Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews

When you go back to a series that you absolutely loved, you have high hopes that the author will enthrall you the way they did in the beginning. I couldn't stop reading the Rescue Me series and always waited until the next one came out. I was happy that Kallypso was bringing the Damian and Savannah saga to an end and was looking forward to seeing where she brought things. I am even more excited that she will finally give Marc and Angelina their HEA in the future as well. But, back to Damian and

5 Star Review Somebody’s Perfect (Rescue Me Saga, #7) by Kallypso Masters
When I heard that Kallypso Masters was releasing a new book in her Rescue Me Saga and that it was a follow up to Damian and Savannah’s previous story, I couldn’t wait to read. Whenever I see the name Kallypso Masters, it is an automatic purchase. This book was brilliant, from start to finish; I didn’t want to put it down.
I have always loved the characters that Kallypso Masters writes about, the way she develops and layers t

Another great read from Kallypso Masters in this series. I will adivse that you read book #3 Nobody's Perfect 1st as that is the start of Savannah and Damian's story.

Savannah has escaped her father, twice. He is awaiting trial. As is his accomplice and right hand man. Savannah and Damien along with 8 yr old daughter, Mari are thriving, hell she is even pregnant again. Sure she has issues from her past but with the love, care, and teachings (in BDSM) from Damien she is moving forward. When she r

An emotional touching story of overcoming abuse and torture and finally facing the demons both in the mind and in a court of law.

Savannah's story started in Nobody's Perfect. Savannah lived through the most horrid things from when she was 8 year old to 19 from her sick and perverted father and his business associate, Lyle. The only bright light during that time was her one night with Damián Orlando. After that wonderful night in her otherwise nightmare of a world she was gifted with Damian's ch

I’ve been waiting for this, the beautiful conclusion of Savannah and Damián’s story!
And i have to say,it was more than worth the wait!

The time has come for Savannah to have closure at last. For the abuse by the hands of her father and “friends”. For the fact he killed her mother,ánd nearly killed her. She doesn’t have to face him alone, though. She has her loving husband and Dom,Damián,as well as his adopted family, supporting her along this painful proces. Watchful of any evil tricks her father mi

My heart rate increased, I sat up straight! Breathing ragged. All I could think was
“And here we go!!!!”
Wow!!!! What a ride through the trial! I was treading carefully. But it was freeing, like a weight lifted. I was totally smiling when Savannah finished. She did it! She is my hero

After reading the other reviews it seems like I'm in the minority. I love this series and excited for Savannah and Damion but I found their story to be a little boring.
The story focuses on the trail of her father and while it was emotional front an perspective I didn't get the usual feels from this author.
I found myself skimming through some chapters to get to the end.

Savannah and Damien's story continues in this novel. What a story it was. We learned more about the abuse that Savannah had suffered at the hands of her father and Lyle, his business partner. Her father is pure evil and ruthless to the end, even pulling a stunt that pull Damien away from Savannah when she is to be called to the stand for rebuttal. He knows no moral compass, a true villain who deserves to rot in jail for the rest of his life and hopefully have done to him as he did to his own dau ...more

Love, love, loved this next installment in the saga - please ensure that you read them in order.
Great to catch-up with my favorite Dom Damian, his wife and family and see how life has progressed, wonderful to see the growth in these characters both from we originally met then and during the book too.
Ms Masters has excelled herself once again and has included glimpses into the other main characters in the series and given hints as plots in future stories be these full books of in a collection sim

I loved this book and well worth the wait. This is an author who does her research and her writing does take time because she wants to get it right and you can tell her knowledge is golden. I love how the series is not about HEA thats not the goal that I read. I see that the books are about real people who tell their stories. Damian and Savi's story continues and works on the past. I love how Kallypso is able to get deep into issues and doesn't shy away from real consequences of trauma, and how ...more

Wow, this was a great book – we got to see the conclusion of Savannah’s ordeal and the trial of her father – we got to see the couples that we’ve come to love over the years, and to see a new couple come to the club. This was a revelation, for the level of abuse, that Savannah’s father and his sidekick put her though was tough – but with Damian at her side and using the techniques, that they came up with to help her, she sailed high and was able to get it done. I love that they have all come tog ...more

Thank you so much for continuing Damian and Savannah story! From the first book you knew she had been badly abused but the trial really brought it home! Theirs is such a story of love and trust. Savannah is so strong and Damian just keeps her so grounded when she needs. The rest of the family is there. I was stunned by Alive Day it was so meaningful and powerful!! Thank you for this series and I hope more follow as you can. I have loved this series from the 1st one I read on KU! If yo

Confronting an abuser Savannah Orlando, didn't believe she was strong enough to face her abuser her father. With the trial, just a few months aways Savannah had doubts she would close up and wouldn't be able to tell her story. With the strength of her husband, Damian at her side believes in her. Protecting her when she comes face to face with her sperm donor her past coming back facing the fear, finding the courage within her to finally have revenge and seeing justice for her mother's death, and ...more

Well Done!

