amazing characters. I really liked them together. There was a chemistry between them from the start, but it took a while before they did something about it. Roman keeps his distant and Kate isn’t sure who to trust. Roman and Kate can’t imagine not being together in the end.

In this book, packed with action and suspense, Kate is on the running after her boss is killed. She becomes the prime suspect in the crime and Roman is sent to rescue her.
Roman, an ex-Army Ranger, never gets personally involved with his assignments, but Kate's sassy seems to spark something inside him that he can't let go... She drives him crazy, lol
But when the police are not the only ones after her, things get complicated and dangerous, and Roman swears he wont let her go, ever!
I really enjoyed this book. Kate and Roman banters are to die for!
The suspenseful and mysterious plot, entwined with the romantic side of this book, is exactly what I love most about this series!
Again, kudos for KM Scott and Anina Collins! They are definitely a great duo!

Book two takes us on a journey with Roman and dear Kate. Roman has been alone and about to crawl out of his skin until he is called for a mission for Project Artemis. I knew there was going to be immediate chemistry as Roman saw a picture of their client Kate.
Kate is headstrong, independent, but there is just some innocence in her. Maybe it is the good and kindness in her heart. She stirs so much trouble when Roman comes into the picture, I didn't know if I wanted to laugh or cry for him. The suspense has you trying to wrack your brain on what the heck is the happening. We know Kate was a by stander, but why are there so many people after her?
Even though this is based on the mystery and keep you on your toes with the guessing, you get the sizzling romance with these characters. When you think Roman has everything inside his head figured out, you find yourself gasping as he may lost his world in an instant. I am hooked with these series and can't wait for book 3! I love these characters and the team Persephone and Nick created!!

After The Storm is the second book in the Project Artemis series and it will keep you glued to the pages, it's one of those books that I found hard to put down. Loaded with action, suspense, angst, and passion it grabs you from the very first page and doesn't let go.

She is inquisitive, independent, sassy, feisty, and fights Roman at every turn, pushing his patience to the limit, and he finds himself enjoying her attitude. No one can be trusted, because the people they are looking for are bigger and badder.
You must read to get all the juicy details about the events that unfold in this romantic mystery. Will the liner decided he is not happy? Will Kate allow someone else to care for her and protector her?

After reading In The Darkness, I became excited to find a new series with new heroes. No the Project Artemis guys don't have special powers (unless protection is a special power) or change shapes but heroes none the less.
This team comes in to help women that on a normal day are independent in nature. Women that the law can't help them because the issue is in the gray area of the law but wishes they could. I only wish there was this kind of group in real life.
I recommend this series to readers who like a different kind of alpha male hero and independent female. Expect the unexpected with this group of individuals. It is fast paced, suspensefilled and just enough chemistry to keep your interest.
I honestly couldn't put the book down once I started and I am looking forward to the next installment.

When Roman signed on at Project Artemis he knew it was for a noble cause but, he was starting to restless, until he is given an assignment taking him to The Big Easy to protect a woman who is in danger but there is very little info other than that to go on.
Kate is running, her Boss is dead she knows she's in danger she doesn't understand why? Then this big man shows up to protect her. What could possibly happen?
The attitude Kate gives Roman is funny, the chemistry is off the charts, the angst is great, the suspense and mystery keep you turning the pages.
Awesome, just as good as the First book in the Series. I'm thinking this Series is going to be a Hit.

Their banter is sharp and witty, and they drive each other crazy. He doesn't let anyone stop him from solving a case and never lets anyone see the real person he is. Will he let this sharp, beautiful woman with plenty of attitude get to him, and will he be able to let her go?There is danger and suspense, with a bit of romance throughout this story. K.M. Scott and Anina Collins are a wonderful writing team.

WOW! Edge of my seat suspenseful! I did not put this book down until the last page. It drew me in and just had me hooked. I loved the development of the characters and the ah ha moment Roman has when discovering life would be better when spent with someone.
Kate is on the run and Roman is called in to protect her. But he does more than protect her from the people who killed her boss, he has to protect her from herself as well. Together they discover who is behind the murder and why. Somewhere along the way they fall in love. There is an HEA but at what cost.

