Maverick Enterprises has been reduced to rubble. Mordecai has fled from Earth. He's ensconced himself in a galactic fortress and surrounded himself with an army of bots.
When Jonah is framed for the attack on Maverick, Maggie must go to Elderon alone. She is determined to clear Jonah's name and stop Mordecai's reign of tyranny, but a stowaway on board the space station has her own ideas. Even worse, the US military is plotting an attack — one that could kill everyone on Elderon.
To save the colony, Maggie and Tripp will forge a controversial alliance, and Jonah will make a choice that could have permanent consequences.

Another fantastic book in the series! I only wish it was longer. I was completely unprepared for that ending. I hope the next book releases soon, it's killing me not to know what happens.
I know I've said it before but Tarah Benner's Author's Notes are extremely fascinating and informative. If you read any of this series, you've got to read her notes in the back. They are just as good as her books!
Better than the second book and while I've mostly written off our main characters (Maggie and Jonah), the secondary players are worth keeping up with and the battle and technical aspects continue to be well done. I again give credit to the author for her Afterword and the detail and passion she has for her story. I'll read the next at some point.
This continuation of the Elderon Chronicles is beyond exciting as Maggie and Jonah race to save earth from bots reprogrammed to take over planet earth by a madman..... the same man who has taken the space station Elderon hostage.
You must read books I and II of this series to understand the genesis of this action-packed, intelligent plot. The creativity of this author combined with factual data makes for a thought provoking, entertaining story. The burgeoning romance between newsreporter Maggie and Sgt Jonah gets better but for the interference of the playboy millionaire heartthrob spicing things up.
I love reading dystopian books penned by Tarah Benner as she takes hold of you with the existing, advanced research and technology and expands it into a very serious and frightening possible outcome. No zombies. No fantastical plot. All based on hard facts! Makes you really think.
Although I received an ARC, I can honestly and ethically say it's an exceptional series and one worth reading. Highly recommend.
Book one was 4 stars, two was 3 stars, this one was 2. No story progression , no character development. Just super villain who know what you think, where you are, everything, for everyone on the planet.
Ohhh how things just don’t go the way you hope they would. My guy Jonah has just done what he thinks is right but everyone seems to not give a fuck. I guess that’s what happens when you deal with rich people, they have quarrels with watching you crash and burn as long as it doesn’t affect them. Maggie has one idea and does all she possibly can to get it done, no matter the consequences. These two are crazy I have no idea anyone could have that much energy to do all. But even with all that they do it’s not enough our evil villain is still two steps ahead, getting the upper hand on every situation. They were so close I hate that they were still outmaneuvered.
Ok, this series is still decent, but it could have been so much better.
The first book was really cool, then it got a bit worse, and apparently, it keeps getting worse.
The characters still have potential, but I wouldn't say I like where the plot is heading and it's starting to annoy me. So oh well, I'll quit the series while I'm ahead.
Picked up so much since the first book. This story has me completely glued to all things AI! What a crazy possibility this is and to imagine all the things that we have not yet heard about!? That is one crazy stand-off and I was left reeling at the end, floundering to get my hands on the next book.
Book 3 was like the other two books. The characters and plot did not change and there was no development in either topics. The overall was go back to the space station and then go back to earth, again.
Military base in space. What a questionable idea. All that is needed is a controlled scientist or someone crazed for power to overthrow powers to be. This story deals with a few well intentioned people trying to regain control of their military base in space.