What an extraordinary culmination to Damián and Savannah's love story. Kallypso Masters did herself proud with this one. At times, it was a tough read because of all the emotions that were evoked as Savannah is finally able to tell her story and get justice for her beloved maman. Damián's growth into being a tower of strength for his Savannah is, in a word, awesome. With all the characters from the Rescue Me Saga woven throughout, this book was absolutely captivating. Well done, Kallyp

This has been a long awaited book. I will tell you that it was worth the wait for me!
I knew that it was going to be emotional for me as Savanah and I share similar childhoods. Hearing more if her story and the strength that she had has inspired me to try to put more of my past behind me.
I laughed, cried and cheered loudly through this whole book. Seeing Savannah and Damien move through the challenges they had were amazing.

I can't wait to catch up with everyone again.

This is the continuation to Damian and Savannah’s story, a story about their quest to find justice for her past...

Even though I had read their story a few years ago, it was easy to remember the details of what had happened to Savannah because of how this story was written.

This was her emotional, captivating story about how she comes face to face with the one who should have protected her, yet tried to do everything he could to destroy her. Here she proves that even without Damian or Adam, she c

I don't even know where to begin! Somebody's Perfect has to be one of my favorite books by Kallypso Masters (I LOVE all her books!!!). The emotional ride I took with this one had me riding the roller coaster from beginning to end and back again and again. While I had read Nobody's Perfect (and had a rough emotional time with that one as well), Somebody's perfect brings us to the next chapter of Damian and Savannah's story. I truly love this series and this was beautifully written and researched ...more

As always. I'm speechless....NOT. It it awesome to read a series of book that are not boringly the same. This author accomplishes exactly that, by making each set of characters different. I cried, cussed, tore my hair out for Savannah's pain. The torment and memories she went through must have been horrendous. And this is exactly why this author makes a difference. She writes about strong women that survive. And alpha men who protects them.
I'm hyped up for the next book. And I KNOW I'm gonna hav

I am a great fan of Kallypso Master's books (and the woman herself) so it was an easy decision to purchase this book.
I am not going to go through the plot, you will get to that when you read it. What I am going to say, is that the writing is amazing, I got caught up in the story right away, and lost a bit of sleep because I could not put the book down.
Be prepared though, this story exacts many emotions. I went through the whole gamut from laughing, to crying, from sighing with delight to biting

I just finished Somebody’s Perfect and it was sooooo worth the wait! Kallypso Masters puts her heart and soul in all of her books and this one is no exception. We went through the trauma Savannah experienced at the hands of her sperm donor in Nobody’s Perfect. Now it’s time to put the scumbag where he belongs. Savannah and Damián now have a battle not only in the courts but in Savannah’s mind. I laughed and cried and worried. I also felt like I was catching up with old friends and wanted to stay ...more

Finally we see the conclusion of some of the major drama our family of "masters " has gone through. While Savannah's mother can't be brought back to life , a price will be paid for it one way or another. Damien and Savannah are awesome as a couple and I loved seeing where life is taking Rosa. Things are finally coming to a place where they can breathe a little. Bravo Kallypso for another awesome book. 5 stars all the way. Write On!

Somebody's Perfect (Rescue Me Saga, Book Seven) by Kallypso Masters
I loved this book. It was so good to go back and visit the familiar people in this series and to see how they have grown in their love for each other. It was also very good to see how Savannah come come along with the help of Damian.
It was an awesome book. There were ups and downs, there were what the hell moments and there were teary moments.
It will keep you locked in until you can't put it down until you finish it.

Loved This Book!

Finally Damian and Savannah get closure for the unresolved chapter in their lives. Old, suppressed memories resurface and Damian has to work harder when Savannah has to testify at her father’s trial. I loved revisiting with all their close friends and family. Kallypso has a way of pulling you into the story so you forget everything else and don’t want to stop reading until the end.

I hate not getting to at least a 4 star for this book, but the disconnected story points threw me. The middle was great and totally had me zeroed in (why I managed to complete the full book within 24hrs!) but the beginning and even the end just fell so flat. It almost felt like reading multiple short stores that ran into each other on a time line. I will look forward to new character stores from Kallyso, but this follow up fell short for me.

Exceptional series with a perfect ending!!

Ms. Masters’ “Rescue Me Saga” series was incredible! I have read nothing that matches it and certainly nothing that surpasses it! The beautiful stories told in this series covered all of the characters that were first introduced. While each installment focused on one couple’s road to love, it also included vignettes of the other members. A very satisfying read and well worth the time invested.

This is the story of Damian and Savanna although all of the extended family, Adam & Karla, Marc & Angelina, Luke & Cassie, Megan & Ryder and Grant all make appearances. So we get to catchup with everyone and find out how Savanna is doing with her pregnancy and how life is going for her and Damian. This story has a lot of the feels that you expect from a Kally book. I loved this! Can’t wait for more of this family and the author!

Wow this series and this book is so good!! To fully enjoy this book, you should read the whole series. This is the struggles that Savannah goes through when facing her father during his trial for murder. The horror that Savannah endured was unimaginable but the love she got from Damian was what helped her to heal!! Definitely a very emotional but so satisfying book!!

I loved this new story. Before you start reading make sure you have a box of tissues handy because you are going to need them!
This story is about Savannah and her vile POS father where he is finally up in court.
It’s lovely to see Savannah and Damien together and to see how their relationship is going.
Well worth reading ❤️😢❤️

I have loved every book in this series, and this one is no exception. Kally’s characters are so well-written - they are not perfect, but they are perfect for each other. They feel like family. This book addresses some tough issues, but it was done in an empowering way, with love and compassion, in the context of a great story line. Can’t wait for more of the Masters at Arms family!