The book begins with Kate waiting for her coworker to give her an update about boss who isn’t answering door or calls. She gets a text that changes her life, her boss and client he was working with are both dead. When her friend calls cops, someone notifies organization that Roman works for of Kate being in danger. Roman is selected for the job. From the beginning Kate doesn’t make it easy for him and fights him at every turn. Will Kate ever put guard down long enough to let Roman help her? An attraction develops but will they keep it professional or give into their feelings! I loved this story!

Once again, KM Scott and Anina Collins take you on an epic journey of two unlikely people thrusted together in a crazy circumstance and passion ensues. I think the one thing I really enjoy about this book and series as a whole is that it is heavy on the suspense and After The Storm does not disappoint in that aspect as you are throw into the dirty underworld of Southern politics!
Kate is feisty and I absolutely love that about her but when she butts heads with Roman, it is fireworks. You could feel the sizzle between the two of them right from the start but as it builds, it gets explosive! Between Roman’s stubbornness and Kate’s sass, these two are fighting for their lives as they go through insanity to get answers.
Overall, I think Roman is now my fave out of the boys. He is stoic but so passionate about what he does. There are some amazing twists and turns involved in this story too and it keeps you on your toes wondering what will happen next. I love the build of the characters plus the descriptive nature of this story. Makes you feel like you are right there with them! This story and this series is gold!

Well written story with normal men (no Powers and enhancment). They are still Great and will keep you excited.

I loved this book! This book takes off on the first page and never slows down!
The hero is the strong silent type. Alpha through and through. He has everything that makes us ladies swoon and fall in love. He’s handsome, protective, sexy, smart and brave.

Another great story of project Artemis by KM Scott!!! Two thumbs up !! Kate is on the run because her boss and her boss’s client were murdered on the same day. Running from cops because her boss told her not to trust them. Roman is given an assignment to protect Kate but is needing to know why and how she got involved. Great story put together. You won’t be disappointed! I can’t wait for more of the men from Project Artemis’s estate.

Wow! This story is full of suspense, drama, mystery and romance. I couldn't put the book down and it keeps you wanting to read more. I love Roman's character. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series. I highly recommend reading this series. I received an advance readers copy of this book.

This is the second book in the Project Artemis Series. I absolutely love romantic suspense and I love the story of Kate and Roman. The story is well written and entertaining, like the first book in the Series. The storyline is filled with action, suspense, mystery and drama. I can't wait for the next book in the Series! I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

SUSPENSE! I was on the edge of my seat, biting my nails, wanting to know what was going to happen next throughout this entire read. I was addicted and fully drawn into this world. I am loving this series and this book was even better than the first which I absolutely loved. I can't wait to see what these authors will come up with next because I am so ready to read more.

I loved the story of Kate and Roman. The story jumped right into the action as soon as it started. And Roman was a ALPHA!!!!!! I pove that he finally started thinking and believing in love and letting Kate in. He could have another book with what all happened in the military and his future with Kate.

Another great story
I really love how this series is going. These seem more lifelike and plausible than some others. This wasn’t one of those; where at the end you wished it didn’t end that way. I always have a sense of ahhh that was a great way to end it. These are definitely worth the read.

This is the second book in the series and just as action-packed and thrilling as the first one. The back and forth between these two characters was funny. Another great book by this duo.

I was very disappointed in this book, especially since it had over a 4.5 Rating.
Kate was a pain and so ungrateful towards Roman. Page after page was internal dialogue with each character repeating the same thing over and over to themselves. The plot never captured my attention and I had forced myself to finish the book. The boring conclusion to the plot was then summarized in 2 pages.

This is the second book in this action packed romantic trilogy with one of the men that works for Project Artemis, Roman given the assignment to save a woman named Kate that works as a legal assistant to personnel injury lawyer, Jonas who was just murdered in New Orleans. Someone thinks she knows important facts about the case Jonas was working on. His client was also murdered at the same time. Jonas warned her to not to trust the police if something happened to him. Once Roman found her the problem was convincing her to trust him and to tell him everything she knew about what Jonas was working on. It was amazing how they found the proof to take down the guilty parties before anyone else was murdered and sent it to Xavier at Project Artemis to decipher. They had to survive their kidnapping and Roman saved them but Kate did get shot. Project Artemis team retrieved them and saved Kate's life. Their love story was amazing and Roman was never leaving Kate's side again since he finally found true love. Kate was in love with Roman as well and I we he would always be there for her.
