Still basically a solid book although first published in 1966. Lots of information is covered in relatively few pages and lots of examples are given.
Additional research materials have become available since 1966 that don't change the history but would change how it is presented and cited. The footnotes in the book would look quite different if the book were published now using research materials that are more readily available in digital form.
This book covers all of New York State, not mostly New York City like Slavery in New York, but is not as attractive.
