The Legal Environment of Business: Text and Cases -- Ethical, Regulatory, Global, and E-Commerce Issues

Rate this book
LEGAL ENVIRONMENT OF BUSINESS is the #1 text for this course--setting the standard by delivering comprehensive, authoritative, and cutting-edge coverage in an interesting and accessible format. Its recipe for success includes the same "black letter law" flavor as its #1 Business Law counterpart Business Law by Clarkson, Miller, Jentz, and Cross, but with a more specific focus on current topics like ethics, government regulation, and administrative law. The cases, content, and features of the exciting new 7th edition have been meticulously and thoroughly updated, representing the latest developments. An excellent assortment of cases ranges from precedent-setting landmarks to recent decisions. Ethical, global, and e-commerce themes are integrated throughout, and numerous critical thinking exercises challenge students to apply what they've learned to real-world issues. The text also offers an unmatched range of support materials -- including innovative online teaching and learning resources. It's no wonder that LEGAL ENVIRONMENT OF BUSINESS is used by more colleges and universities than any other business law text.

Dry and not very easy to read. Or logical. Or maybe it’s just the end of the semester and I’m tired of reading this textbook 🤷‍♀️

This is hands down the BEST textbook I've ever read. West's (listed as SouthWestern in the book) writes like 90% of all restatements of law in the United States. The samples given are clear, current and historical placed. They also, preemptively answer questions they've predicted new students to law will have (like how to pronounce "stare decisis" without having taken any Latin to base my guess on, or constantly referencing materials in previous/subsequent chapters as being related to what you're currently reading so that the information flows and is applicable).

I highly recommend this book. Please message me if you have any questions.

Very user-friendly, fairly dumbed-down law. Not bad at all. Same authors, slightly different version.
